Description
【0001】

INSERT INTO imageDB VALUES(’E’,X1,’N’,Y1,’イメージデータ’);
【0046】
図6に示す具体的な地名座標管理表では、「JR渋谷駅」はレコード1の地名フィールドの3番目と、レコード3の地名フィールドの5番目に含まれるので、出力座標リストは、{(X11,Y11),(X12,Y12)},{(X31,Y31),(X32,Y32)}となる。これはに2つの矩形領域{(X11,Y11),(X12,Y12)},{(X31,Y31),(X32,Y32)}
X11<=X1<X12でかつ
Y11<=Y1<Y12でかつ
X31<=X1<x32でかつ
Y31<=Y1<Y32
Xm<=X1<Xm+1でかつ
Ym<=Y1<Ym+1
INSERT INTO imageDB4 VALUES(Y,’イメージデータ’);
X11<=X1<X12でかつ
Y11<=Y1<Y12でかつ
X31<=X1<X32でかつ
Y31<=Y1<Y32
Xn<=X<Xmでかつ
Yn<=Y<Ym
SELECT IMAGE
FROM imageDB2
WHERE areraNAMES=:searchString;

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an information management apparatus that manages information input from an information processing apparatus, and more particularly to an information management apparatus that is optimal for managing image information input from a mobile information processing apparatus. A mobile object that executes information processing is referred to as a mobile information processor or simply a mobile object.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventional mobile information management systems can be broadly classified as follows.
(A) It has a normally known database. A keyword is assigned to the information input by the mobile body and registered in the database each time the user inputs it. Information is searched according to the keyword or search information including the keyword.
(B) Information input from a mobile object is registered with a character string or character string. Alternatively, a character or character string is generated by character processing, natural language processing, statistical processing, or recognition processing on the input information, and this is added to the information and registered in the database. Information is searched according to search information including the above-mentioned character or character string.
(C) The position information of the moving body is registered in the database. The position of the moving body is searched from the identifier of the moving body. Conversely, the identifier of the moving object is searched according to the range of the position of the moving object.
[0003]
However, in the management system of (a), since the user gives search information such as keywords in advance and manages, naturally the request to store information without giving keywords or search information and to search by a character string later is handled. Can not. The search can be performed only when a keyword or the like given by the user is used, and the search cannot be performed using other character strings or search information. It is extremely difficult to complete a search key or the like in anticipation of a future search. There is a cost to select what kind of character string and search information.
[0004]
Moreover, in the system of (b), in order to search later the information input from the mobile body, the input information is subjected to character matching processing, natural language processing, statistical processing, year processing, and characters, character strings, A data string is generated and attached to the information, or the generated character or the like is registered in the database instead of the information or as information search information. Preprocessing such as character matching processing requires enormous processing costs, and is an excessive burden on a mobile body that requires low power consumption and downsizing and has limited processing capabilities. For this reason, registration of information is delayed. Although it is conceivable to borrow processing resources of other computers through a network or communication means, the procedure also takes time.
[0005]
In addition, the system of (c) is merely a search for the position and identifier of the moving object,
It does not have a function of adding position information of the moving body to information input from the moving body, and therefore does not have a function of searching for information input from the moving body using the position information of the moving body as a clue.
[0006]
References related to the systems (a), (b), and (c) described above include JP-A-6-205457, JP-A-5-281902, and Technical Report of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (TECHNICAL REPORT OF IEICE EID93). -88, HC93-55, December 1993, pp7-12). Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-205457 discloses a mobile network in which a large number of mobile bodies move at the same time by receiving a signal from a mobile terminal at a base station and storing location information of the mobile terminals in a database. Is disclosed to reduce the cost of registering location information. Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 5-281902 discloses that current position information is transmitted, position information is calculated from a road / map database, and the current position of a moving object is accurately grasped. The previous IEICE technical report discloses that raster image information input by handwriting using a pen tablet is recognized and converted into text information consisting of character codes and then stored in a file.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made in consideration of the above circumstances, and when inputting information, it associates measurement information such as environmental brightness, color, humidity, weather, atmospheric pressure, volume, etc. for later retrieval, etc. An object of the present invention is to provide an information management apparatus that can be used. Note that one of the purposes of use of location information is search, but is not limited thereto.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention employs a configuration as described in the claims.
[0009]
That is, according to one aspect of the present invention, an information management apparatus including at least a moving body includes: an imaging unit provided on the moving body for capturing an image; and an attribute value of a predetermined attribute provided on the moving body. Measuring means for measuring; and storing means for storing the image from the photographing means provided in the moving body and the attribute value of the predetermined attribute from the measuring means in association with each other are provided.
In an information management apparatus including at least a moving body: an imaging unit provided on the moving body for capturing an image; a position information acquisition unit provided on the moving body for acquiring position information of the moving body; and the imaging unit Storage means for storing the image from the position information and the position information from the position information acquisition means in association with each other.
[0010]
In this configuration, useful related information can be added to an image using measurement information associated with the image.
[0011]

Information registration and search procedures may be determined in advance and accessed from a mobile information processing apparatus or another information processing apparatus.
[0017]
Also, registration of the input information in the information database does not need to be performed immediately after the information is input. It may be performed at a predetermined timing from information input to search execution.
[0018]
The attribute detection may not be performed immediately after the information is input. Measurement or detection may be performed at an arbitrary timing before and after information input.

It is a string. This expression represents a registration command for adding a coordinate value to image data and registering it in a database called imageDB.
[0039]
In order to encode the image data into text data, for example, a UNIX (trade name) unencode command or a MIME encode command defined by RFC1521 to RFC1524 can be used. Of course, the image data may be registered without being encoded.
[0040]
Next, information retrieval will be described. The search is performed using the place name where the information is input or the place name of the area including the place.
[0041]
When a place name of the

As shown in FIG. 3, a vertical division line and a horizontal division line are provided at regular intervals on the map to define a rectangular area. The coordinates of the vertices A, B, C, and D are set to (XN, YN), (XN + 1, YN), (XN, YN + 1), (XN + 1, YN + 1) in the rectangular area defined by A, B, C, and D in the figure. ). Since the rectangular area can be defined by two vertex coordinates forming a diagonal line, the rectangular area is represented by using a set of coordinates A and D {(XN, YN), (XN + 1, YN + 1)}. It is assumed that one or more place names exist in one rectangular area.
[0043]
FIG. 4 shows the format of the place name coordinate record of the place name versus coordinate management table (FIG. 5). One record includes a coordinate field representing two coordinates representing one rectangular area, and a place name field storing one or more place names. Since the place name field has a variable length depending on the number of place names to be stored, it is managed as a place name list, and a terminal symbol is stored as a special identifier at the end of the place name list. Of course, other variable length record management methods may be used, or a fixed length may be used. For example, a place name versus coordinate management table may be configured by a predetermined number of place name fields and a predetermined number of coordinate fields, and one area may be expressed by a plurality of records.
[0044]
FIG. 5 shows an example in which a place name-to-coordinate management table is composed of a plurality of place name coordinate records.
[0045]
In a place name database using such a place name versus coordinate management table, coordinate values are output as follows. First, when “JR Shibuya Station” is input as a place name from the

In this configuration example, since the coordinate value, which is the attribute of the event that captured the timetable at “JR Shibuya Station”, was (X1, Y1), the first record and the third record of the place name versus coordinate management table The values {(X11, Y11), (X12, Y12)}, {(X31, Y31), (X32, Y32)} of the respective coordinate fields of
X11 <= X1 <X12 and
Y11 <= Y1 <Y12 and
X31 <= X1 <x32 and
Y31 <= Y1 <Y32
It is comprised so that. This is because “JR Shibuya Station” is included in both the region {(X11, Y11), (X12, Y12)} and the region {(X31, Y31), (X32, Y32)}. As described above, in this configuration, the JR timetable image captured at “JR Shibuya Station” is always included in the coordinate image correspondence table output by the displayed GSQL command.
[0053]
As described above, the JR timetable image taken with an electronic camera at JR Shibuya Station can be searched later with the place name “JR Shibuya Station”. For the area {(Xm, Ym), (Xm + 1, Ym + 1)} including the place name "Shibuya" in the place name versus coordinate management table,
Xm <= X1 <Xm + 1 and
Ym <= Y1 <Ym + 1
The JR timetable image taken with an electronic camera at JR Shibuya Station can be searched with the place name “Shibuya”.
[0054]
In this configuration example, the search key is the place name, but the address, country name, prefecture name, municipality name, building name, facility name, organization name, ministry name, company name, corporation name, sales office name, shop name, sales floor name River name, mountain hill name, road name, passage name, route name, intersection name, stop name, station name, floor number, postal code, etc.
[0055]
In general, if a place name-to-coordinate management table that retains and manages the correspondence between the name of a place including every place name used daily and the area corresponding to the name is prepared in advance as described above, at least An information management apparatus for searching for an image from the name of an arbitrary place registered in the place name versus coordinate management table is realized. In particular, in a moving object, when an image is taken, two events occur simultaneously: “taken an image” and “being in a certain place” when taking an image. In this embodiment, coordinates are used as an attribute of an event “photograph an image at a certain place”. That is, the coordinates obtained by automatically measuring the coordinates of the photographed point with respect to the photographed image data are added as information for retrieval, and the photographed image information is recorded and managed in the
[0056]
The information input by the mobile body and registered in the database is not limited to image information, and may be characters, character strings, audio information, and video information. Audio information and video information can be encoded into text data and then decoded and restored in the same manner as in the above embodiment.
[0057]
As the event attributes, not only latitude and longitude, but also various measurable attributes such as information recording location, brightness, color, temperature, humidity, weather, atmospheric pressure, and volume can be used. One or more attributes can be used. If an attribute value measurement result is output as an integer or a real number with a predetermined accuracy, it can be configured in the same manner as this embodiment.
[0058]
In this embodiment, an attribute value of an attribute of an event that occurs when inputting information is measured, and this is stored together with the information. Later, a search key is converted into an attribute value, and search information including this attribute value is used. Searching for information. According to this, there is no trouble of assigning a search key when inputting information as in the prior art, and there is no need to perform preprocessing for generating a search key. Furthermore, a search method using event attributes, for example, a search method called “images taken at Shibuya Station” enables a search function similar to a method in which humans remember memories, thus providing an extremely flexible search method. In addition, the flexibility of information management in a network system including a mobile object can be improved.

Next, another configuration example of the first embodiment will be described. This configuration example uses a file input device as the

The above GSQL expression is sent to the image information database, and the image data is searched accordingly. If an image satisfying the search condition is stored, the host number and the image data are represented by one line and output as a host image correspondence table. If there is no image that meets the search conditions, nothing is output, and if there is one, one line is output, and if there are a plurality of images, the corresponding number of lines are output. In the host image correspondence table, one image data corresponds to a host number representing an attribute value of a host number attribute that is an attribute of the event “input the image from a certain remote computer system”.

[0075]
In this configuration example, if the host number of the computer system of “Human Resources Department” is included in the record of the personnel department of the host image correspondence table, the host number Y is either 1, 2, or 3. The image file input from the computer system of the personnel department is always included in the host image correspondence table output by the above-described GSQL search command.
[0076]
As described above, an image file input from the computer system of the personnel department can be searched later with the organization name “HR department”. Of course, the image data input from the computer system of the organization can be searched with an arbitrary organization name.
[0077]
In this configuration example, the search key is the organization name, but the address, country name, prefecture name, municipality name, building name, facility name, ministry name, company name, corporation name, sales office name, shop name, sales floor name, river Name, mountain hill name, road name, passage name, route name, intersection name, stop name, station name, floor number, postal code, etc. may be used.
[0078]
In general, if a correspondence management table that holds and manages the correspondence between every name used on a daily basis and the host number corresponding to the name is created in advance as described above, it is registered at least in the correspondence management table. An information management device that searches for an image from an arbitrary name is realized. In particular, in a mobile unit, when an image file is input from a remote computer, it is connected to computers of various destination networks. In this configuration example, the host number is used as an attribute of the event “input an image file from a computer system”. In other words, the host number is automatically input to the input image file and given as information for search, and the input image file is recorded and managed in the information database. The user does not need to know and add special keywords or search information when recording image information, and preprocessing such as image recognition processing and statistical processing is unnecessary. Then, the information can be searched using a character string determined from the host number of the host computer connected at the time of input as a clue to search.
[0079]
The information input by the mobile body and registered in the database is not limited to image information, and may be characters, character strings, audio information, and video information. Audio information and video information can be encoded into text data and then decoded and restored in the same manner as in the above embodiment.
[0080]
In this configuration example, an attribute value of an attribute of an event that occurs when information is input is measured, stored together with the information, a search key is converted into an attribute value later, and search information including this attribute value is used. Searching for information. According to this, there is no trouble of assigning a search key when inputting information as in the prior art, and there is no need to perform preprocessing for generating a search key. Furthermore, a search method that uses event attributes, for example, a search method called “image file input from the computer system of the human resources department” enables a search function based on a method in which a person remembers a memory. A technique can be provided to improve the flexibility of information management of a network system including a mobile object.
[0081]
Next, still another configuration example of the first embodiment will be described. This configuration example is a modification of the configuration example of FIG. 2, and a graphical

GSQL expression 2-3 also describes the internal configuration of db2. That is, the attribute as the first argument is named latitdeflag and is a character type of
[0093]
Also in the second embodiment, in a specific configuration, as in the first embodiment, image information is input by an electronic camera, and coordinate data is generated by GPS. However, in the second embodiment, coordinate data from GPS is sent to the place name database (search key generation unit 507).
[0094]
This place name database (search key generation unit 507) has the place name-to-coordinate correspondence management table shown in FIGS. Values of the coordinate fields of the first record and the third record of the place name versus coordinate management management table {(X11, Y11), (X12, Y12)}, {(X31, Y31), (X32, Y32)} Is
X11 <= X1 <X12 and
Y11 <= Y1 <Y12 and
X31 <= X1 <X32 and
Y31 <= Y1 <Y32
It is comprised so that. When coordinates (X, Y) are input from the GSP, the region {(Xn, Yn), (Xm, Ym)} in the coordinate field of all the rows of the place name-to-coordinate correspondence management table,
Xn <= X <Xm and
Yn <= Y <Ym
All the place names in the place name field of records satisfying the condition are put in the output place name list. When all the rows in the place name-to-coordinate correspondence management table are inspected, the place name list held in the output place name list holding device (not shown) is output to the information registration unit 504 (registered command generating device).
[0095]
The information registration unit 504 (registration command generation device) generates the following GSQL expression.
“PlacesARRAY” in [GSQL expression 2-6] and [GSQL expression 2-7] is an external variable of an embedded SQL statement defined as an array variable. The image data may be encoded as described in the first embodiment, or may be registered as it is without being encoded.
[0096]
Next, information retrieval will be described in detail. When the place name where the image information to be searched is registered or the place name of the area including the place is input from the search

[0097]
Subsequent operations are substantially the same as those in the first embodiment, and thus description thereof will not be repeated.
[0098]
In the second embodiment, in addition to the effects of the first embodiment, the configuration of the information database is the same as the previous "method for registering information by assigning keywords", so the previous information database can be used as it is. There is an effect. In addition, the information registered in this embodiment has an advantage that it can be searched using a conventional application of searching for information by specifying a keyword.
[0099]
Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described. In this embodiment, a user who uses a mobile information processing apparatus records image information, stores it in a database of a remote information processing apparatus, and later stores it using a mobile information processing apparatus or another information processing apparatus.
