Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an ink jet head that ejects ink to record a desired image on a printing surface.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A conventional ink jet head includes a piezoelectric element having an ink supply port and individual electrodes joined thereto, and a laminated flow path plate that forms a pressure chamber. The laminated flow path plate (flow path unit) includes a nozzle plate having nozzles that eject ink droplets, a damper plate having a damper portion that absorbs vibration, and an ink pool plate having an ink pool that is a common ink reservoir. In addition, a chamber plate constituting each pressure chamber from the ink pool and a diaphragm having a diaphragm portion that pressurizes the pressure chamber are laminated. Then, an electrical signal based on the print data is transmitted to the piezoelectric element joined to the diaphragm portion, so that the piezoelectric element is driven, pressurizing the ink in the pressure chamber via the diaphragm portion, and ejecting the ink from the nozzle. The This ink absorbs vibration generated when it is ejected from the nozzle by a damper portion of the damper plate (for example, see Patent Document 1).

[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, since the damper plate is provided on the plate constituting the above-described laminated flow path plate, there is a problem that the effective area of the damper portion that absorbs vibration cannot be made large and vibration cannot be absorbed efficiently. . In addition, in the case of a serial type printer that performs printing while reciprocating the inkjet head, there is a problem in that ink pressure fluctuations that occur during reciprocal movement cannot be absorbed.
[0005]
In view of the above-described problems, the present invention provides an ink jet head that increases a thin plate portion that absorbs vibration and absorbs vibration and pressure fluctuation generated in ink to improve stability during ink ejection. With the goal.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
An inkjet head according to
[0007]
According to such a configuration, the pressure fluctuation generated in the second ink flow path at the time of printing can be absorbed by the thin plate portion of the damper flat plate, so that the stability during ink ejection is improved.
Further, since the thin plate portion is formed on the damper flat plate so as to face the second ink flow path, the thin plate portion can be formed widely, and the thin plate portion faces the second ink flow path with a large area. You can Therefore, the pressure fluctuation in the second ink flow path can be absorbed efficiently. As a result, it is not necessary to provide a pressure fluctuation absorbing mechanism (damper mechanism) specially, so that the configuration is simplified and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
In addition, according to the above configuration, the space in which the actuator unit is disposed and the air chamber can be shared, so that the inkjet head can be made compact and the number of parts can be easily reduced.
This configuration is suitable when applied to a serial printer that performs printing while reciprocating the inkjet head. That is, when the moving direction of the inkjet head is reversed, a strong pressure fluctuation is likely to occur in the second ink flow path, but according to this configuration, the pressure fluctuation can be efficiently absorbed by the thin plate portion. An adverse effect on the ink ejection performance can be suppressed, and a decrease in print quality can be suppressed.
[0008]
An ink jet head according to a second aspect of the present invention is the ink jet head according to the first aspect, wherein the damper flat plate is provided with a concave portion, and the inside of the concave portion serves as the air chamber or the second ink flow path, and the thin plate portion is the damper flat plate. In the present invention, the concave portion is provided so that the thickness is reduced.
[0009]
According to such a configuration, the air chamber and the thin plate portion (or the second ink flow path and the thin plate portion) can be configured as a single plate (damper flat plate). Therefore, the configuration of the second flow path unitfurtherCan be made compact, reducing the number of partsThanEasyRealized init can.
[0010]
An ink jet head according to a third aspect is the ink jet head according to the second aspect, wherein the damper flat plate includes at least a metal flat plate, and the concave portion is provided in the metal flat plate portion.
[0011]
According to such a configuration, the damper flat plate can be manufactured by applying an easy method such as etching as a method of forming the recess.
[0012]
An ink jet head according to a fourth aspect of the present invention is the ink jet head according to the third aspect, wherein the damper flat plate is composed of a laminate of a metal flat plate and a resin flat plate, and the concave portion of the damper flat plate has the metal flat plate portion in the entire thickness direction. The inside of the concave portion is used as the air chamber or the second ink flow path, and the thin plate portion is configured as a resin flat plate portion of the damper flat plate where the concave portion is provided. It is characterized by that.
[0013]
According to such a configuration, the thickness of the thin plate portion can be made constant (= thickness of the resin flat plate) as compared with the configuration in which the damper flat plate is a single metal flat plate and the thin plate portion is provided by half etching. Absorption performance can be stabilized.
[0014]
An ink jet head according to a fifth aspect is the ink jet head according to the fourth aspect, wherein a filter for filtering ink is formed on the resin flat plate portion of the damper flat plate.
[0015]
According to such a configuration, in addition to the thin plate portion, a filter is further built in the damper flat plate, so the second flow path unit can be made compact and the number of parts can be reduced.More reliablyAchievementTo doit can. In addition, since the filter is formed on the resin flat plate portion, an easy method such as excimer laser processing can be used as the filter processing method.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect, the pressure fluctuation generated in the second ink flow path during printing can be absorbed by the thin plate portion of the damper flat plate, so that the stability during ink ejection is improved.
In addition, since the space in which the actuator unit is disposed and the air chamber can be shared, it is easy to make the inkjet head compact and reduce the number of parts.
[0078]
According to the second aspect, the air chamber and the thin plate portion (or the second ink flow path and the thin plate portion) can be configured as a single plate (damper flat plate). Therefore, the configuration of the second flow path unitfurtherCan be made compact, reducing the number of partsThanEasyRealized init can.

According to the third aspect, the damper flat plate can be manufactured by applying an easy method such as etching as a method of forming the recess.
