Description
【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to an interactive error correction method in information communication. More specifically, communication for transmitting information between a sender and a receiver is performed via a private channel, and communication for correcting information is performed using a public channel. The present invention relates to an improvement in a technique for determining an erroneous bit in an information block including an error extracted by parity check in a system that performs interactive processing via the network.
[0002]
In this specification, an “information block” refers to a unit set made up of bits constituting a sequence that the sender wants to convey to the receiver. The “check block” refers to a unit set consisting of bits necessary for error correction.
[0003]
In the communication as described above, generally, all information bit groups are divided into a plurality of information blocks each consisting of k bits according to a contract between the sender and the receiver. Parity verification is performed for each information block.
[0004]
Parity verification is performed according to the agreement between the sender and the receiver. In general, the parity is 0 when the number of 1s in the information block (k bits) is an even number, and the parity is 1 when the number is odd. Parity verification is performed according to this contract, and information blocks having different parity (that is, information blocks including errors) are extracted.
[0005]
However, in this method, there is no problem when there is one error in the information block, but when there are two errors, it cannot be determined whether there is an error in the information block. Therefore, the first all information bit group is rearranged at random, and the parity check similar to the above is performed.
[0006]
This parity check is repeated a predetermined number of times agreed between the sender and the receiver. Then, it is statistically estimated that “there is no error” in the information block remaining after the predetermined number of repetitions. Then, the error position (that is, bit) in the check block is detected for each of the information blocks extracted by the predetermined number of parity checks, and the error is corrected for the bit.
[0007]
A technique called “binary search method” has been used to detect this error bit. In this method, (1) an information block (k bits) extracted as having errors is divided into two child information blocks (1/2 k bits), and (2) child information blocks without errors are ignored. An errored child information block (1/2 bit) is divided into two grandchild information blocks (1/4), and (3) an errored grandchild information block (1 / (4 bits) is repeated.
[0008]
The number of repetitions, that is, the number of communications, is represented by (log 2 k). However, there is a problem that the number of communications increases as the information block size (k) increases. In other words, the need for an error bit detection method that replaces the binary search method has arisen.
[0009]
In response to this request, the technical idea of using an “inspection block” was proposed. That is, this is a technique in which a check block is formed for an erroneous information block, and error bits are detected based on the check block. That is, the information block (k bits) and the check block (n−k bits) constitute a total block (n bits).
[0010]
A Hamming method is known as a conventional technique using this inspection block. In this method, an inspection block that satisfies the following Hamming limit equation is determined.
[0011]
[Expression 1]
[0012]
Taking a case where the information block is 1 bit, that is, k = 1, as a specific example, n = 3 calculated from the above limit equation. That is, the information block is 1 bit, the check block is 2 bits, and the total communication block is 3 bits.
[0013]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, this hamming method has a problem that the processing time and therefore the communication time become longer because the check block is taken into consideration when detecting an error.
[0014]
When an information block and a check block are considered, an error may occur in the information block, but no error occurs in the check block. Therefore, the present invention focuses on the fact that the presence of a check block can be ignored when an error is detected.
[0015]
That is, the object of the present invention is to reduce communication time in interactive error correction work in information communication.
[0016]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
For this reason, in the first invention of this application, the sender transmits a total information bit group consisting of a certain number of bits to the receiver via a private channel, and the total information bit group is agreed by the total receiver. Is divided into a plurality of k-bit information blocks in consideration of the error rate of the sequence, and the parity of each block obtained on the sender side is transmitted to the receiver via the public communication path. The received parity is compared with the received parity for each block, the receiver extracts information blocks containing errors due to the difference in parity, and transmits which information blocks contain errors via the public channel. The sender determines a check block based on the limit equation (k = 2 nk ), and detects and corrects the error bit in the corresponding error-containing information block based on the determined check block. thing Is a summary.
[0017]
In the second invention, the sender transmits a total information bit group consisting of a certain bit to the receiver via a private communication channel, and the total information bit group is transmitted with the error rate of the sequence by agreement between the sender and the receiver. In consideration, it is divided into a plurality of information blocks each of k bits, and the parity of each block obtained on the sender side is transmitted to the receiver side via the public communication path, and the parity obtained on the receiver side on the receiver side And received parity are compared for each block, information blocks containing errors due to differences in parity are extracted, and which information blocks contain errors are transmitted to the sender via the public communication path. Creates a 1-bit random number sequence by a random number generator based on the limit equation (k = 2 k-1-1 ), and detects error bits in the information block containing the corresponding error based on the random number sequence. To correct The gist.
[0018]
【Example】
As described above, the first invention of this application adopts the limit equation (k = 2 nk ), which includes (1) an error exists only in an information block, and (2) includes an error. The information block is based on two conditions that there are always at least one odd number of errors.
[0019]
As a specific example, consider a case where the information block is 2 bits, that is, k = 2.
Since n = 3 is calculated from the above limit equation, the check block is (n−k) and is 1 bit. When this result (information block = 2 bits: check block = 1 bit) is compared with the case of the Hamming method described above (information block = 1 bit and check block = 2 bits), the present invention is compared with the Hamming method. The information block is double bit, but the check block is half bit.
[0020]
That is, according to the present invention, the number of bits transmitted on the public communication path (the total number of bits of each check block) can be reduced, and the number of communications is reduced, resulting in a shortened communication time.
[0021]
Next, the procedure of error bit detection work according to the first invention will be sequentially described.
[0022]
(A) Step. It is assumed that the information block having an error is k bits, the sender has the information block J, and the receiver has received the information block J ′.
[0023]
(B) Step. The receiver calculates the value of n from the limit equation (k = 2 nk ).
[0024]
(C) Step. Using this value of n, the test block is determined to be (n−k) bits.
[0025]
(D) Step. Next, a complete code generation matrix G is created. That is, a matrix having k rows and (n−k) columns is created.
[0026]
(E) Step. The inspection block K is created by J · G.
[0027]
(F) Step. The sender transmits this inspection block K to the receiver via the public communication path.
[0028]
(G) The receiver creates a sum R by adding the check block K to the received information block J ′.
[0029]
(H) Next, transpose the matrix G to create G (T) .
[0030]
(I) A unit matrix is added to the transposed matrix G (T) to create a sum H. Here, a series having (n−k) rows and columns and having a diagonal line of 1 is used as the unit matrix.
[0031]
(J) Create a transposed sequence R (T) of the sum R.
[0032]
(K) A product is created by multiplying the matrix H by this R (T) .
[0033]
(L) Find the column (m) in the matrix H that matches this product.
[0034]
(M) There is an error in the mth bit in the sequence J ′ received by the receiver.
[0035]
(N) Therefore, the m-th bit is corrected as 1 → 0 or 0 → 1.
[0036]
[Experimental example]
The results obtained by experimenting each step of the present invention as described above with respect to specific values are shown by the following mathematical expressions.
[0037]
[Expression 2]
[0038]
Next, the steps of the second invention will be described. (A) Step. It is assumed that the information block having an error is k bits, the sender has the information block J, and the receiver has received the information block J ′.
[0039]
(B) Step. The random number sequence L is obtained by calculating the value of the number of bits l of the random number sequence L by the above limit expression.
[0040]
(C) Step. Find w satisfying k = w + 1, and determine a known complete code generation matrix G ′ of l columns and w columns.
[0041]
(D) Step. A sequence W having the number of bits w is obtained by multiplying the sequence L and the matrix G ′.
[0042]
(E) Step. A series Y is formed by calculating an exclusive OR for each bit corresponding to the first w bits of the information block J and the series W.
[0043]
(F) Step. This sequence Y is transmitted between the sender and the receiver.
[0044]
(G) Step. A series Z is created by calculating an exclusive OR for each bit corresponding to the first w bits of the information block J ′ and the series Y.
[0045]
(H) Step. This sequence Z is transposed to create a sequence Z (T) .
[0046]
(I) Step. A unit matrix is added to the transpose of the latter half (wl) bits of the matrix G 'to create a matrix H of w columns with (wl) rows.
[0047]
(J) Step. A product is obtained by multiplying the matrix H and the sequence Z (T) .
[0048]
(K) Step. Find the column (m) in matrix H that matches this product.
[0049]
(L) Step. The mth bit of the information block J ′ is corrected. However, if this product becomes an all-zero column vector, the last bit of the information block J ′ is corrected.
[0050]
[Experimental example]

[0051]
[Equation 3]
[0052]
【The invention's effect】
As is apparent from the above, according to the present invention, although the amount of information to be transmitted is slightly increased, the number of communications, that is, the communication time is significantly reduced. More specifically, according to the method of the present invention, the amount of information to be transmitted is increased by about 7 to 14% compared to the case of using the Hamming method, but the number of communications can be reduced to about 1/4. .
