Description
本発明はまた、多層構造であって食品に接触する表面上に酸素および光を遮断する材料および熱シール可能なプラスチック材料を有する形式の、流動食品の密封パッケージを製造するための包装シート材料の殺菌ユニットであって、包装シート材料に電子を照射してその電子が前記包装シート材料を数μmの深さまで透過するようにする照射手段を含み、該照射手段が低電圧電子ビームを発生する二つの発生装置を含み、それらの発生装置は前記包装シート材料の両側に配置されて、包装シート材料の両面に向けて放射されるそれぞれ最大で100KeVのエネルギーを有する電子ビームを発生するようになっており、また、各々の前記発生装置が、電子放射手段と、電界を発生させて包装シート材料に放射されるビームとして前記電子を加速するための発生手段とを含んでいる殺菌ユニットにおいて、前記発生装置が、前記包装シート材料に直角の方向に互いに整合されていて、包装シート材料の両面を同時に照射するために同時に付勢されるようになっていることを特徴とする殺菌ユニットを提供する。

Claims (11)
- 多層構造であって食品に接触する表面上に酸素および光を遮断する材料(12)と熱シール可能なプラスチック材料(13)とを有する形式の、流動食品の密封パッケージを製造するための包装シート材料(2)の殺菌方法であって、包装シート材料(2)に電子を照射する照射段階を含み、その照射段階が、包装シート材料(2)の両面(2a,2b)に向けてそれぞれ最大で100KeVのエネルギーを有する低電圧電子ビームを放射して、その電子ビームが包装シート材料(2)を数μmの深さまで透過するようにする段階を含み、電子ビームを放射する前記段階が、包装シート材料(2)の両面(2a,2b)へ向けての電子の照射段階および該電子の加速段階を含み、また、前記殺菌方法が、前記電子ビームを包装シート材料(2)に直角の方向へ互いに整合させて該電子ビームを包装シート材料(2)の両面(2a,2b)に同時に放射させる段階を含むことを特徴とする殺菌方法。
- 前記電子を加速する前記段階が90kV以下の電位差で発生された電界を与えることで遂行されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載された方法。
- 前記電位差が80kV未満であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載された方法。
- 多数の補助部材(5)が予め取付けられている包装シート材料(2)の両面(2a,2b)に対して行われることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3までのいずれか一項に記載された方法。
- 連続ウェブである包装シート材料(2)の両面(2a,2b)に対して行われることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4までのいずれか一項に記載された方法。
- 多層構造であって食品に接触する表面上に酸素および光を遮断する材料(12)および熱シール可能なプラスチック材料(13)を有する形式の、流動食品の密封パッケージを製造するための包装シート材料(2)の殺菌ユニット(3)であって、包装シート材料(2)に電子を照射してその電子が前記包装シート材料(2)を数μmの深さまで透過するようにする照射手段(20)を含み、該照射手段が低電圧電子ビームを発生する二つの発生装置(20)を含み、それらの発生装置は前記包装シート材料(2)の両側に配置されて、包装シート材料(2)の両面(2a,2b)に向けて放射されるそれぞれ最大で100KeVのエネルギーを有する電子ビームを発生するようになっており、また、各々の前記発生装置(20)が、電子放射手段(27)と、電界を発生させて包装シート材料(2)に放射されるビームとして前記電子を加速するための発生手段(27,26)とを含んでいる殺菌ユニットにおいて、
前記発生装置(20)が、前記包装シート材料(2)に直角の方向に互いに整合されていて、包装シート材料(2)の両面(2a,2b)を同時に照射するために同時に付勢されるようになっていることを特徴とする殺菌ユニット。 - 前記電界が90kV以下の電位差で発生されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載されたユニット。
- 前記電位差が80kV未満であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載されたユニット。
- 電子ビームを発生させる前記発生装置を囲む領域を遮蔽するために少なくとも一つのシールド(30)を含むことを特徴とする請求項6から請求項8までのいずれか一項に記載されたユニット。
- 前記シールド(30)が20mm未満の厚さの鋼で作られていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載されたユニット。
- 前記シールド(30)が3mmの厚さの鉛で作られていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載されたユニット。
