Description
本明細書で使用される場合、任意のポリマーの「ガラス転移温度」またはTgは、FoxによるBull.Amer.Physics.Soc.、1、3、123ページ(1956)に記載されるように計算することができる。Tgは、示差走査熱分析を使用して実験的に測定することもできる(加熱速度20℃/分、変曲の中点がTgとされる)。他に明記しない限りは、本明細書で使用される場合に言及されるTgは計算によるTgを意味する。
耐熱衝撃性を、Ford laboratory test method BI 107−05に従って評価した。これはプラスチックまたはTPO基体におけるコーティングの付着力低下に対する抵抗性を決定するもので、38±2℃の水に4時間浸漬し、続いてコーティングに「X」型を切り込み、−29±2℃で少なくとも3時間凍結し、次いで30秒間湿り蒸気を噴射した。試験の得点は以下の通りである。
評価20はコーティングが全く除去されないことを意味し、
評価19は≦0.5cm2のコーティングが除去されることを意味し、
評価18は≦1.0cm2のコーティングが除去されることを意味し、
評価17は≦1.5cm2のコーティングが除去されることを意味し、
評価16は≦2.0cm2のコーティングが除去されることを意味する。19未満の評価はすべて不合格である。19または20の評価が合格である。
Claims (9)
- 水性分散体コーティング組成物であって、
コーティングバインダー、フィルム形成剤、接着剤、または成型用樹脂として有用な1以上の水分散性ポリマーの水性分散体もしくはエマルジョン;
塩素化ポリオレフィン(CPO)である水不溶性付着促進性ポリマー並びに少なくとも部分的に剥離した層状シリケートの水性ナノコンポジット分散体であって、層状シリケートと、塩素化ポリオレフィン(CPO)である水不溶性付着促進性ポリマーとを水中で混合して、前記層状シリケートを少なくとも部分的に剥離させること、および混合物を高剪断にかけて水性ナノコンポジット分散体を形成することより形成される該水性ナノコンポジット分散体;および
前記組成物から製造されるもしくは前記組成物を含むコーティングの耐熱衝撃性を改善するフィラー、
をそれぞれ1以上含む組成物。 - 前記層状シリケートが、未処理のスメクタイト、フィロシリケート、モンモリロナイト、サポナイト、バイデライト、モントロナイト、ヘクトライト、スチーブンサイト、バーミキュライト、カオリナイトおよびハロサイト、その他の未処理のフィロシリケート、それらの混合物、ならびにそれらの部分的および完全に疎水性に改質した形態から選択される請求項1記載の組成物。
- 前記フィラーが、霞石閃長岩、ヒドロタルサイト、マイカ、ウォラストナイト、タルク、メタケイ酸カルシウム、ケイ酸マグネシウム、焼結ガラス、セラミックおよび金属酸化物混合物、焼成ガラス、セラミックおよび金属酸化物混合物、層状シリケート以外のクレー、ならびにそれらの混合物から選択される請求項1記載の組成物。
- 前記フィラーが0.5〜60phrの量で存在する請求項3記載の組成物。
- 前記少なくとも部分的に剥離した層状シリケートが2〜10phrの量で存在する請求項3記載の組成物。
- 自動車用プラスチック、熱可塑性ポリオレフィン、または樹脂基体上に使用するためのコーティングまたはフィルム形成性組成物であり、前記フィラーおよび前記ナノ分散したナノクレー粒子のそれぞれの1以上の組み合わせおよび使用量は、Ford laboratory test method BI 107−05に準拠して、熱可塑性ポリオレフィン上にコーティングして、165°F(73.89℃)で15分間ベークした場合に19以上の耐熱衝撃性を示すコーティング組成物を得るために効果的である請求項1記載の組成物。
- 請求項1に記載される水性分散体コーティング組成物を製造する方法であって、
コーティングバインダー、フィルム形成剤、接着剤、または成型用樹脂として有用な1以上の水分散性ポリマーの水性分散体もしくはエマルジョン;
塩素化ポリオレフィン(CPO)である水不溶性付着促進性ポリマー並びに少なくとも部分的に剥離した層状シリケートの水性ナノコンポジット分散体であって、未改質の層状シリケートと、塩素化ポリオレフィン(CPO)である水不溶性付着促進性ポリマーとを水中で混合して、前記層状シリケートを少なくとも部分的に剥離させること、および混合物を高剪断にかけて水性ナノコンポジット分散体を形成することにより形成される該水性ナノコンポジット分散体;および
前記組成物から製造されるもしくは前記組成物を含むコーティングの耐熱衝撃性を改善するフィラー、
の、それぞれ1以上を混合するステップを含む方法。 - 1以上の前記水性ナノコンポジット分散体と、コーティングバインダー、フィルム形成剤、接着剤、または成型用樹脂として有用な1以上の水分散性ポリマーの1以上の前記水性分散体とを混合し、その後、該混合物に1以上の前記フィラーを混合する、請求項7記載の方法。
- 請求項5記載の組成物から製造された1以上のコーティングを含む、コーティングされた自動車用プラスチック。
