本発明は、上記課題を解決するために、垂直な上下板同士間を突き合わせ溶接する水平方向の開先部に沿い自動溶接機を横向きに走行させて溶接して行く横向き自動溶接機の走行装置において、溶接機を搭載した走行台車の裏面に、上記垂直な板の表面への吸着力を生じさせるように電磁石を組み込むと共に、走行台車の走行姿勢の上端部位置に永久磁石を取り付け、且つ上記走行台車が上記上下の板を突き合わせ溶接する開先部の上側開先面をレールとして走行できるように該走行台車の前後両側部に、倣いローラを、上記開先部の上側開先面に常に接して転動するようにそれぞれ回転自在に取り付け支持させ、上記倣いローラを開先部の上側開先面に接し転動させるようにして走行台車を横向きに走行させるようにした構成とし、更に、走行台車を水平より僅かに上向きに走行させるようにした構成とする。

以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面を参照して説明する。
