Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a wild beast repellent for protecting planted trees and agricultural products from wild beasts.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Herbivores such as sika deer, hares, and antelopes are harmful to afforested trees and agricultural crops, and therefore effective repellents are desired to combat these damages.
[0003]
For repelling such wild beasts, repellents for mammals have been used in the past. In Japan, ziram wettable powder (trade name: Conifer), thiuram preparation (trade name: Rent, Anles), petroleum Asphalt agents (trade name: Bramac) are commercially available.
[0004]
In addition, rotting eggs (US: trade name: Deer Away), capsaicin agents (US: trade name: hot sauce), higher fatty acid ammonium soaps (US: trade name: hinder), etc. are commercially available overseas.
Recently, it has been reported that rosin has a repellent effect on deer. (The 110th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Forestry Society, Orihashi et al. 1999, P708-709)
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the various repellents as described above have a bad odor, irritation and toxicity to humans, have a weak effect, and are inferior in sustainability of the effect.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and is a wild beast feeding repellent that is highly repellent to wild beasts, has little irritation and toxicity, and can maintain the repellent effect over a long period of time. The purpose is to provide.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, as a result of searching for a substance having a wild beast repellent effect from foods and food additives having no toxicity problem, the present invention has found an effect on dried egg yolk of chicken eggs. Although there are already repellents containing rotten eggs as active ingredients, it has not been known that dry yolks that are not rotten have a repellent action.
[0008]
Furthermore, it was found that dry egg yolk alone had a short onset of effect, but repellency was maintained for a long time by combining rosin.
Although rosin has been reported to have a repellent effect, the effect was unstable when rosin alone was used.
In addition, the wild beast used as a target in the wild beast feeding repellent of the present invention refers to animals such as sika deer, hares, antelopes, wild boars, and mice that cause damage to useful plants.
[0009]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Dried egg yolk can be made effective by suspending in water and spraying or applying to a plant to be damaged.
As the egg yolk concentration of the spray liquid, an effect is recognized at 0.3% or more in terms of dry egg yolk, but a sufficient effect can be expected when it is desirably 1% to 30%.
[0010]
When combining with rosin, first, rosin is dissolved in an organic solvent such as alcohols, egg yolk and water are added, and an emulsifier is added as necessary, and sprayed or applied as an emulsified dispersion.
The rosin concentration of the spray liquid is 1 to 30%, preferably 3 to 10%. If the concentration is too low, the sustainability is lowered, and if it is too high, it is solidified and cannot be sprayed.
[0011]
【Example】
The effects of the present invention will be described below with reference to examples and test examples.
[0012]
[Example 1]
2% of silica was added to dry egg yolk and mixed well so that it could be quickly suspended in water.
This was suspended in water, and 1%, 3%, and 9% concentration solutions were prepared as dry egg yolk concentrations (w / w). [Used egg yolk: Kewpie Corporation: Dry egg yolk No. 21-F]
[0013]
[Example 2]
Using the silica-added dried egg yolk of Example 1, a solution of rosin dissolved in n-propyl alcohol at a ratio of 1: 1 (w / w) was added to the 20% aqueous suspension with stirring. The mixture was adjusted by adding water to prepare a solution having a dry egg yolk concentration of 3% and a rosin concentration of 5%, and a solution having a dry egg yolk concentration of 3% and a rosin concentration of 10%.
[0014]
[Test Example 1]
In October, a cypress plantation newly planted in September in Tochigi Prefecture was sprayed with a spray solution of Example 1 and, as a comparison, a 10% rosin / ethyl alcohol solution and a 5-fold diluted solution of ziram wet powder on cypress leaves. The test consisted of 25 lines in 1 area, 4 stations, and a total of 100 in each treatment area. Investigation was conducted every 2 months after treatment. The results are shown in Table 1.
[0015]
[Table 1]
Figure 0004179781
[0015]
[Test Example 2]
In a Japanese cedar plantation newly planted in May in Iwate Prefecture, the spray solution of Example 1 and a 10% rosin / ethyl alcohol solution and a 5-fold diluted solution of dilam wettable powder were sprayed on cypress leaves in November. The test consisted of 25 lines in 1 area, 4 stations, and a total of 100 in each treatment area. Investigation was conducted every 2 months after treatment. The results are shown in Table 2.
[0016]
[Table 2]
Figure 0004179781
[0017]
From these two test results, it can be seen that the repellent effect of dried egg yolk and the prolonged effect by mixing with rosin are remarkably made.
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the present invention has revealed that dried egg yolk suppresses the feeding damage of wild beasts of useful plants, and has found that the effect can be sustained for a long time by combining rosin. This technology can be used to control deer and hares in damaged areas.
