Description
本発明に係る無線個人領域ネットワークにおけるチャネル時間割当て方法は、基本的にIEEE802.15.3標準に基いて無線個人領域ネットワーク環境に適用されるが、必ずしもこれに限られることなく、本発明にかかる条件を満足する他の無線ネットワーク環境にも適用可能である。さらに、本発明について、一般的な無線個人領域ネットワークの構成を示す図1に基いて詳説するが、図1に示した部分と同一部分については同一符号を付して引用する。
Claims (9)
- 1つの仲裁者からブロードキャストされる同期信号により同期化される無線ネットワークにおけるチャネル時間割当て方法であって、
前記無線ネットワークにリンクされた複数のデバイスが、前記仲裁者に、伝送すべきデータの類型によって、必需的に所要される第1チャネル時間、ならびにチャネルエラーが生じた場合再伝送のために割当てられる時間およびVBRストリームの特性に基づいて割当てられる時間のいずれかである第2チャネル時間の割当てを要請するコマンドをそれぞれ伝送するステップと、
前記仲裁者が前記コマンドを参照し、前記複数のデバイスが要請した前記第1チャネル時間にそれぞれ対応するCTA(Channel Time Allocation)区間、および前記複数のデバイスがそれぞれ要請した前記第2チャネル時間に対応し、前記複数のデバイスの優先順位に応じて前記複数のデバイスが共有して使用できる、共有されたCTA区間を含むチャネル時間を割当てるステップと、
前記割当てられたチャネル時間に対する情報を前記同期信号に挿入し前記複数のデバイスにブロードキャストするステップと、
を含むことを特徴とするチャネル時間割当て方法。 - 前記同期信号に挿入された前記割当てられたチャネルに対する情報に基いて設定される区間において、前記複数のデバイス間でデータの送受信を行なうステップを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のチャネル時間割当て方法。
- 前記無線ネットワークは、WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network)であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のチャネル時間割当て方法。
- 前記伝送すべきデータの類型は、マルチメディアストリームの等時性伝送のための第1データ類型、および非同期バルクデータ伝送のための第2データ類型のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のチャネル時間割当て方法。
- 前記第2チャネル時間は、前記第1データ類型のデータにおいて、チャネルエラーが生じた場合再伝送のために割当てられる時間、およびVBRストリームの特性に基いて割当てられる時間のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のチャネル時間割当て方法。
- チャネル時間の割り当てを要請するコマンドは、前記第1チャネル時間および第2チャネル時間に対応する情報を備えるフィールドを含むチャネル時間要請コマンドであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のチャネル時間割当て方法。
- 前記割当てられたチャネル情報は、前記同期信号として使用されるビーコンフレーム内に備えられる共有のCTA IEに含まれていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のチャネル時間割当て方法。
- 前記共有のCTA IEは、前記共有されたCTAを使用するデバイスの個数、チャネル接近方法、チャネル接近のための待機時間、およびチャネルのアイドル状態を把握してからチャネルに接近するか否かを示す情報を表すフィールドのうち少なくとも1つを含むCTA IEであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のチャネル時間割当て方法。
- 前記接近方法は、設定された条件および時間を満足する場合にチャネルに接近する暗示的なチャネルセンシングによる方法、および前記共有されたCTAを使用するデバイスによりチャネル使用が終了されたことを通知された後、チャネルに接近する明示的チャネルセンシングによる方法のいずれか1つであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のチャネル時間割当て方法。
