建物内に設ける延焼防止用の防火区画は防火シャッターにより形成されることが一般的であるが、近年、ドレンチャー設備による水幕(ウォーターカーテン)により防火区画を形成するという水幕防火設備が提案され、優れた遮炎効果が期待できることはもとより、防火シャッターによる場合に比較すれば障害物による閉鎖障害が生じないし、避難や消火活動に支障を来すこともないので、極めて有効と考えられ、今後広く普及する気運にある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
特許文献1に示される水幕防火設備としてのドレンチャー設備は、二重の水幕を形成するものではあるが、その二重の水幕を近接配置した2つのドレンチャーヘッドからの放水により形成するか、あるいは単一のドレンチャーヘッドからの水流を二分することで形成するもので、二重の水幕をわずかな間隔をおいて形成するものに過ぎない。そのため、二重の水幕を形成するために所要放水量が倍増するにも拘わらず、実質的に水幕の厚さがやや厚くなった程度の効果しか得られず、防火性能が大きく向上しないとも考えられる。

そして、いずれにしてもこの種の水幕防火設備を真に有効なものとするためには、防火設備としてのさらなる安全性と信頼性を高める必要があるとされ、それを可能とするより有効な水幕防火設備の開発が進められているのが実情である。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記事情に鑑み、本発明は、ドレンチャーヘッドから水が幕状に放出されることで形成される水幕による水幕防火設備であって、ドレンチャーヘッドを間隔をおいて二列をなすように配置し、火災時にはそれら二列のドレンチャーヘッドにより二重の水幕を形成してそれら二重の水幕の間に緩衝空間を確保するとともに、その緩衝空間の床面全面にドレンチャーヘッドからの放出水を集水して貯留するピット状の集水部を前記二重の水幕間を連結するように設けることにより、それら二重の水幕と前記ドレンチャーヘッドから放出されて前記集水部に貯留される貯留水により三方が囲まれてなる前記緩衝空間を形成可能としたことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1は本発明の水幕防火設備を建物の任意の階に設けた場合の一実施形態を示すものである。これは、天井部に間隔をおいて2枚の防火垂れ壁1を設け、それら防火垂れ壁1の下部にそれぞれドレンチャーヘッド2を取り付け、火災時にはそれらドレンチャーヘッド2から幕状に放水することで二重の水幕3A,3Bを形成するようにしたものであり、したがって火災時にはそれら二重の水幕3A,3Bの間に、前後がそれら水幕3A,3Bに覆われることで実質的に周囲より区画された閉鎖状態の緩衝空間4が形成されるようになっている。

そして、その緩衝空間4の床面全面は周囲の床面よりも僅かに低く形成されることで、そこには浅いピット状の集水部5が二重の水幕3A、3B間を連結するように設けられており、水幕3A,3Bを形成するために放水された水の一部がその集水部5に貯留されるようになっている。

また、本実施形態の水幕防火設備は、緩衝空間4を設けるようにドレンチャーヘッド2を二列に配列し、かつ二重の水幕3A、3B間を連結するように緩衝空間4の床面全面に浅いピット状の集水部5を設けること以外は、基本的に従来のこの種の水幕防火設備やドレンチャー設備と同様の構成のものとできるから、それに比較して何等複雑な機構や制御を必要とするものではないし、さしてコスト増になるものでもない。
