Description
送信局102によって送信されるべきデータは、ある周波数帯域にわたって送信されかつ拡散されるべきデータのスペクトル拡散フォーマットでの表現を有する電力増幅された電磁波信号の形式を有してもよい。とって代わる実施例においては、送信局102によって送信されるべきデータは、ある周波数帯域で拡散された、第1のスペクトル拡散信号で送信され、当該周波数帯域と関連する少なくとも1つの別の送信と重畳されるべきデータを備えた複合の電力増幅された電磁波信号の形式を有してもよい。実施例においては、上記周波数帯域は、共用された地域上の通信チャンネル又はセルラー通信チャンネルに対応する。別の実施例においては、上記周波数帯域は、約1850MHzと約2200MHzの間の少なくとも1つの周波数を備える。
実施例においては、通信チャンネル103は、予め決められた複数の周波数の組を備える。さらに、上記通信チャンネル103は、例えば、1つの非データ送信、1つの非デジタル送信、又は音声送信のような、他のタイプの送信と共用してもよい。
好ましい実施例においては、加入者局104は、複数の異なった通信チャンネルを用いて同時に1つを超える数の信号を受信することができる。
実施例においては、上記第3の通信チャンネル103は、共用された地球上の通信チャンネルを備えてもよい。
このように、加入者局104は、(図1を参照して記述したような他の情報と同様に)セルラーシステム201又は衛星システム105によって送信すべきデータを受信し、セルラーシステム201又は衛星システム105によって応答してもよい。この応答は、衛星システム105による別のデータ又は他の送信のための要求を備えてもよく、送信機局102は衛星システム105によって送信された別のデータとともにその要求に対して応答するようにしてもよい。
実施例においては、1つ又はそれ以上のデータ送信は、第1の通信チャンネル103と第2のチャンネル103の両方を介して加入者局104に送信してもよい。次いで、加入者局104は送信局102に要求を送信して、上記第1の通信チャンネル103上で受信されたデータに応答して第2の通信チャンネル103上のデータを受信する。上記要求を受信した後、送信局102は、第2の通信チャンネル103上のデータを加入者局104に送信してもよい。
実施例において、送信局102は地球上の通信チャンネル上で動作し、スペクトル拡散のフォーマットで複数の信号を送信してもよく、ここで、上記地球上のチャンネルは、少なくとも1つの送信で共用され、当該送信は、非データ送信、非デジタル送信、又は音声送信を含むことができる。
Claims (16)
- スペクトル拡散信号を放送する送信機局であって、
該スペクトル拡散信号は、1つ以上の加入者局に放送されるべき情報を表し、該スペクトル拡散信号は、通信チャンネルを含む周波数帯域にわたって拡散され、
該送信機局は、受信機を含み、該受信機は、該通信チャンネルで通信を受信する回路を含み、該スペクトル信号は、該1つ以上の加入者局に送信され、
該加入者局のそれぞれは、加入者局受信機と加入者局送信機とを含み、
該加入者局は、該通信チャンネルで信号を送信すると同時に、該スペクトル拡散信号を受信することが可能である、送信機局。 - 前記通信チャンネルは、セルラーシステムのチャンネルを含む、請求項1に記載の送信機局。
- 前記送信機局は、前記通信チャンネルで加入者局送信機から信号を受信する、請求項1に記載の送信機局。
- スペクトル拡散符号化器と、情報フォーマット化能力とをさらに備え、
該スペクトル拡散符号化器は、放送されるべき情報を含む入力を受信し、該放送されるべき情報を表す前記スペクトル拡散信号を含む出力を生成し、
該情報フォーマット化能力は、データバッファと情報フォーマット化出力とを含み、該情報フォーマット化出力は、フォーマット化された情報を含み、該フォーマット化された情報は、該スペクトル拡散符号化器への入力を含む、請求項1に記載の送信機局。 - 前記1つ以上の加入者局に放送されるべき前記情報は、放送チャンネルで送信され、該放送チャンネルは、放送通信チャンネルまたはポイント・ツー・ポイント通信チャンネルを含む、請求項4に記載の送信機局。
- 前記放送チャンネルは、ポイント・ツー・ポイント通信チャンネルを含み、
前記放送されるべき情報は、複数のメッセージを含み、
前記情報フォーマット化能力は、該複数のメッセージのうちの1つのメッセージを第1の加入者局にアドレス指定する機能をさらに含む、請求項5に記載の送信機局。 - 前記スペクトル拡散符号化器への入力は、複数のデータメッセージを含み、前記送信機局は、該複数のデータメッセージのうちの1つ以上が加入者局に放送されることを要求する加入者局からの送信を受信する、請求項4に記載の送信機局。
- 第1の加入者局受信機と加入者局送信機とを備えた加入者局であって、
該第1の加入者局受信機は、該加入者局送信機が通信チャンネルで信号を送信すると同時に、放送送信機局からスペクトル拡散信号を受信可能であり、該スペクトル拡散信号は、該加入者局に放送される情報を表し、該スペクトル拡散信号は、該通信チャンネルを含む周波数帯域にわたって拡散されている、加入者局。 - 前記通信チャンネルは、セルラーシステムのチャンネルを含む、請求項8に記載の加入者局。
- 前記加入者局は、第2の加入者局受信機をさらに備え、
該第2の加入者局受信機は、地球上の通信チャンネルで信号を受信する回路を含み、
前記加入者局送信機は、該地球上の通信チャンネルで信号を送信する回路を含む、請求項8に記載の加入者局。 - 前記加入者局は、前記加入者局送信機を用いて前記放送送信機局に信号を送信する、請求項8に記載の加入者局。
- 前記放送される情報は、放送チャンネルで送信され、
該放送チャンネルは、放送通信チャンネルまたはポイント・ツー・ポイント通信チャンネルを含む、請求項8に記載の加入者局。 - 前記放送チャンネルは、ポイント・ツー・ポイント通信チャンネルを含み、前記放送されるべき情報は、複数のメッセージを含む、請求項12に記載の加入者局。
- 前記加入者局は、前記複数のメッセージのうちの1つ以上が該加入者局に放送されることを要求する前記放送送信機局にメッセージを送信する、請求項12に記載の加入者局。
- 放送されるべき情報を受信することと、
スペクトル拡散フォーマットで加入者局に該放送されるべき情報の表現を含む第1の信号を生成することと、
周波数帯域で該第1の信号を送信することであって、該第1の信号は、スペクトル拡散の態様で該周波数帯域にわたって拡散されており、該周波数帯域は、通信チャンネルを含む、ことと、
該周波数帯域にわたって拡散される該第1の信号を送信すると同時に、該通信チャンネルで加入者局から第2の信号を受信すること
を包含する、放送する方法。 - 前記第2の信号は、地球上の通信チャンネルで受信される、請求項15に記載の放送する方法。
