Description

【0001】

[0011]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on embodiments shown in the drawings.
[0012]
<First Embodiment>
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the magnetic tape cartridge in this embodiment when not in use, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the main part, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the main part in the used state.
[0013]
The magnetic tape cartridge 1 is a cartridge case in which a magnetic tape (not shown) is wound around a single reel 2, and an upper case 31 and a lower case 32 provided with an opening 32a at the center are fastened by screws or the like. 3, the reel 2 is accommodated in a rotatable manner. The magnetic tape cartridge 1 further includes reel rotation restraining means 10 that allows the reel 2 to rotate when in use and restrains the rotation of the reel 2 when not in use.
[0014]
The reel 2 has a bottomed cylindrical reel hub 21 on which a magnetic tape is wound on the outer periphery, and a lower flange portion 22 and an upper flange portion 23 that project from the outer periphery of the upper and lower ends of the reel hub 21 in a disk shape in the radial direction. The reel hub 21 and the lower flange portion 22 are integrally formed of synthetic resin, and are joined to the upper flange portion 23 by, for example, ultrasonic welding. The lower part of the reel hub 21 is closed at the center by a bottom wall 21a, and a reel gear 24 for rotationally driving the reel 2 is formed in an annular shape on the outer periphery of the lower surface of the bottom wall 21a. A reel plate 25 made of an annular metal plate for suction is attached. The reel gear 24 and the reel plate 25 of the reel 2 are arranged so as to face the opening 32 a on the bottom surface of the cartridge case 3. The reel 2 is biased downward by a biasing member 5 described later.
[0015]
Further, the drive side rotation drive means 11 includes an annular drive gear 13 and a magnet (not shown) on the upper end surface of the rotation shaft 12, and its chucking operation is performed with respect to the loaded magnetic tape cartridge 1. 12, the drive gear 13 meshes with the reel gear 24, and the reel plate 25 is attracted by a magnet to maintain the meshed state.
[0016]
Next, the mechanism of the reel rotation stopping means 10 will be described. The reel rotation restraining means 10 includes a restraining member 4 that moves in the vertical direction so as to be able to contact and separate from the reel 2, a biasing member 5 that biases the restraining member 4 in the restraining direction and holds the restrained state, And a release member 6 that moves the stop member 4 in the release direction.
[0017]
In the bottom wall 21a of the reel 2, three insertion holes 26 penetrating the reel gear 24 in the vertical direction are arranged at equal intervals on the circumference, and further, the insertion is made on the upper surface of the bottom wall 21a. Three locking projections 27 are erected at equal intervals on the circumference at different phase positions from the hole 26, and the distal ends of the locking projections 27 are formed in a gear tooth shape. Note that three or more insertion holes 26 and locking protrusions 27 may be disposed, and the distal ends of the locking protrusions 27 may have a plurality of gear tooth shapes. The reel 2 shown in FIG. 2 is shown in a state where only the bottom wall 21a is cut away.
[0018]
The restraining member 4 has a disc portion 41 disposed in the reel hub 21 of the reel 2 so as to oppose the bottom wall 21a, and a discrepancy gear 42 is engraved on the outer periphery of the lower surface of the disc portion 41 in an annular shape. The stopping gear 42 can be engaged with the distal end portion of the locking projection 27. Further, the center part of the lower surface of the disk part 41 is formed in a convex shape so as to contact the center part of the upper surface of a disk part 61 of the release member 6 described later.
[0019]
Further, a projection 44 is formed on the upper surface of the disk portion 41 of the restraining member 4 so as to extend upward. The projection 44 is provided with a cross-shaped locking groove 45 extending in the vertical direction. On the other hand, an anti-rotation projection 33 inserted into the locking groove 45 is erected on the inner surface of the upper case 31 of the cartridge case 3. And the engagement of the locking groove 45 and the rotation prevention protrusion 33 is installed so that the restraining member 4 can move up and down without rotating.
[0020]
A biasing member 5 by a coil spring is mounted between the upper surface of the disk portion 41 on the outer peripheral side of the protrusion 44 of the stop member 4 and the inner surface of the outer periphery of the rotation stop protrusion 33 of the upper case 31. Is urged downward in a stopping direction in which the stopping gear 42 and the locking projection 27 are engaged. As shown in FIG. 4, the urging member 5 is composed of a coil spring made of a non-circular rectangular wire (flat wire) such as (A) or (B), and has a radial width W. It is provided so as to be larger than the height t (W> t), and is configured such that the contact height during compression is reduced.
[0021]
With this urging member 5, a large spring constant is obtained by securing the wire cross-sectional area of the coil spring to ensure the necessary urging force, while the contact height is lowered to increase the deformation stroke amount in the compression direction.
[0022]
The release member 6 is interposed between the restraining member 4 and the bottom wall 21a of the reel hub 21 so as to be movable up and down, and arm portions 62 are radially arranged at three locations on the outer periphery of the disc portion 61 on the center side. A rectangular bar-shaped push-up portion 63 is provided on the lower surface of the distal end of the arm portion 62 so as to extend in the vertical direction. Each push-up portion 63 is inserted into an insertion hole 26 opened in the reel hub 21 so as to be able to move in and out, and a tip thereof is positioned facing a tooth portion of the reel gear 24 on the lower surface of the reel hub 21. At that time, the locking protrusion 27 is positioned between the arm portions 62. The push-up portion 63 is not limited to a square bar shape, and may be a round bar shape.
[0023]
When the release member 6 is in the lowest lowered position (FIG. 1), the lower end surface of the push-up portion 63 is substantially the tooth tip position of the reel gear 24, and the drive gear 13 is driven by the chucking operation of the drive side rotational drive means 11 on the reel gear 24. The release member 6 is pressed in accordance with the engagement of the two and is pushed up by a predetermined stroke amount (FIG. 3). Further, the release member 6 rotates integrally with the reel 2 by fitting the push-up portion 63 into the insertion hole 26. Further, the restraining member 4 is urged by the urging member 5 so that the tip of the convex portion at the center of the lower surface abuts on the upper surface of the release member 6, and both come into sliding contact.
[0024]
In addition, at least one of the restraining member 4 and the release member 6 is made of molybdenum disulfide, polytetrafluoroethylene, graphite (graphite), potassium titanate whisker, silicone (various grades of dimethylpolysiloxane and modified products thereof), etc. The slipperiness may be improved by molding with a synthetic resin containing a lubricant. In addition to the above lubricants, oleic acid amide lubricants, erucic acid amide based lubricants, stearic acid amide based lubricants, bis fatty acid amide based lubricants, nonionic surfactant based lubricants, hydrocarbon based lubricants, fatty acid based lubricants, ester based lubricants Further, a lubricant such as an alcohol-based lubricant or metal soap may be added. Furthermore, as synthetic resins, aliphatic polyamides such as PC (polycarbonate), P0M (polyoxymethylene), glass fiber-containing ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), PPS, nylon 6 or nylon 66, aromatic polyamide, ultrahigh molecular weight It is preferable to use a resin excellent in abrasion resistance having an imide group such as polyethylene, isotactic polypropylene, syndiotactic polystyrene, polyimide, polyamideimide or polyetherimide. As a result, the friction and wear of both sliding contact portions are reduced, and the reel 2 can be stably rotated by reducing the driving resistance, and the generation of wear powder is suppressed to ensure the reliability of the recording / reproducing performance. be able to.
[0025]
The operation of the reel rotation restraining means 10 will be described. FIG. 1 shows a state in which the magnetic tape cartridge 1 is not used, such as a storage state. In this state, the restraining member 4 and the release member 6 are urged by the urging force of the urging member 5. The reel 2 has moved to the lower case 32 side of the cartridge case 3, and the opening 32 a at the center of the lower case 32 is closed by the reel 2. The release member 6 is in the lowest lowered state in which the lower surface is in contact with the upper surface of the bottom wall 21 a of the reel hub 21, and the push-up portion 63 protrudes so that the tip portion coincides with the tooth tip position of the reel gear 24. The restraining member 4 that is in contact with the upper surface is also in the lowered position, and the leading end portion of the latching protrusion 27 of the reel 2 is engaged with the restraining gear 42 to restrain the rotation of the reel 2 when not in use. To prevent withdrawal.
[0026]
On the other hand, when the cartridge of FIG. 3 in which the magnetic tape cartridge 1 is loaded in the drive is used, the rotation shaft 12 of the drive side rotation drive means 11 approaches the bottom surface of the reel 2, and the drive gear 13 is moved to the reel gear 24 by the chucking operation. When the reel 2 is moved slightly upward and held, the tooth tip of the drive gear 13 comes into contact with the tip of the push-up portion 63 of the release member 6 and pushes it up. Accordingly, the release member 6 moves upward against the urging force of the urging member 5, and the stop member 4 also moves in the upward release direction together with the release member 6. As a result, the engagement between the stopping gear 42 and the locking projection 27 is released, and the reel 2 is rotatable. Then, the magnetic tape is pulled out or taken up by the drive of the recording / reproducing apparatus.
[0027]
And, by using the biasing member 5 with a non-circular cross-sectional coil spring whose height in the compression direction becomes small as described above, both the required stroke amount and the biasing force can be secured in a narrow installation space, and the reel The operation reliability of the rotation stopping means 10 is improved.
[0028]

By securing the urging force and dividing, each wire diameter can be reduced, and the required stroke amount can be obtained by reducing the contact height.
[0032]
Further, since the spring constant of the outer coil spring 51 is made larger than that of the inner coil spring 52, the urging force of the outer peripheral portion is large, the horizontal holding of the restraining member 4 is improved, and the locking with the locking member 27 is evenly performed on the entire circumference. can get. In addition, since the free length of the coil spring can be reduced as compared with the case where the urging member 5 is constituted by a single coil spring, the difference in spring force between the position close to the compressed contact and the extended specified height position is reduced.
[0033]
<Third Embodiment>
In this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the urging member 5 is constituted by three small-diameter coil springs, and the rest is configured in the same manner as in the first embodiment.

The inner surface portion of the upper case 31 of the cartridge case 3 facing the upper surface of the restraining member 4 is formed by a fitting component 34 having a different structure.
[0035]
A straight wall-like projection 46 is erected at the center of the disc portion 41 of the restraining member 4, and a projection-shaped spring receiver 47 is provided at the position where the small-diameter coil spring 53 is disposed. On the other hand, the fitting component 34 has a flat plate portion 35 provided at approximately half of the wall thickness of the upper case 31 and both ends thereof are cut off and fitted and locked in the recesses of the upper case 31. At the center portion of the flat plate portion 35, a rotation prevention projection 36 is provided, and the rotation prevention projection 36 has a projection 46 of the restraining member 4 inserted therein to form a vertical groove slidable in the vertical direction. The rotation of the restraining member 4 is restricted. A protruding spring receiver 37 is also provided at the position where the small diameter coil spring 53 of the fitting component 34 is disposed.
[0036]
In assembling the magnetic tape cartridge 1 of this embodiment, first, the small-diameter coil springs 53 are respectively attached to the spring receivers 47 of the restraining member 4, and the fitting parts 34 are placed thereon, and the anti-rotation projections 36 are placed. While engaging the projection 46, the spring receiver 37 is inserted into the upper end of the small diameter coil spring 53 to hold each small diameter coil spring 53. In this temporarily assembled state, the reel 2 is inserted into the upper case 31 which is turned upside down, the fitting part 34 is fitted to the inner surface of the upper case 31, and then the release member 6 is temporarily assembled (temporary assembling method). (Not shown), and the lower case 32 is placed and fastened with screws or the like. The ease of assembling the three small-diameter coil springs 53 is improved by interposing the fitting parts 34 as described above. The number of the small-diameter coil springs 53 may be four or more, and are arranged at equal intervals.
[0037]
In the present embodiment, the urging member 5 is constituted by three small-diameter coil springs 53, and a necessary urging force is obtained by the sum of the respective urging forces. In addition, the contact height of each small-diameter coil spring 53 can be lowered, and the necessary deformation A reliable operation can be obtained by obtaining the stroke amount. Moreover, the horizontal balance of the restraining member 4 becomes favorable by arrange | positioning at equal intervals.
