本発明は、綴じ足の有効引き出し長さを適切に使用できる状態で可変にした綴じ具、この綴じ具を用いたファイル及び当該綴じ足に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
ファイル等に用いられる綴じ具の種類の一つとして、綴じ足を利用したものがある。この種の綴じ具は、紙葉類の綴じ元側の縁部に沿って配置される基板部と、基端側が基板部に固定されるとともに先端側が当該基板部に設けた開口を介して引き出される複数の綴じ足と、前記基板部との間に紙葉類を挟み込むとともにその一部に前記綴じ足の先端側を挿し通して折り曲げることにより綴じ足を係止する綴じ足係止部とを具備している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、従来の綴じ具は、開口より引き出される綴じ足の先端側の有効引き出し量が常に一定であるため、挟み込む紙葉類が少ないときには綴じ足を折り曲げて係止したときの余長分が多く、挟み込む紙葉類が増えるにつれてその余長分が減る。したがって、比較的多くの紙葉類を挟み込めるように綴じ足を十分に長くしておくと、挟み込む紙葉類が少ないときに綴じ足が邪魔になるという不具合がある。例えば、固定した際の綴じ足が前記縁部に直交する向きとなる仕様のものでは綴じた状態の綴じ足が書類等を見開き状態にする際の邪魔になるし、固定した際の綴じ足が前記縁部に沿う向きとなる仕様のものでは挟み込む紙葉類の量によっては紙葉類から綴じ足がはみ出して著しく見栄えが悪くなり、収納等の妨げともなる。

このような不具合を解消するために、例えば2本の綴じ足の基端同士を連結しておき、挟み込む紙葉類の量が少ないうちは連結状態のままで綴じ足の開口からの有効引き出し量を少なくした状態で使用するが、挟み込む紙葉類の量が増えた段階で綴じ足の基端側の連結部を切断し、切断の結果分離した2本の綴じ足の基端部をそれぞれ前記開口に引っ掛けて、開口より引き出される綴じ足の有効引き出し量が多くなるように変更できるようにした構成も考えられている。

しかしながら、このようにすると、有効引き出し量が短い状態にあるときに、開口から引き出された綴じ足は上から押さられることによって開口内に没入可能な状態となるため、紙葉類を挿し通す際に不安定であり、たとえ紙葉類を適正に挿し通せたとしても、綴じ足係止部を作動させる段になって綴じ足の一部が開口内に入り込んだまま係止されると紙葉類が緩んだ状態のまま綴じられ、弛みの原因になるといった作動不良も起こり易いものになる。

本発明は、このような課題に着目してなされたものであって、紙葉類の綴じ込み量に応じて綴じ足の余長を適正に調整することができ、同時に取扱いにも不便を生じないようにした新規有用な綴じ具、ファイル及び綴じ足を提供しようとするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、かかる目的を達成するために、次のような構成を採用したものである。

すなわち、本発明の綴じ具は、紙葉類の綴じ元側の縁部に沿って配置される基板部と、基端側が基板部に支持されるとともに先端側が当該基板部に設けた開口を介して引き出される複数の綴じ足と、前記基板部との間に紙葉類を挟み込むとともにその一部に前記綴じ足の先端側を挿し通して折り曲げることにより綴じ足を係止する綴じ足係止部とを具備し、開口より引き出される綴じ足の先端側の有効引き出し量を少なくとも短い状態から長い状態に変更可能とした構造を前提とするものである。そして、その綴じ足の一部に、有効引き出し量が短い状態にあるときに基板部の開口の引き出し端側の開口縁に引っ掛かる係合部を設けたことを特徴とする。

このようなものであると、有効引き出し量が短い状態にあるときに、開口から引き出された綴じ足が不慮に上から押さられても、開口内に没入する動作が係合部の存在によって規制されることになる。このため、紙葉類を挿し通す際に綴じ足の安定した引き出し状態が確保され、綴じ足係止部を作動させる段階においても綴じ足の引き出し不良のために紙葉類が緩んだ状態のまま綴じられるといった作動不良を有効に防止することができる。

本発明の実効を担保するためには、綴じ足の基端部が、有効引出し量を短くした状態で基板部に取り付け可能かつその取付状態を当該じ足に紙葉類を挿し通した状態のままで解除可能とされているものが挙げられる。

特に、基板部に取付孔を複数設けるとともに、前記綴じ足に、基端部を一の取付孔に抜出可能に係り合わせ先端側を他の取付孔に挿し通した第1の取付状態と、基端部を前記一の取付孔から抜出させて他の取付孔に抜出し得ないように係り合わせた第2の取付状態とを選択可能にとり得るように構成しているもの、すなわち、引き出し量を反復して切替えられるようにしているものに適用して、前記第1の取付状態において、綴じ足の前記他の取付孔若しくはその近傍に位置する部位に係合部を設けているものが好ましい。

綴じ足が、その本体の横断面形状を長手方向に沿って略一定とするものであり、係合部を、その本体の一部を括れさせることによって形成しておくようにした場合には、上記以外の作用として、このような構造を備えないものに比べて括れ部分が折り曲げ易くなる結果、綴じ足の開口内における収まりが良好になり、引き出し部分を適正に起立させることができる作用、或いは、いまだ引き出されずに待機している綴じ足の待機部分が膨らんで弛み、不安定な取付状態の原因になったり、綴じ込みに必要な長さの一部がとられてしまうといった不都合の原因となることも有効に防止することができる。また、折り曲げ機能が損なわれなければ、括れ部分の断面は従来通りの太さとし、それ以外の部分を従来に比して太いものにすることもできるため、綴じ足の脆弱さを補う目的でこの構造を利用することにおいても有効なものとなる。

或いは、綴じ足が、その本体の横断面形状を長手方向に沿って略一定とするものであり、係合部を、その本体の一部を拡開させることによって形成しておくことも有効である。このような拡開部分を設けても、通常断面部分との境界部分が折れ曲がり易くなり、かつ拡開部分の強度が増すので、括れを設ける場合に準じた作用効果が奏されることとなる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の一実施形態について、図面を参照して説明する。

本実施形態に係る綴じ具1を用いたファイルFは、図1及び図2に示すように、表表紙2と、表表紙2の一端を折り込んで設けた細長い板状をなす押さえ板部3と、この押さえ板部3からさらに表表紙2と反対側に折り込んで設けた背表紙4と、表表紙2とは分離した裏表紙5と、裏表紙5の一端を折り込んで設けた細長い板状をなす基板部6と、基端部72を基板部6に取り付けてその先端部に紙葉類Pを挿し通すようにした1対の綴じ足7と、前記基板部6の長手方向に沿って延び前記綴じ足7をその一部に挿し通して折り曲げることにより係止するように構成した綴じ足係止部8とを具備する。なお、図1及び図2において、紙葉類Pは想像線で示してある。

表表紙2と、押さえ板部3と、背表紙4とは、1枚の紙S1を折り込んで形成してあり、折り込み部分を押さえ板部3とし、この押さえ板部3を挟んで表表紙2と背表紙4とを隣接配置している。一方、裏表紙5と基板部6とは、1枚の紙S2の端部を折り込んで形成してあり、折り込み部分を基板部6としている。さらに、裏表紙5を構成する部分を綴じ元側に開口する袋体状のものにし、前記背表紙4を挿入可能な背表紙挿入部5aを形成している。すなわち、基板部6と押さえ板部3との間に形成される綴じ込み領域の幅を変更可能として、紙葉類Pを必要に応じて大量に収納できるようにしたものである。

勿論、このようにするためには、表表紙2を構成する部分に袋状の背表紙挿入部を形成し、裏表紙5側に背表紙4を形成して、この背表紙4を前記背表紙挿入部に挿入するように構成することも可能である。

綴じ足7は、図3に示すように、綴じ込みに必要な所要長さを有した綴じ足本体71と、この綴じ足本体71の基端側に設けた基端部72と、これらじ足本体71と基端部72との間を連結する樹脂ヒンジ部73とからなる略T字状のものである。綴じ足本体71は、基本的にほぼ全域に亘って矩形に近い等断面形状をなし、一側面の一部に所定ピッチで溝71aを設け、他側面を緩やかに凹ませている。綴じ足本体71の一部、具体的には前記樹脂ヒンジ部73から所定距離(この距離は後述する内取付孔6aと外取付孔6bとの離間距離にほぼ対応している)だけ先端側へ変位した位置は、折り曲げて後記の取付孔6aから引き出す際のその折り曲げ位置に設定され、この位置近傍における綴じ足本体71の折り曲げ側に位置する面及びその背面の一部を「く」字状に肉盗みして括れ部分71b、71cを形成している。この実施形態において、折り曲げの際に内側に位置する一側面側の括れ部71bは、外側に位置する他側面側の括れ部71cよりも括れの幅や深さを小さく設定している。基端部72は、綴じ足本体71と直交する方向に延びる板状のもので、樹脂ヒンジ部73を介して綴じ足本体71に対し図3中矢印a、bの方向に首振り動作可能であり、T字状から、綴じ足本体71と略平行をなして綴じ足本体71の一側面、他側面いずれにも重合するように姿勢変更可能とされている。矢印a方向に首振り動作させて一側面と重合させるのはこの綴じ足7を実際に表紙体に取り付けて使用するとき(図6の状態)であり、他側面と重合するのはこの綴じ足7を外取付孔6bに挿し通すとき(図8の想像線で示す状態に引き続き行われる操作時)である。重合部分は、綴じ足本体71、基端部72ともに他の部位に比して薄肉にしてあり、これらが重合することによって全体として綴じ足本体71の等断面部分と同じ断面をなすものである。換言すれば、この基端部72は綴じ足本体71の一部を切り起こすことによって形成することが可能なものである。

これに対して、図1に示す基板部6には、前記綴じ足7を挿し通し、また係止する役割を果たす取付孔6a、6bを複数対(ここでは2対)設けている。そして、この2対の取付孔6a、6bのうち、内側に位置する1対の内取付孔6aが綴じ足7を綴じ込み領域側に引き出すための本発明の開口に相当し、この内取付孔6aから綴じ足本体71を綴じ込み領域に向けて、すなわち表表紙2に向けて挿し通すようにしている。この内取付孔6aは、図6及び図8に示すように、綴じ足本体71のみを挿し通し、基端部72を挿し通さない幅及び高さ寸法を有する矩形状に形成されており、特に綴じ足本体71の括れ部71b、71c以外の等断面部分は比較的緊密に内取付孔6aの内周を通過し、括れ部71b、71cはある程度の遊びをもってこの内取付孔6aを通過するように設定されている。一方、外側に位置する外取付孔6bは、矩形状をなし、縁部と直交する辺は綴じ足本体71及び基端部を通過させ、縁部に平行な辺は綴じ足7の基端部72の長さよりも短く、かつこの基端部72を綴じ足本体71の他側面(図3中矢印b方向)に重合させた状態で斜め方向から通過させ得るような寸法関係に設定されている。

すなわち、綴じ足7を紙葉類の綴じ元側の縁部PSに沿って外取付孔6bに挿し通すと、その基端部72が外取付孔6bに係止される。そして、綴じ足本体71の先端側をその外取付孔6bから離間した位置にある内取付孔6aに挿し通して再び表表紙2側に引き出すことによって、基板部6と押さえ板部3との間に形成される綴じ込み領域においてこの綴じ足7に紙葉類を挿し通すことができるようにしている。この綴じ足7の取付状態を、以降第1の取付状態と称することとする。この第1の取付状態において、前記括れ部71b、71cは、図6、図8に示すように内取付孔6a内もしくはその近傍に位置するように設定してあり、その括れ部71b、71cの肉厚になろうとする傾斜した部位(特に71c側)が本発明の係合部74として機能し、その係合部74が内取付孔6aから引き出された部位において当該内取付孔6aの開口縁に引っ掛かるようにしている。

そして、この状態から、綴じ足本体71の引き出している部分に操作力を加えて反綴じ込み領域側(図6中矢印X側)に若干押し込み、いまだ引き出されていない待機部分71xにある程度遊びのある状態にした後、基端部72を矢印b方向に首振り動作させて綴じ足本体71の他側面に重合させ、その状態で斜め方向に外取付孔6bを通過させて、先端側を綴じ込み領域側に向かって矢印Xとは反対側に引き出すことによって、綴じ足7を基板部6から完全に引き抜くことなく基端部72の係合先を図9に示すように内取付孔6aに変更し、その結果、待機部分71xを繰り出して有効引出し量を大きくとることができるようにしている。この綴じ足7の取付状態を、以降第2の取付状態と称することとする。

一方、押さえ板部3には、図2に示すように、前記内取付孔6aと重合する位置に綴じ足7を挿し通す1対の上挿通孔3aを設けている。そして、この押さえ板部3には、止め具31及び止め具取付孔3bを介して前記綴じ足係止部8を取り付けている。

この実施形態における綴じ足係止部8は、図4及び図5に示すように、1対のスライダ81を互いに抱き合わせるように係り合わせて構成されるものである。このスライダ81には、綴じ足7を挿し通すための綴じ足挿通孔81aと、前記止め具31とスライド可能かつ脱落し得ないように掛かり合わせる長孔81bと、開放つまみ811と、閉止つまみ812とをそれぞれ1つずつ設けている。より具体的には、それぞれのスライダ81の一端部には、開放つまみ811が設けてあり、他端部はベース部813を形成している。前記開放つまみ811の下端部の両端に爪を設け、この爪で他方のスライダ81のベース部813と抱き合わせるように係り合わせている。そして、両開放つまみ811を相寄る方向に引き寄せることによって両スライダ81を綴じ足を開放し得る図4の位置(すなわちじ足挿通孔81aを開放する位置)へ相対移動させるようにしている。また、前記ベース部813からは、幅方向の片側半分だけを開放つまみ811に向けて延ばして案内部814を形成している。そして1対のスライダ81の案内部814の内面同士が向かい合うようにしてある。一方、この案内部814の略中央部には閉止つまみ812が形成してある。この閉止つまみ812は他方のスライダ81をまたぐ形状をなし、両閉止つまみ812を相寄る方向に引き寄せることによって開放つまみ811が前記綴じ足挿通孔81aと重合してこれを閉止する図5の位置に移動して、綴じ足7を開放つまみ811と綴じ足挿通孔81aとの間で折り曲げて係止する図1に示す係止位置Sに係止されるようにしている。ベース部813には、縁部に沿って折り曲げた綴じ足7を収納する溝813aが設けてある。

このファイルFは以下のようにして使用する。

まず、図1及び図2に示すように、紙葉類Pの量が少ないときは綴じ足7の基端部72を外取付孔6bに係り合わせた状態にして綴じ足7の有効長さを短くしておく。次いで、紙葉類Pの2穴パンチ等による挿通孔PHに綴じ足本体71を挿し通す。紙葉類Pの量が多くなったときには、綴じ足7の基端部72と外取付孔6bとの係り合わせを解除して綴じ足本体71を引き出し、前記基端部72を内取付孔6aに係り合わせた状態にして綴じ足7の有効長さを長くする。その後、綴じ足係止部8の綴じ足挿通孔81aに綴じ足本体71を挿し通し、両閉止つまみ812を相寄る方向に引き寄せて綴じ足7を係止位置Sに係止する。綴じ足7を係止した状態の平面図を図7に示す。また、紙葉類Pを取り出す際には、綴じ足係止部8の両開放つまみ811を相寄る方向に引き寄せて綴じ足7の係止を解除する。そして、紙葉類Pの量が再び少なくなったときには、綴じ足本体71を引き込んで再び綴じ足7の基端部72を外取付孔6bに係り合わせた状態にして綴じ足7の有効長さを元の短い状態に戻す。

このようにして、本実施形態は、綴じ足7の基端部72の取付位置を前記内取付孔6aと前記外取付孔6bとの間で選択的に変更して前記内取付孔6aと前記外取付孔6bとの間の距離分(待機領域71の分)だけ綴じ足7の有効長さを延長したり、元の長さに短縮したりすることを、綴じ足7を引き抜くことなく簡単に行えるようにするものである。

そして、このような構成を採用するにあたり、本実施形態は、綴じ足7の一部に、有効引き出し量が短い状態にあるときに基板部6の開口たる内取付孔6aの引き出し端側の開口縁に引っ掛かる図8に示した係合部74を設けているため、有効引き出し量が短い状態にあるときに、内取付孔6aから引き出された綴じ足7が同図中矢印Zで示すように不慮に上から押さられても、綴じ足本体71が内取付孔6a内に没入する動作が係合部74の存在によって規制され、容易には同図中想像線で示すように内取付孔6a内に没入することが阻止される。このため、紙葉類Pを挿し通す際に綴じ足7の閉じ込み領域側への安定した引き出し状態を維持しておくことができ、綴じ足係止部8を作動させる段になって綴じ足7の引き出し不良のために紙葉類Pが上記想像線で示すような緩んだ状態のままで綴じ込まれるといった作動不良も有効に防止することができる。

特に、本実施形態の綴じ足7は、その基端部72が、有効引出し量を短くした状態で基板部6に取り付け可能かつその取付状態を当該綴じ足7に紙葉類Pを挿し通した状態のままで解除可能とされているため、綴じ足7を内取付孔6aから完全に抜き取ることを極力回避して、操作を簡素にし、かつ綴じ足7が内取付孔6aの開口縁と擦れあることにより発生する当該開口縁のへたりを有効に防止して係合部74の機能を担保することができる。

とりわけ、この実施形態は、基板部6に取付孔6a、6bを複数設けるとともに、前記綴じ足7に、基端部72を外取付孔6bに抜出可能に係り合わせ先端側を内取付孔6aに挿し通した第1の取付状態と、基端部72を外取付孔6bから抜出させて内取付孔6aに抜出し得ないように係り合わせた第2の取付状態とを選択可能にとり得るように構成して、前記第1の取付状態において、綴じ足7の前記内取付孔6a若しくはその近傍に位置する部位に係合部74を設けたものであり、引き出し量を反復して切替えられるようにしたものである。このため、綴じ足7の有効引き出し量を短くして使用する機会が多い本実施形態のファイルにおいて、本発明の効果は初期使用時に限らず持続的に発揮されるものとなる。

加えて、本実施形態は、その本体71の横断面形状を長手方向に沿って略一定とする綴じ足本体71に対して、係合部74を、その本体71の一部に括れ部71b、71cを設けることによって形成するようにしているため、このような括れ構造を備えないものに比べて、この括れ部6a、6bにおいて綴じ足本体71が折り曲げ易くなる結果、綴じ足7の内取付孔6a内における収まりを良好にして引き出し部分を基板部6から適正に起立させることができる作用効果や、いまだ引き出されずに待機している綴じ足7の待機部分71xが弛んで綴じ込み不良の原因になったり、あるいは綴じ込みに必要な長さの一部がとられてしまうといった不都合も有効に解消することができる。また、折り曲げ機能が損なわれなければ、括れ部6a、6bの断面を従来通りの太さとし、それ以外の部分を従来に比して太いものにすることもできるため、綴じ足7の脆弱さを補う必要がある場合にこの構造を有効利用することもできる。

本発明は、以上説明した構成であるから、紙葉類の綴じ込み量に応じて綴じ足の余長を適正に調整することができ、同時に取扱いにも不便を生じないようにした新規有用な綴じ具、ファイル及び綴じ足を提供することが可能となる。
