【0001】
(出力信号)=1×A(t)+0×B(t)=A(t)
となる。
【0025】
後者はFDD(Frequency Division Duplex)、TDD(Time Division Duplex)を問わず適用することができるが、複雑な処理が必要となる。
【0041】
アンテナで受信された受信信号RX1(t),RX2(t),RX3(t),RX4(t)は、以下の式で表される。
V(2)(i)=[h1´(2)(i)、h2´(2)(i)、h3´(2)(i)、h4´(2)(i)]とする。
【0064】
このとき、W(1)(i)TV(2)(i)=0となるように、W(1)(i)を決定する。
c1) W(1)(i)TV(1)(i)=g(一定値)

rxd=[E[Rx1(t)d(t)*],・・・,E[RX4(t)d(t)*]]T
〜[h11、h21、h31、h41]
RXi´(t)=RXi(t)―h´i1(t)・Srx1(t)
h´i1(k+1)=h´i1(k)
+μ{RXi(k)―h´i1(k)・Srx1(k)}・Srx1*(k)
Rxi´(t)=RXi(t)―H´i T(t)SRX(t)
RXi´(t)=RXi(t)―H´iT(t)SRX(t)
H´i(k+1)=H´i(k)+μSRX*(k)RXi´(k)

SD(t)=Σ{WiXi(t)−WiXi(t−Δt)}
SA(t)=Σ{WiYi(t)−WiYi(t−Δt)}
である。
【0138】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a configuration of a radio apparatus capable of changing antenna directivity in real time, and more particularly to a configuration of a radio apparatus used in an adaptive array radio base station.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, various transmission channel allocation methods have been proposed in mobile communication systems in order to effectively use frequencies, and some of them have already been put into practical use.
[0003]
FIG. 3 is a layout diagram of channels in various communication systems of frequency division multiple access (FDMA), time division multiple access (TDMA), and PDMA.
[0004]
First, FDMA, TDMA, and PDMA will be briefly described with reference to FIG. FIG. 3A is a diagram showing FDMA, in which analog signals of
[0005]
In the TDMA shown in FIG. 3 (b), the digitized signal of each user is transmitted with radio waves having different frequencies f1 to f4 and time-divided at fixed time intervals (time slots). The signal is separated by the frequency filter and time synchronization between the base station and each user mobile terminal device.
[0006]
On the other hand, recently, a PDMA system has been proposed in order to increase the frequency use efficiency of radio waves due to the spread of mobile phones. In this PDMA system, as shown in FIG. 3C, one time slot at the same frequency is spatially divided to transmit data of a plurality of users. In this PDMA, each user's signal is separated using a frequency filter, time synchronization between the base station and each user mobile terminal device, and a mutual interference canceller such as an adaptive array.

<1. User identification, training signal>
The identification of the users A and B is performed as follows. FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram showing a frame structure of a radio signal of a mobile phone. A radio signal of a cellular phone is roughly divided into a preamble made up of a signal sequence known to the radio base station and data (such as voice) made up of a signal sequence unknown to the radio base station.
[0026]
The preamble signal sequence includes a signal sequence of information for identifying whether or not the user is a desired user to be talked to the radio base station. The weight vector control unit 11 (FIG. 5) of the adaptive array

[0030]
As described above, the PDMA scheme requires a technique for removing co-channel interference. In this respect, an adaptive array that adaptively directs nulls to the interference wave is an effective means because it can effectively suppress the interference wave even when the level of the interference wave is higher than the level of the desired wave.
[0031]
By the way, when an adaptive array is used for a base station, it is possible not only to eliminate interference during reception but also to reduce unnecessary radiation during transmission. At this time, as an array pattern at the time of transmission, a method of generating an array pattern at the time of reception or newly generating from the result of arrival direction estimation or the like can be considered. The latter can be applied regardless of FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) or TDD (Time Division Duplex), but complicated processing is required. On the other hand, when the former is used in FDD, the array pattern for transmission and reception is different, and correction of the array arrangement, weight, etc. is required. For this reason, in general, application in TDD is premised, and good characteristics are obtained in an environment where external slots are continuous.
[0032]
As described above, in the TDD / PDMA system using an adaptive array for a base station, when an array pattern (weight vector pattern) obtained on the uplink is used on the downlink, a dynamic with a wide angle is used. Assuming Rayleigh propagation, the error rate may deteriorate in the downlink due to the time difference between the uplink and downlink. In other words, there is a time interval from when a radio wave is transmitted from the user terminal to the base station on the uplink (uplink) to when the radio wave is emitted from the base station to the user terminal via the downlink (downlink). When the moving speed of the terminal cannot be ignored, the error rate deteriorates due to an error between the radio wave emission direction from the base station and the actual user terminal direction.
[0033]
[0034]
However, when the time change of the weight is actually observed, there is a problem that the error is large in the conventional method of weight vector extrapolation because it is not linear.
[0035]
Therefore, in order to solve such a problem, it is noted that the weight of the adaptive array can be uniquely expressed by the response vector in each antenna element, and the weight is estimated indirectly by estimating the time variation of the response vector. Thus, when a dynamic Rayleigh propagation path such as an angular spread is assumed, there is already a technology that can suppress deterioration of the error rate in the downlink generated by the time difference between the uplink and downlink even in the TDD / PDMA scheme. Proposed.

<3. Operating principle of adaptive array>
The operation of the receiving unit SR1 will be briefly described as follows.
[0041]
Received signal RX received by antenna1(T), RX2(T), RX3(T), RX4(T) is represented by the following equation.
[Equation 9]
Where signal RXj(T) indicates the received signal of the j-th (j = 1, 2, 3, 4) antenna, and the signal Srxi(T) indicates a signal transmitted by the i-th (i = 1, 2) user. The coefficient hjiDenotes the complex coefficient of the signal from the i th user received by the j th antenna, nj(T) indicates noise included in the j-th received signal.
[0042]
Expressions (1) to (4) are expressed in vector format as follows.
[Expression 10]
Where X (t) is the input signal vector, HiRepresents the reception coefficient vector of the i-th user, and N (t) represents the noise vector. [...] T indicates transposition of [...].
[0043]
As shown in FIG. 8, the adaptive array antenna has received signals SR obtained by combining signals input from the respective antennas by weighting factors wrx1i to wrx4i.xOutput as (t).
[0044]
With the above preparation, for example, the signal Srx transmitted by the first user1The operation of the adaptive array when extracting (t) is as follows.
[0045]
The output signal y1 (t) of the adaptive array 100 can be expressed by the following equation by multiplying the input signal vector X (t) and the vector of the weight vector W1.
## EQU11 ##
That is, the weight vector W1 is the j-th input signal RX.jThis is a vector whose elements are weighting factors wrxj1 (j = 1, 2, 3, 4) multiplied by (t).
[0046]
Here, when the input signal vector X (t) expressed by the equation (5) is substituted for y1 (t) expressed by the equation (9), the result is as follows.
[Expression 12]
Here, when the adaptive array 100 operates ideally, the weight vector W is determined by a well-known method.1Are sequentially controlled by the weight
[Formula 13]
Weight vector W so as to satisfy Expression (12) and Expression (13)1Is completely controlled, the output signal y1 (t) from the adaptive array 100 is eventually expressed as:
[Expression 14]
That is, the signal Srx1 (t) transmitted by the first user of the two users is obtained as the output signal y1 (t).
[0047]

[0048]
First, reception section SR1 estimates the propagation path of the received signal based on the received signal (step S100). The estimation of the propagation path corresponds to obtaining the impulse response of the signal sent from the user in the equations (1) to (4). In other words, in the equations (1) to (4), for example, the reception coefficient vector H1Can be estimated, the transmission path at the time of signal reception from the user PS1 can be estimated.

[0052]
At this time, if the equations in which the antenna reception signals represented by the equations (1) to (4) are represented by vectors are described again, the following equations (5) to (8) are obtained.
[Expression 15]
Here, when the adaptive array is operating well, the signal from each user is separated and extracted, so that the signal Srxi(T) (i = 1, 2) are all known values.
[0053]
At this time, the signal SrxiUsing the fact that (t) is a known signal, the reception coefficient vector H1= [H11, H21, H31, H41] And H2= [H12, H22, H32, H42] Can be derived as described below. That is, the received signal and the known user signal, for example, the signal Srx from the first user1Multiplying (t) to calculate the ensemble average (time average) is as follows.
[Expression 16]
In the equation (16), E [...] represents a time average, and S*(T) represents the conjugate complex of S (t).
[0054]
When the time for taking this average is sufficiently long, the average value is as follows.
[Expression 17]
Here, the value of equation (18) becomes 0 when the signal Srx1(T) and signal Srx2This is because (t) has no correlation with each other. Further, the value of the equation (19) becomes 0 because the signal Srx1This is because there is no correlation between (t) and the noise signal N (t).
[0055]
Therefore, the ensemble average of equation (16) results in a reception coefficient vector H as shown below:1Is equal to
[Formula 18]
Through the above procedure, the reception coefficient vector H of the signal transmitted from the first user PS11Can be estimated.
[0056]
Similarly, the input signal vector X (t) and the signal Srx2By performing the ensemble averaging operation of (t), the reception coefficient vector H of the signal transmitted from the second user PS22Can be estimated.
[0057]
The ensemble averaging as described above is performed, for example, for a predetermined number of data symbol sequences at the beginning and a predetermined number of data symbol sequences at the end in one time slot at the time of reception.

As described above, training symbol sequences are provided at the beginning and end of the uplink slot, and both reception coefficient vectors are calculated using the algorithm of the reception
[0060]
Then, a downlink reception coefficient vector is estimated by linear extrapolation. That is, if the value of any one of the elements of the reception coefficient vector at time t is f (t), the value f (t0) at time t0 of the first training symbol sequence in the uplink slot and the end of the uplink slot Based on the value f (t1) at time t1 of the training symbol string, the value f (t) at time t of the downlink slot can be predicted as follows.
[Equation 19]
In the above description, the training symbol sequence is provided at the head and the tail of the uplink slot and primary extrapolation is performed. However, the training symbol sequence is also provided at the center of the uplink slot, and the reception coefficient vector The value f (t) at time t may be estimated by quadratic extrapolation from the values of three points in the uplink slot. Alternatively, higher order extrapolation can be performed by increasing the positions where the training symbol sequences are provided in the uplink slot.
[0061]
<7. Determination of transmission weight vector>
When the estimated value of the reception coefficient vector at the time of transmission is obtained as described above, the transmission weight vector can be obtained by any one of the following three methods.
[0062]
i) Method by orthogonalization:
Weight vector W of user PS1 at time t = iT (i: natural number, T: unit time interval)(1)(I) = [wtx11, Wtx12, Wtx13, Wtx14]think of. In order to direct null to the user PS2, the following conditions should be satisfied.
[0063]
The propagation path (reception coefficient vector) predicted for the user PS2 is V(2)(I) = [h1 ′(2)(I), h2 ′(2)(I), h3 ′(2)(I), h4 '(2)(I)]. Where hp '(Q)(I) is a predicted value for the time i of the reception coefficient vector for the p-th antenna of the q-th user. Similarly, for the user PS1, the propagation path V(1)Assume that (i) has been predicted.
[0064]
At this time, W(1)(I) TV(2)(I) W so that = 0(1)Determine (i). The following conditions c1) and c2) are imposed as constraint conditions.
c1) W (1) (i) TV (1) (i) = g (constant value)
c2) Minimize ‖W (1) (i) ‖.
Condition c2) corresponds to minimizing the transmission power.
[0065]
ii) Method using pseudo correlation matrix:
Here, as described above, the adaptive array includes several antenna elements and a part for controlling each element weight value. In general, when the antenna input vector is represented by X (t) and the weight vector is represented by W, the output Y (t) = WTWhen the weight vector is controlled so as to minimize the mean square difference between X (t) and the reference signal d (t) (MMSE standard: least square error method standard), the optimum weight WoptIs given by the following equation (Wiener solution). That is,
[Expression 20]
However,
[Expression 21]
It is necessary to satisfy. Where YTIs the transpose of Y, Y*Represents the complex region of Y, and E [Y] represents the ensemble average. With this weight value, the adaptive array generates an array pattern so as to suppress unnecessary interference waves.
[0066]
By the way, in the method using the pseudo correlation matrix, the above equation (21) is calculated by the pseudo correlation matrix described below. That is, the estimated complex received signal coefficient h ′(K) nUsing (i), the weight vector W for user k(K)(I) is calculated. The array response vector of the kth user is V(K)If it is set as (i), it can obtain | require as follows.
[Expression 22]
At this time, the autocorrelation matrix R of the virtual received signal at t = iTxx(I) is V(K)It is expressed by the following formula using (i).
[Expression 23]
Where N is Rxx(I) is a virtual noise term added because it becomes an integer. In this calculation, for example, N = 1.0 × 10-5It was.
[0067]
Correlation vector r between received signal and reference signalxd(I) is expressed by the following equation.
[Expression 24]
Therefore, the downlink weight at time t = iT can be obtained from the equations (21), (25), and (26). Note that the inverse matrix operation of Equation (25) can be calculated optimally for user k by the inverse matrix theorem. Particularly in the case of two users, the weight is calculated by the following simple formula.
[Expression 25]
For example,
[0068]
iii) Method of directing beam to user PS1:
Focusing only on the point of directing the beam to the user PS1,
[Equation 26]
W (1)(I)= V(1)(I)*
Should be satisfied.
[0069]
If a weight vector at the time of transmission is determined and transmitted by any of the methods described above, when a dynamic Rayleigh propagation path such as an angular spread is assumed, even in the TDD / PDMA scheme, due to the time difference between the upper and lower lines. It is possible to suppress the deterioration of the error rate in the generated downlink.

Furthermore, in FIG. 12, the time t0 is the end point of the preamble, but the time t0 is not necessarily limited to this position. The time t0 may exist in the training symbol string or may exist in the data symbol string. [Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the case of the above conventional example, there is no doubt that the estimation of the propagation path is the main factor that determines the performance of the transmission adaptive array antenna. Here, for the estimation of the propagation path, extrapolation based on the first training symbol and the last training symbol is used. Here, if the training symbol length is long and there are sufficient sample points, the noise is averaged, and estimation based on a higher-order regression curve higher than a linear function is possible. However, in general, this training symbol length is not sufficiently long. In particular, if the propagation path is estimated from the first training symbol and the last training symbol, propagation path estimation based on a regression line is common, and a signal containing noise Therefore, there is a problem that the operation for obtaining the regression line becomes complicated.
[0112]
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and pays attention to the fact that the weight of the adaptive array can be uniquely expressed by the response vector in each antenna element. When a dynamic Rayleigh propagation path such as an angular spread is assumed by indirectly estimating the weight by averaging the estimated time difference signal, the downlink generated due to the time difference between the uplink and downlink in the TDD / PDMA system An object of the present invention is to provide a radio apparatus capable of suppressing deterioration of the error rate in the network.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In the description of the prior art, <5. As shown in the operation of the reception
[0127]
In order to examine quantitatively, as an example, in the PHS system, it is assumed that the transmission / reception time interval is 2.5 msec, the transmission / reception frequency is 2 GHz, and the maximum distance between the first training symbol and the second training symbol is 0.625 msec. Assume that
[0128]
On the other hand, the Doppler frequency deviation amount of the multipath elementary wave becomes maximum when moving in the direction of the base station, and the Doppler frequency deviation amount at that time is 185 Hz, which is between the first training symbol and the second training symbol. There is a 41.6 ° change in phase between a maximum time difference of 0.625 msec. Furthermore, in the case of PHS, since the transmission / reception frequency difference based on the difference between the reference clock of User1 and the base station is assumed to be ± 3 ppm for each of the base station and the mobile station, when the signal from the mobile station is demodulated by the base station, The maximum amount is ± 6 ppm, the frequency difference is ± 12 kHz, and the phase change amount is ± 2700 ° between the maximum time difference of 0.625 msec between the first training symbol and the second training symbol. Considering the above points, the reception coefficient vector H1It can be seen that the difficulty in obtaining the value is that there is a problem in the received data for estimating the propagation path rather than the change in directivity accompanying the change in the propagation path.
[0129]
In general, there is AFC (automatic frequency control) as a method of canceling the frequency shift observed in these base stations, and a method of adjusting the frequency of the local frequency transmitter by estimating the carrier frequency from the received signal is generally used. It has been. However, since AFC estimates the carrier frequency from the received signal, this convergence takes time, and there is a problem that the accurate reception coefficient vector H1 cannot be estimated within the convergence time.
[0135]
FIG. 1 is a block diagram of an array
[0136]
The reception signal input from the antenna B-1 passes through the transmission / reception switch B-2 and is input to the reception signal differential B-3. Here, the delay element B-3-1 takes the difference from the signal given the unit time delay and outputs the difference. This output signal is weighted with respect to each signal from each antenna by the reception weighter B-4, added by the adder B-5, and output as a reception signal. Here, the output of the adder B-5 and the preceding signal of each antenna reception weighting unit B-4 are taken into the reception adaptive processing unit, and the reception output signal and the reference signal are received by the reference signal differentiator B-6. By comparing the differentiated signal of the desired signal included in the received signal with the differentiated signal of the reference signal, for example, by comparing with the differentiated signal, B appropriately weights the signals from the plurality of antennas. -4 is combined so that the differential signal of the desired signal is added and superimposed, and the interference signal is combined so that the sum of the differential signals becomes zero, thereby receiving the received signal. The differential signal of the desired signal contained in the signal is added and mixed to perform an adaptive process for removing the interference signal or noise.
[0137]
More specifically, the time difference for obtaining the differential signal is Δt, the desired signal (complex expression) input from antenna i at time t is Xi (t), and the interference signal input from antenna i at time t (complex expression). ) Is Yi (t) and the weight value of antenna i is Wi, Wi (ie, | SD) that maximizes the amplitude of the sum SD (t) of the differentiated signals of the desired signal received by the plurality of antennas. Wi (in which (t) | becomes the maximum) and the amplitude of the sum SA (t) of the differential signals of the interference signals received by the antenna becomes the minimum (ie, | SA (t) | It is sufficient to obtain Wi) that minimizes. here,
[Expression 41]
SD (t) = Σ {WiXi (t) −WiXi (t−Δt)}
SA (t) = Σ {WiYi (t) −WiYi (t−Δt)}
It is.
[0138]
Here, when the propagation environment is time-invariant or when the rate of change of the propagation environment is sufficiently slow with respect to the differential time difference Δt, the amplitude of ΣWiXi (t) is maximum and the amplitude of ΣWiYi (t) is minimum. In addition, the amplitude of SD (t) is maximum, and the amplitude of SA (t) is minimum. Conversely, the amplitude of SD (t) is the maximum and the amplitude of SA (t) is the minimum for any Xi (t) and Yi (t). The amplitude of ΣWiXi (t) is the maximum, ΣWiYi ( Only when the amplitude of t) is minimized. For this reason, the optimum weight value Wi based on the differentiated signal matches the optimum weight value Wi based on the signal that is not differentiated.
[0139]
Due to the above characteristics, the optimum weighting value in the embodiment of FIG. 1 matches the weighting value in the configuration of FIG. A transmission / reception adaptive array antenna is realized by determining a transmission-side weighting value based on the optimized weighting value Wi and transmitting the transmission signal from each antenna after being weighted by the transmission weighter B-9. Is done. The above relationship brings about the same result in the LMS algorithm that minimizes the mean square error and the RLS algorithm that recursively uses the conventional value.
[0140]
By adopting such a configuration, the following effects can be obtained as compared with the conventional example. FIG. 2A shows a signal point on the IQ plane with a white circle when the received signal is modulated by QPSK, and shows a transition from one signal point on the I axis to the next signal point with an arrow. The transition route on the IQ plane is determined by the modulation of the minimum phase transition or the signal roll-off rate. Here, when there is no carrier frequency difference between the received signal and the reference signal, the signal point of the desired signal and the signal point of the reference signal included in the received signal match (when the amplitudes are equal), and these two signals The correlation value of becomes the maximum. On the other hand, when there is a Doppler frequency shift in the propagation path, or when there is a frequency difference of the reference clock between the base station mobile stations, as shown in FIG. 2B, the white circle signal points are hatched circles. Transition to signal point. Here, when the symbol rate is fs and the frequency difference is Δf, the amount θ of rotation of the phase point between one symbol is expressed by 2πΔf / fs radians. Here, when the first training data section is an N1 symbol and N1 · θ is a numerical value that cannot be ignored compared to 2π radians, in the conventional method, in the propagation path estimation value in the first training data section, In the method according to the present invention, the phase error with the reference signal is N1 · θ at the maximum, the cross-correlation value does not match the autocorrelation value, and the propagation path estimation value includes an error. Even if the differential time Δt is equal to the symbol time width, only a change in θ occurs, and only a phase difference of a constant value θ occurs in the first training section, and the phase error is an integer of θ as the symbol progresses. Never double. ThisHere, the differential time difference is the symbol time, but if it is less than that (for example, 1 / M), the phase error of each differential signal becomes θ / M, and the propagation path is set more accurately. It can be carried out.
[0141]
Here, as a known method for canceling the frequency error, there is a method using automatic frequency control (AFC). That is, the rotation of the signal point based on the frequency difference is examined, the frequency of the base station local oscillator is changed so that the rotation of the signal point becomes zero, and the rotation of the signal point is cancelled. However, this AFC has a problem that the convergence time of frequency difference correction is long in order to accurately determine the frequency difference, and high-precision adaptive antenna operation cannot be performed during that time. On the other hand, according to the method of the present invention, adaptive processing is possible without particularly operating the AFC, and it is possible to estimate transition of signal points accompanying data demodulation without using a signal subsequent to the adaptive array antenna circuit. This makes it possible to perform pre-processing of data demodulation, and has the advantage of enabling data demodulation after improving the signal / interference wave ratio.
[0142]
In particular, the method according to the present invention is compared with the method similar to the synchronous detection in which the reference signal is processed in synchronization with AFC., LegendWhen the carrying path is in a steady state, that is, in the case of a fixed propagation path, there is a slight deterioration as compared with the synchronous system. However, in the case of mobile communication, the method according to the present invention is effective when the propagation path changes with time and carrier synchronization is not easy.
[0143]
The reception signal differentiator B-3, the delay element B-3-1 in the reception signal differentiator B-3, the reception weighter B-4, the adder B-5, and the reference signal differentiation. The device B-6, the reception adaptive processing unit B-7, the transmission adaptive processing unit B-8, the transmission weighting unit B-9, etc. may be configured by independent elements, but are processed by software using a DSP or the like. Needless to say, the same effect can be obtained even in the case of using a general-purpose logic element such as an FPGA or the like if they function similarly. In FIG. 1, the reference signal is differentiated by the reference signal differentiator B-6 using the reference signal as an input signal, but a signal obtained by differentiating the reference signal in advance may be stored in a memory or the like. Needless to say.
[0144]
Note that the block of FIG. 1 that performs frequency conversion, which is the original purpose, such as a transmission unit and a reception unit is naturally necessary, but is not directly related to explaining the gist of the present invention, and is illustrated and described. Was omitted.
[0145]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the Doppler frequency shift in mobile communication or the operation of the adaptive array antenna associated with the frequency difference of the reference clock between the base station and the mobile station is called extrapolation using a regression line. Instead, a remarkable effect is obtained that the propagation path can be easily set in the setting circuit by an extremely simple method such as averaging. In addition, there is an advantage that an adaptive array operation can be performed in advance so that the error is small and the frequency difference is corrected by AFC.
