液体などを充填可能な容器を製造する方法としては、例えば、円筒形のパリソンを金型内に収容してブロー成形するものがあり、ブロー成形された容器を取り出す際には、パリソン内に圧縮空気を噴出するノズルも金型と共に取り外している。この場合、容器の開口部端縁にバリなどが生じることがあるため、容器のシール性を確保する目的で、図3に示す如く、ドリルなどの回転式切削刃を容器10の開口部11に対して貫通させることにより、開口部11の内周面11fを仕上げ加工することが一般的である。

しかしながら、上記の仕上げ加工にあっては、ドリルなどを用いて容器開口部の内周面を仕上げ加工する場合、その切り屑(削り屑)が容器の内部空間に入るという不都合があるため、切削加工の際にエアブローなどを施すことによって容器内部から削り屑を排出する必要があった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は、上述の事実に鑑みてなされたものであって、回転式の切削刃を用いて容器開口部の内周面を仕上げ加工する場合、その削り屑が容器の内部空間に入るという不都合を解消することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この課題を解決するため、本発明に係る樹脂製容器の仕上げ加工方法は、先端部にテーパを有する回転式の切削刃を用いて樹脂製容器の開口部内周面に仕上げ加工を施すに当たり、該開口部の入口端から仕上げ加工を開始し、容器の内部空間につながる該開口部の出側端に至るまでに該仕上げ加工を終了することを特徴するものである。

この場合、樹脂製容器の開口部内周面に仕上げ加工を施すに当って、回転式切削刃がその最大径の部分まで貫通しないため、その削り屑が容器の内部空間に侵入することを防止できる。

従って本発明によれば、樹脂製容器の開口部内周面に施す仕上げ加工を従来に比べて少ない工程数で実施することができるため、製造コストを抑えつつ生産性の向上を図ることができる。

本発明の好適な実施形態において、容器開口部における回転式切削刃により仕上げ加工を施される径方向範囲が、容器開口部内面から0.5mmを越える範囲であることが好ましい。さらには、1.0mm以上の範囲であることが特に好ましい。
