上記目的を達成するために本発明は、洗濯物を収納して互いに逆方向の第1、第2回転方向に回転する洗濯用回転体を備え、第1回転方向から反転する際に前記洗濯用回転体に加わる第1加速度の大きさが、第2回転方向から反転する際に前記洗濯用回転体に加わる第2加速度の大きさよりも大きく、第2加速度を加える前に、前記洗濯用回転体を等速回転させるための第1加速度と方向が同じで大きさの小さい第3加速度を加えたことで、洗濯物は第1加速度でドラムと異なる回転数で回転した後、第3加速度を加えたことでドラムの速度と略等しくなる時間をもうけたことを特徴としている。
