【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は薄手の集積回路チップすなわちICチップを埋め込んだICカードの発行装置に関する。
とくに本発明は遊技場などにおける料金支払いや電車の運賃支払い或いは商品の自動販売機などに使用されるICカードの発行装置に関する。
言い換えると本発明はICカードそのものを自動販売するための機械に設置するのに好適なICカードの発行装置に関する。

本発明は具体的にはデータの無いブランクのICカードを一枚引き出して該ブランクのICカードにデータを書き込んで販売する発行装置に関する。
さらに具体的には本発明はICカードを通信手段を介在してエンコード等して販売するための発行装置に関する。
【従来の技術】
これまでカードを販売するための装置としては種々のものが開発されて来ている。たとえば本件出願人の実願昭63−60147にはカード販売機に好適なカードの送り出し装置が開示されている。

当該出願は実公平7−26276号として公告されており更に米国においては特許番号4、993、587号を獲得している。
このカード送出装置は図17に示されているように上方にカードの積層体3Mを収容するための収納室50を有している。
そして当該カード積層体3Mを下方から保持する支持板4Tならびに該支持板4Tの下方に設けられたカードの繰り出しローラ5Rとを備えている。
この繰り出しローラ5Rとカードの送出口40Aとの間にはカードの送り出しローラ7R、9Rが設けられている。

前記繰り出しローラ5Rによって前記カード積層体3Mの下から繰り出されたカードは当該送り出しローラ7R、9Rによって前記送出口40Aに送り出される。
上述の装置には更に前記送り出しローラ7Rの上方にカードの送り出し方向とは逆方向に回転される二枚出し防止用のローラ8Rが配設されている。
なお此等のローラ7R,8Rの隙間は繰り出しローラ5Rによって繰り出されたカード一枚のみを通過させるように設けられていることは勿論である。
このローラ7R,8R間にカードが詰まった場合には図示略のセンサにより検出されて前記繰り出しローラ5Rが逆回転されることになる。

繰り出しローラ5Rが逆回転されると此と連動する二枚出し防止のローラ8Rも逆回転されることになる。
しかしながらローラ8Rの機構はクラッチ構造を備えているため該ローラ8Rの逆回転開始は繰り出しローラ5Rの逆回転開始から少し遅れることになる。
したがってローラ7R,8R間に詰まったカードは送り出し方向とは逆の方向に戻されることになる。
なお図17に示される符号41ならびに符号42はそれぞれカード収納室50を構成していているサイド板である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら上述したカードの払い出し装置は積層された複数枚のカードを最も下の位置から確実に一枚一枚払い出す機能のみであった。
他方、ICチップを内蔵したICカードは超小形コンピュータとメモリとを備えているため今後ますます市場の拡大が予想されて来ている。
本発明の目的はカードを一枚のみ確実に払い出しできる装置に簡単な構成を付加してICカードをデータ処理し発行できる装置を提供することにある。

また本発明の他の目的は装置の外部から挿入されたICカードをデータ処理し再びICカードを当該装置の外に発行できる装置の提供にある。
【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、ICカードを受け入れ又は払い出しをするための開口と、前記ICカードと接続して、該ICカードをデータ処理するためのコネクタ手段と、前記開口と前記コネクタ手段との間に設けられたICカード搬送手段とを備え、前記ICカード搬送手段は、ローラと、前記ローラに対し押し付け状態で設けられ、前記ローラと協働して、前記ICカードを前記開口から前記コネクタ手段の方へ搬送すると共に前記コネクタ手段から前記開口の方へと搬送するためのアイドラを有し、前記アイドラが前記ローラの回りを回動することにより、ICカードは回収位置に運ばれるように構成されていることを特徴とするICカードの発行装置である。

また本発明は、ICカードをICカード収納室から繰り出し払い出すために、ICカードの繰り出し用ローラと、繰り出されたICカードを払い出すための払い出しローラと、前記払い出しローラの上方に回転自在に配設されたICカード押さえ用のアイドラとから構成されたICカードの払い出し手段を有することを特徴とするICカードの発行装置である。
さらに本発明は、前記ICカード払い出し手段は、前記ICカード収納室の底部又は外側に位置していることを特徴とするICカードの発行装置である。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に本発明を其の実施について添付の図面を参照しつつ説明する。まず図1は本発明による一実施例を示す概略的な斜視図である。つぎに図2は図1の一部を取り除いて示す概略的な斜視図である。さらに図3は図2の要部を取り出して示す概略的な斜視図である。ここで此等の図面に基づいて本実施例の全体を概略説明する。図1の大きなL形の一対の板は当該装置を構成するサイド板41,42である。

サイド板41,42間の右上部にはICカード32を柱状に積み上げたスタック28が収容されている。
なおICカード32には薄い集積回路チップすなわちICチップ(図示略)が適所に埋め込まれている。
そして当該ICチップ接続用のパッド33がICカード32の表面に形成されている。
本実施例の場合、パッド33の数は八個であるが六個でも其の他の個数でも良いことは勿論である。

サイド板41,42間のほぼ中央にはICカード32を払い出すためのモータ38が内蔵されている。モータ38の回動軸にはプリー14が外装されている。
図2右の符号1はローラである。ローラ1はシャフト8に回転自在に外装され且つクラッチ機構を有している。
シャフト8にはクラッチ8C(図2を参照)が取り付けられ該クラッチ8Cはシャフト8と同動する。
なおクラッチ8Cはアーム(図示略)を介在してソレノイドSL(図6を参照)によりローラ1と連結可能になっている。

またシャフト8の端部にはプリー13が外装されている。
スタック28の下からICカード32を繰り出すためのローラ1の近くに一対のローラ3が配設されている(図3を参照)。
なお繰り出されたICカード32を送るためのローラ3はシャフト26を介在して当該装置に回転自在に取り付けられている。
送りローラ3の上方にはICカード32の二枚出し防止用のローラ2がシャフト9を介在して取り付けられている。
そしてシャフト9の端部にはプリー27が外装されている。

一対の送りローラ3間にはICカード払い出し用のローラ4(図3を参照)が配設されている。
このローラ4は長手のシャフト10を介在して当該装置に配設されている。
そしてシャフト10の一端部には段付きのプリー15が外装され他端部にはやや大きなプリー16が外装されている。
ICカード払い出し用のローラ4の上方にはICカード押さえ用のアイドラ5が回転可能に配設されている。
そしてアイドラ5はシャフト35を介在して当該装置に取り付けられている。

なお駆動源であるモータ38のプリー14ならびに二段式のプリー15および逆回転用のプリー27にはベルト24が掛け渡されている。
またプリー15ならびにプリー13にもベルト18が掛け渡されている。
図3左の符号17もプリーであって該プリー17とやや大きなプリー16とにはベルト19が掛け渡されている(図9(B)を参照)。
そしてプリー17はやや長手のシャフト12の端部に外装されている。
やや長手のシャフト12の中央にはICカード32を移動するための一対のローラ6が外装されている。

また長手のシャフト12の元端部すなわちプリー17側には径の大きなハブ21が回転自在に外装されている。さらに長手のシャフト12の先端部にも径の大きなギア20が回転自在に外装されている。
なお一対になるハブ21ならびにギア20はそれぞれサイド板41,42の外側に配置されている(図1を参照)。
またハブ21とギア20との間にはシャフト11が固定されている。
そして当該シャフト11には一対のローラ6をそれぞれ押圧する一対のアイドラ7が回転自在に外装されている。

図2下方の符号39はモータである。このモータ39は例えば不良品のICカード32を当該装置の内部に回収するための駆動源になっている。
モータ39の回動軸にはピニオン25が外装され該ピニオン25は径の大きなギア20と噛み合っている。
なお図1左の符号23は、同図に示されるようにICカードが出入りするスリット状の開口40Dが形成されている横長の受け枠である。この受け枠23は例えば発行されるICカード32を当該装置の外にガイドするためのものであるとともに、外部から挿入されるICカード32を当該装置の内部へガイドするためのものともなっている。
また図2左の符号40は結合用の棒である。この棒40はハブ21とギア20との結合を補強している(図15(B)を参照)。

図2ほぼ中央のT形のものはICカード32専用のコネクタ22である。
このコネクタ22は略角リング形のハウジング22H内で図の横方向にスライド可能に収納されている(図5を参照)。
すなわち、ハウジング22Hには、図4に示すように、前記コネクタ22が収納されるコネクタ22と相似形状のT形の開口22Kが形成されている。前記コネクタ22は図4に拡大して示されるように両サイドには複数個の小さな菱形になる突起22Lを有している。
そしてコネクタ22下面の長縁22Yの中央には小さな三角柱形のフック34が形成されている。このフック34は図5に示され後記されるようにICカード32の縁を掛け止めるためのものである

なおコネクタ22の下面には複数個のコンタクト(図示略)が配設されている。図4にはハウジング22Hの一部が拡大して示されている。
この角リング形のハウジング22H内の両サイドには複数個の傾斜されたスロット22Sが形成されている。
これらのスロット22Sは菱形状の突起22Lをそれぞれスライド可能に収納している。
なお図1ほぼ中央に示される符号36はコネクタ22用の回路基板である。

図18は本実施例に使用されるブロック回路図である。図18を此処で概略説明する。図18左の符号HCはホスト機(図示略)のコントローラである。そして図18中央の符号MCは当該装置のコントローラである。なおモータ38,39はそれぞれ駆動回路MDを介在して正回転ならびに逆回転が制御される。
上述の実施例は主のコントローラHCからICカード32の払い出し信号S1があるとコントローラMCと駆動回路MDを介在してモータ38が正回転される。

モータ38が正回転されるとプリー14が回動されてベルト24が駆動される。そしてプリー15が回動され更にベルト18を介在してプリー13が回転される。シャフト8が回転され払い出し信号S2によってソレノドSLがオンされるとクラッチ8Cによってローラ1が回転されることになる(図6を参照)。
この結果、スタック28の最も下のICカード32が繰り出しローラ1のやや長い突部1Pによって送り出されることになる。
突部1Pによって送り出されたICカード32の前端は図7に示されるようにローラ2,3の間に送り込まれて通過する。

このときローラ2は逆回転するためICカード32の二枚送りが防止される。
さらに送り出されたICカード32の前端は回動するローラ4とアイドラ5とによってピックアップされコネクタ22の方向に送り出される。
なお此のときにはソレノイドSLはオフにされてクラッチ8Cが外れシャフト8は回動するもののローラ1は回転しない(図7を参照)。
かくしてローラ4とアイドラ5とによって送り出されたICカード32の前端がコネクタ22のフック34をヒットする。

このとき図4ならびに図5に示される構造から明らかなように当該コネクタ22のフック34部は少し上方に移動されることになる(図8を参照)。
したがってICカード32は其のまま進み該ICカード32の前端は回動するローラ6とアイドラ7とによってピックアップされる。
ピックアップされたICカード32はローラ6とアイドラ7とのみによって受け枠23の方向に送り出される(図9(A)ならびに(B)を参照)。
ICカード32がフック34から完全に離れ其の前端が光り反射式のセンサRSに検出されると其の信号S3を介在してモータ38が逆回転される。

モータ38の逆回転によってローラ6,アイドラ7も逆回転しICカード32はフック34方向に戻される(図10を参照)。
フック34の方向に戻されているICカード32の前端が該フック34に当たって掛かると図5に示されるようにコネクタ22が下斜め方向に移動される。
したがってICカード32のパッド33がコネクタ22のコンタクト(図示略)に接触することになる。
ほぼ同時にコネクタ22の前縁が機械式のスイッチMSをオンにする。

スイッチMSがオンになると其の信号S4が装置・コントローラMCに送出され該コントローラMCは接続信号S5をホスト・コントローラHCに送出する。
ICカード32のパッド33がコネクタ22のコンタクトに接続されたことが信号S4にて確認されるとローラ6すなわちモータ38の回転が停止される。
かくしてICカード32はコネクタ22に接続された状態で静止することになる。この静止状態で当該ICカード32内のデータ処理が行われることになる。
すなわち8ビットのバスBSを介在してホスト・コントローラHCによりICカード32内のチップ(図示略)にデータの書き込み・読み出しなどが行われる。

主コントローラHCとICカード32とのデータ通信が成功し完了すると該コントローラHCから発行信号S6が副のコントローラMCに送出される。
発行信号S6があると副コントローラMCは駆動回路MDを介在してモータ38を正回転する。
かくしてICカード32はローラ6とアイドラ7とによって受け枠23方向に送られる(図11を参照)。
なお此のときコネクタ22は略V形のスプリング22S(図5を参照)によって元の位置に戻されることになる。

図11に示されるようにICカード32が受け枠23に達し手による取り出し準備が完了する。このときセンサRSによって当該ICカード32の移動が検出され該センサRSの検出信号S3の変化が副コントロールMCに送出される。
そしてICカード32が受け枠23から手によって引き出されるとセンサRSの検出信号S3が変化し例えば副コントローラMCから完了信号S7が送出される。完了信号S7があると例えば副コントローラMCの電源PWがオフにされる。なお信号S1〜信号S7などの処理は主副のコントローラHC、MCのプログラムによって行われることは勿論である。

ホスト・コントローラHCとICカード32との通信が成功しなかった場合には例えばICカード32が回収される。
ICカード32が良品でない場合やスタック時の配置方向が適切でないとき或いはスタック時のICカード32の裏表面が逆などが考えられる。
こうした時には主コントロールHCから回収信号S8が副コントロールMCに送出される。回収信号S8があるとコントローラMCはモータ38を正回転する。かくして回収のICカード32Dは図9(A)ならびに図9(B)に示されるようにローラ6とアイドラ7とによって受け枠23方向に送られる。

回収ICカード32Dが受け枠23方向に送られ其の前端がセンサRSに検出されると其の検出信号S3を介在してモータ38が停止される(図12を参照)。ほぽ同時に装置・コントローラMCによってモータ39が駆動されピニオン25がギア20をシャフト12まわりに正回転する。
この結果、アイドラ7のシャフト11はローラ6の回りを回動することになる(図13の(A)ならびに図13(B)を参照)。
ICカード32Dはローラ6とアイドラ7とに挟まれているため水平状態から約40度の傾斜状態になる(図14の(A)ならびに図14(B)を参照)。

このときセンサ37Bがギア20のやや大きな切り欠き20Nを検出して其の検出信号S9を介在してピニオン25すなわちモータ39の回動を停止する。
ほぼ同時にモータ38が逆回転されてローラ6は逆回転され回収ICカード32Dは図の下方に回収される(図15(A)ならびに図15(B)を参照)。
そののちモータ39が逆回転されピニオン25を介在して図12に示されるようにギア20すなわちアイドラ7が元の位置に戻される。
アイドラ7が元の位置に戻されるとセンサ37Aがギア20の小さな切り欠き20Mを検出する。

センサ37Aの検出信号S10を介してピニオン25すなわちモータ39の回動が停止され元の状態に復帰される。
図16に示されるように手によってICカード32が受け枠23から当該装置内部に挿入される場合について述べる。
当該ICカード32の前端がセンサRSを通過すると検出信号S3がコントローラMCで処理され信号S11にてホスト・コントローラHCに伝えられる。
ホスト・コントローラHCからは折り返し受け入れ信号S12が装置・コントローラMCに送出される。

受け入れ信号S12があるとコントローラMCはモータ38を逆回転で駆動する。かくしてICカード32の前端が逆回転するローラ6とアイドラ7との間に達すると該ICカード32は更にコネクタ22の方向に送られる。
コネクタ22方向に送られたICカード32の前端がフック34をヒットするとコネクタ22が下斜め方向に移動される。
したがって図10に示されたのと同様にICカード32のパッド33がコネクタ22のコンタクト(図示略)に接触することになる。

以下、前述したのと同様にICカード32のパッド33がコネクタ22のコンタクトに完全に接続されたことが確認されるとローラ6の回転は停止される。
この結果、ICカード32はコネクタ22に接続された状態で静止することになりホスト・コントローラHCによってデータ処理が行われることになる。
当該コントローラHCとICカード32とのデータ通信が成功し完了すると該コントローラHCから発行信号S6が副のコントローラMCに送出される。
発行信号S6があると副コントローラMCは駆動回路MDを介在してモータ38を正回転する。

かくして前記したのと同様に図11に示されるようにICカード32が受け枠23に達し手による取り出し準備が完了する。
ホスト・コントローラHCとICカード32との通信が成功しなかった場合には例えばICカード32が回収される。
こうした場合には以前に記載したように主コントロールHCから回収信号S8が副コントロールMCに送出される。
回収信号S8があると副コントローラMCはモータ38を正回転する。

回収ICカード32Dが受け枠23方向に送られ其の前端がセンサRSに検出されるとモータ38が停止される(図12を参照)。
ほぼ同時に装置・コントローラMCによってモータ39が駆動されギア20はシャフト12まわりに正回転される。
ICカード32Dはローラ6とアイドラ7とに挟まれているため水平状態から約40度の傾斜状態になる(図14の(A)ならびに図14(B)を参照)。
このときセンサ37Bが検出信号S9を介在してピニオン25すなわちモータ39の回動を停止する。

ほぼ同時にローラ6が逆回転され回収ICカード32Dは図の下方に回収される(図15(A)ならびに図15(B)を参照)。
そののちモータ39が逆回転され図12に示されるようにギア20すなわちアイドラ7が元の位置に戻される。
アイドラ7が元の位置に戻されるとセンサ37Aが小さな切り欠き20Mを検出する。
センサ37Aの検出信号S10を介してモータ39の回動が停止され元の状態に復帰される。

図19ならびに図20は上述の実施例の動作をまとめたフローチャートである。ここで上述の動作を理解するために此等のフローチャートを概略説明する。
主コントローラHCからICカード32の払い出し信号S1があると(ステップST1)最も下のICカード32がローラ1によって送り出される(ステップST2)。
ICカード32の前端は回動するローラ6とアイドラ7とによってピックアップされ該ICカード32は受け枠23の方向に送り出される(ステップST3)。

ICカード32の前端がセンサRSに検出されると其の信号S3を介在してモータ38が逆回転される(ステップST4ならびにステップST5)。
モータ38の逆回転によってICカード32がコネクタ22に接続されコネクタ22の前縁はスイッチMSをオンにする。
スイッチMSがオンになると装置・コントローラMCは接続信号S5をホスト・コントローラHCに送出する(ステップST6)。
この結果、ICカード32はコネクタ22に接続された状態で静止される。

静止の接続状態でICカード32内のチップがホスト・コントローラHCによってエンコードされる(ステップST7)。
主コントローラHCとICカード32との通信が成功して完了すると(ステップST8)該コントローラHCから発行信号S6が副のコントローラMCに送出される(ステップST9)。
発行信号S6があると副コントローラMCは駆動回路MDを介在してモータ38を正回転する(ステップST10)。

当該ICカード32が受け枠23から引き出されると完了信号S7がなくなって装置全体の状態が元にもどる(ステップST13ならびにST14)。
ホスト・コントローラHCとICカード32との通信が成功しなかった場合には例えばICカード32が回収される(ステップ8)。

こうした時には主コントロールHCから回収信号S8が副コントロールMCに送出される(ステップST15)。
回収信号S8があると前記したように回収ICカード32Dは当該装置内の下方に回収される(ステップST16)。
ホスト・コントローラHCから受け入れ信号S12が装置・コントローラMCに送出され(ステップST21)ICカード32が受け枠23から当該装置内部に挿入される(ステップST22)。

かくしてICカード32はコネクタ22に接続された状態で静止されホスト・コントローラHCとICカード32との間で通信が行われる(ステップST25)。

当該コントローラHCとICカード32との通信が成功し完了すると該コントローラHCから発行信号S6が副のコントローラMCに送出される(ステップST27)。
発行信号S6があると副コントローラMCは駆動回路MDを介在してモータ38を正回転する(ステップST28)。

そして当該ICカード32が受け枠23から引き出されると完了信号S7がなくなって装置全体の状態が元にもどる(ステップST31ならびにST32)。
ホスト・コントローラHCとICカード32との通信が成功しなかった場合には例えばICカード32が回収される。

【発明の効果】
以上のようになる本発明は、カードを一枚のみ確実に払い出しできる装置に簡単な構成を付加することによってICカードをデータ処理して発行できるという大きな効果が得られる。

加えて本発明は装置の外部から挿入されたICカードをデータ処理し再び該ICカードを発行できるという実用上の利点が得られる。
また本発明はブランクのICカードを多数枚貯留して発行できる利点がある。
また本発明は貯留されたICカードの配置が間違った場合にも回収できるという利点がある。

The present invention is provided with an opening for receiving or dispensing an IC card, connector means for connecting to the IC card and processing the IC card, and provided between the opening and the connector means.
