Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a magnetic tape cartridge, and in particular, in a magnetic tape cartridge in which a single reel wound with a magnetic tape is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case, the reel is in a rotation-restrained state when not in use. The present invention relates to the structure of the rotation stopping means.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a magnetic tape cartridge used as a recording medium used in an external storage device such as a computer is of a type in which a magnetic tape is wound around a single reel and the reel is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case. Things are known. This magnetic tape is used for data storage in computers, etc., and stores important information, so that troubles such as tape jamming do not occur and the magnetic tape is pulled carelessly when not in use, such as during storage. Reel rotation stopping means for restricting the rotation of the reel is provided so as not to be released.
[0003]
The reel rotation restraining means includes a restraining member that engages with a part of the reel and restrains its rotation, and when the cartridge is loaded in a drive such as an external storage device, the restraining member is driven to the drive side rotation driving means. The stop state is provided in accordance with the reel chucking operation.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Therefore, in order to improve the reliability of the operation of the reel rotation restraining means described above and to prevent dust from entering the cartridge case, the release member is not provided in the middle, but a structure in which the restraining member is directly moved by the drive side rotational driving means. It is conceivable to provide a structure in which the restrained state is released through the insertion of the.
[0005]
With regard to the structure for interposing the release member as described above, the installation space for the reel rotation restraining means in the cartridge case is narrow, and the amount of deformation of the biasing member that holds the restrained state and the amount of release movement are secured. For this reason, there is a possibility that the thickness of the release member becomes thin and the bending deformation becomes large, and the movement of the release member is obstructed, or the release movement amount is insufficient, so that it is impossible to reliably release the locked state of the reel. .
[0006]
Further, when the reel rotates in the released state in the reel rotation stopping means, if sliding contact occurs between the member that rotates integrally with the reel and the member that does not rotate, the driving resistance increases and the sliding portion wears. Problems such as generation of powder may occur. Furthermore, if a coil spring is used as the biasing member for maintaining the restrained state, a large space is required to secure the amount of deformation of the coil spring, and the thickness of the release member is increased in terms of the installation space described above. Is more difficult to secure.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and provides a magnetic tape cartridge that secures a reliable release operation by suppressing the bending deformation of the release member of the reel rotation restraining means and solves the problem of wear caused by sliding. It is something to be done.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the magnetic tape cartridge of the present invention that has solved the above-mentioned problems, a single reel wound with a magnetic tape is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case, and the reel is allowed to rotate in use in the cartridge case. The reel rotation restraining means includes a reel rotation restraining means that restrains the rotation of the reel when not in use, and the reel rotation restraining means rotates integrally with the reel, and the reel rotation restraining means responds to the chucking operation of the drive side rotation driving means . A release member that moves parallel to the rotation axis; a stop member that is fixed to the cartridge case and engages with a part of the release member to restrain the rotation of the reel; and the release member in the engagement direction of the stop member and a biasing member for biasing, the biasing member, the base portion is attached to the reel, the leading end is abutted to the release member rotational axis of the reel the release member It is characterized in that it has a plate spring parallel energized.
[0009]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention as described above, the reel rotation restraining means is formed by the release member, the restraining member, and the urging member, and the urging member is constituted by the leaf spring attached to the reel. The release member can be made compact to make effective use of the installation space, and the release member can be made sufficiently thick to reduce its bending deformation, so that the release member can be moved stably. Operates and ensures operational reliability, eliminates worn parts, enables stable reel rotation by reducing drive resistance, and suppresses the generation of wear powder to ensure reliable recording and playback performance Is something that can be done.
[0010]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on embodiments shown in the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a magnetic tape cartridge according to one embodiment in a non-use state, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of a main part, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the main part in a use state.
[0011]
The magnetic tape cartridge 1 is a cartridge case in which a magnetic tape (not shown) is wound around a single reel 2, and an upper case 31 and a lower case 32 provided with an opening 32a at the center are fastened by screws or the like. 3, the reel 2 is accommodated in a rotatable manner. The magnetic tape cartridge 1 further includes reel rotation restraining means 10 that allows the reel 2 to rotate when in use and restrains the rotation of the reel 2 when not in use.
[0012]
The reel 2 has a bottomed cylindrical reel hub 21 on which a magnetic tape is wound on the outer periphery, and a lower flange portion 22 and an upper flange portion 23 that project from the outer periphery of the upper and lower ends of the reel hub 21 in a disk shape in the radial direction. The reel hub 21 and the lower flange portion 22 are integrally formed of synthetic resin, and are joined to the upper flange portion 23 by, for example, ultrasonic welding. The lower part of the reel hub 21 is closed at the center by a bottom wall 21a, and a reel gear 24 for rotationally driving the reel 2 is formed in an annular shape on the outer periphery of the lower surface of the bottom wall 21a. A reel plate 25 made of an annular metal plate for suction is attached. The reel gear 24 and the reel plate 25 of the reel 2 are arranged so as to face the opening 32 a on the bottom surface of the cartridge case 3.
[0013]
Further, the drive side rotation drive means 11 includes an annular drive gear 13 and a magnet (not shown) on the upper end surface of the rotation shaft 12, and its chucking operation is performed with respect to the loaded magnetic tape cartridge 1. 12, the drive gear 13 meshes with the reel gear 24, and the reel plate 25 is attracted by a magnet to maintain the meshed state.
[0014]
Next, the mechanism of the reel rotation stopping means 10 will be described. The reel rotation stop means 10 rotates integrally with the reel 2 and moves according to the chucking operation of the drive side rotation drive means 11, and is fixed to the cartridge case 3 and is one of the release members 4. And a urging member 6 that urges the release member 4 in the direction of engagement with the restraining member 5.
[0015]
In the bottom wall 21 a of the reel 2, three insertion holes 26 penetrating the portion of the reel gear 24 in the vertical direction are arranged at equal intervals on the circumference. Three insertion support portions 27 are arranged at equal intervals on the circumference at a phase position different from that of the insertion hole 26, and the insertion support portion 27 can insert a plate-like base portion of a biasing member 6 by a plate spring described later from above. Grooves are formed. Three or more insertion holes 26 and insertion support portions 27 may be arranged. The reel 2 shown in FIG. 2 is shown in a state where only the bottom wall 21a is cut away.
[0016]
The restraining member 5 is formed with an annular restraining gear 52 engraved on the outer peripheral portion of the upper surface of the disk portion 51, and a projecting portion 53 extending upward at the center of the upper surface. The projecting portion 53 is formed in the cartridge case 3. It is inserted into an annular portion 31a erected on the inner surface of the upper case 31 and is fixed and installed so as not to rotate. The installed restraining member 5 is disposed in the reel hub 21 of the reel 2 so as to face the bottom wall 21a.
[0017]
The release member 4 has a disc portion 41 interposed on the disc portion 51 of the restraining member 5 such that the disc portion 41 can be moved up and down, and the lower surface of the disc portion 41 can be engaged with the restraining gear 52 of the restraining member 5. A gear 42 is engraved in an annular shape. Furthermore, square bar-shaped push-up portions 43 extending downward are provided at three locations on the outer periphery of the disk portion 41, respectively. Each push-up portion 43 is inserted into an insertion hole 26 opened in the reel hub 21 so as to be movable in and out, and a tip thereof is positioned facing a tooth portion of the reel gear 24 on the lower surface of the reel hub 21.
[0018]
Further, the urging member 6 is composed of three leaf springs, and a vertical plate-like base portion is inserted into each insertion support portion 27 of the reel hub 21 and attached to the reel 2 and bent toward the center of the reel 2. The tip deforming portion comes into contact with the upper surface of the disk portion 41 of the release member 4. The release member 4 is biased downward in the restraining direction in which the restraining gear 42 and the restraining gear 52 of the restraining member 5 are engaged by the bending deformation of the biasing member 6.
[0019]
In the lowest position of the release member 4 (FIG. 1), the lower end surface of the push-up portion 43 is substantially the tooth tip position of the reel gear 24, and the drive gear 13 is driven by the chucking operation of the drive side rotational drive means 11 on the reel gear 24. The release member 4 is pushed up by a predetermined stroke amount in accordance with the engagement (FIG. 3). The release member 4 rotates integrally with the reel 2 by fitting the push-up portion 43 into the insertion hole 26.
[0020]
The operation of the reel rotation stopping means 10 will be described. FIG. 1 shows a state in which the magnetic tape cartridge is not used, such as a storage state. In this state, the release member 4 is lowered to the lowest position by the urging force of the urging member 6. The push-up portion 43 protrudes so that the tip end coincides with the tooth tip position of the reel gear 24, and the stop gear 42 engages with the stop gear 52 of the stop member 5 so that the reel 2 is not used. Rotation is restricted and the magnetic tape is prevented from being pulled out.
[0021]
On the other hand, when the cartridge of FIG. 3 in which the magnetic tape cartridge 1 is loaded in the drive is used, the rotation shaft 12 of the drive side rotation drive means 11 approaches the bottom surface of the reel 2, and the drive gear 13 is moved to the reel gear 24 by the chucking operation. When the reel 2 is moved slightly upward and held, the tooth tip of the drive gear 13 comes into contact with the tip of the push-up portion 43 of the release member 4 and pushes it up. Since the release member 4 is provided with a sufficient thickness, the deformation is small, and the release member 4 moves in the release direction against the urging force of the urging member 6, whereby the stopping gear 42 and the stopping member of the releasing member 4 are moved. 5 is reliably released, and the reel 2 can be freely rotated.
[0022]
Then, when the magnetic tape is pulled out by the drive of the recording / reproducing apparatus or the reel 2 is rotated by winding, the release member 4 rotates together with the reel 2 and the biasing member 6 in a non-contact manner. Thereby, the rotational resistance of the reel 2 is reduced and the generation of wear powder is eliminated.
[0023]
In addition, the release member 4 and the reel hub 21 may be provided with an engagement structure that includes a convex portion and a concave portion that are engaged in a stopped state of the reel 2 and released in the released state.
