【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、リード線等の電線端末の裸線部を磨くための電動用ワイヤーブラシに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、例えば、各家屋にはその使用電力量を計測するために積算電力計が設けられている。該積算電力計は通常家屋の外壁で隣の家屋の外壁との間といった極く狭いスペースに取り付けられることが多い。ところで、前記積算電力計は10年に1回または引っ越しの際などに新しいものと交換されるが、この際、積算電力計の接続端子部に挿入するリード線端末の裸線部にはその表面に電気的接触を悪くする酸化被膜や油脂質等の付着物が付いていることが多く、このため前記裸線部を柄付きのワイヤーブラシを使って手作業により1本ずつ擦って磨いていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
このように積算電力計が壁と壁の間に取り付けられていることから、狭いスペースでリード線端末の裸線部を柄付きのワイヤーブラシで磨かねばならず、このためワイヤーブラシの柄が邪魔になってワイヤーブラシが動かしにくくて磨き辛く、作業能率が悪いばかりか、磨き残しの個所ができるといった問題があった。
そこで、本発明はこのような従来技術にみられる課題を解決すべくなされたもので、狭い作業場所でも作業し易く、しかも作業時間が短縮できてその能率を向上するようにした電動用ワイヤーブラシを提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
かかる目的を達成するために本発明に係る電動用ワイヤーブラシは、先端面に電線挿通孔を開設すると共に基端面を塞壁により閉止した中空の筒状本体からなり、該筒状本体の内周壁面に先端が該筒状本体の中心線に向きかつ挿通される電線の裸線部の表面に接する無数の鋼針を植設し、該無数の鋼針は筒状本体の回転方向に対向してくの字形に屈曲し、前記塞壁の外側面に前記中心線に沿って電動ドライバーの嵌合軸孔に嵌入される支軸を突設して、前記支軸を別途用意した電動用ドライバーの嵌合軸孔に嵌入させ、片手に持った電動ドライバーの操作によって筒状本体をその中心線を中心として回転させながら電線挿通孔から筒状本体内にリード線端末の裸線部を挿入し、回転する鋼針群の先端で裸線部の表面を能率良く磨くことができるようにした。
この際、前記筒状本体をABS樹脂により成形し、該筒状本体の塞壁の内側面に、差し込まれた電線の裸線部の先端を止めさせ塞壁の摩耗を防ぐステンレス製の円板を埋設することが好ましい。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に本発明に係る電動用ワイヤーブラシの実施の形態を図面と共に説明する。図1は電動用ワイヤーブラシの外観斜視図、図2はその縦断面図である。図において1は電気特性のよいABS樹脂製の円筒からなる筒状本体である。該筒状本体1は先端面の中央に電線挿通孔2が開設され、基端面は塞壁1aにより閉止された中空に形成されている。該筒状本体1の内周壁面1bには無数の鋼針3が筒状本体1の中心線に向けて面状に植設されると共に、該中心線に沿って前記電線挿通孔2と連通する断面略円形をなす空間4が形成され、無数の鋼針3の先端をブラシ面としている。また、空間4奥端の塞壁1aの内側面に差し込まれた電線の先端を止めさせ塞壁1aの摩耗を防ぐステンレス製の円板5が埋設されている。

前記筒状本体1の塞壁1aの外側面には中心に位置させて保持筒6が一体に突設され、該保持筒6に支軸7が嵌入して固着される。該支軸7は、別途用意される電動ドライバーD先端の嵌合軸孔8に嵌入させるためのもので、前記中心線に沿って設けられ、前記嵌合軸孔8及び支軸7は何れも断面六角形に形成されている。また、筒状本体1には基端寄りの外周面に段差9を介して小径部10が形成され、該小径部10の外周面に前記空間4の直径や長さその他電線サイズに応じた事項を表示したラベル11を貼着している。なお、筒状本体1は電線の太さサイズに応じて色を違えて各種揃えるようにしても良い。

前記鋼針3は図6の矢視に示すように筒状本体1の回転方向に対向してくの字形に屈曲させることで電線に対して腰を強くして接触でき電線が良く磨けるようにしている。また、鋼針3は前記した筒状本体1の内周壁面1bに直接植設するものに限られるものでなく、屈曲可能な素材で形成される基材の表面に鋼針3を植設したいわゆる針布を筒状本体1の内周壁面1bに貼着固定するようにしてもよい。

このように構成された電動用ワイヤーブラシBは図4及び図5に示すように筒状本体1の基端に固設された支軸7を公知のポータブル式の電動ドライバーDの先端に設けられた嵌合軸孔8に嵌着させる。該電動ドライバーDは正逆回転自在である。そして、一方の片手で電動ドライバーDの握り部Gを握り、スイッチSWを操作することにより電動用ワイヤーブラシBを回転させつつ、筒状本体1の先端面に設けた電線挿通孔2から、他方の片手に持ったリード線W端末の裸線部Cを差し込み、その表面を回転するブラシ面で擦って磨く。このようにして擦することで裸線部Cの表面の酸化被膜や油脂質等の付着物は極く短時間に、しかも撚線の隙間の奥まできれいに除去されて、電気的接触を良好な状態にすることができる。

なお、電動ドライバーDは高速回転させる方が裸線部Cが早くきれいに磨ける。そして、磨き終えたリード線Wを電動用ワイヤーブラシBから引き抜くときは電動用ワイヤーブラシBを回転させながら行なうことで、電動用ワイヤーブラシBが電動ドライバーDから外れるのを防ぐことができる。また、前記したように筒状本体1を電気特性のよいABS樹脂で形成することで、耐電圧性能に優れ、リード線Wが活線のままでも安全に磨くことができる。

【発明の効果】
以上、述べたように本発明に係る電動用ワイヤーブラシは公知の電動ドライバーに簡単に装着することができ、また電動ドライバーを操作して回転する電動用ワイヤーブラシ内にリード線端末の裸線部を差し込むのみで簡単に磨くことができるから、例えば、作業しづらいような狭いスペースに積算電力計が設置されていても、その接続端子部に接続させるリード線端末の裸線部を場所の制約を受けることなく容易に磨くことができ、作業時間が短縮できるばかりか作業能率も向上するという効果が有る。
