Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a control device for an internal combustion engine that achieves both an early catalyst warm-up effect by ignition retard control and securing a negative pressure of a brake booster (securing brake braking force).
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, in order to obtain a strong brake braking force with a light depression force of a brake pedal, a vehicle is equipped with a brake booster that uses the intake pipe negative pressure to increase the brake braking force. In this brake booster, when the intake pipe negative pressure, which is a negative pressure source, is insufficient (that is, when the differential pressure between the intake pipe negative pressure and the atmospheric pressure is reduced), the brake braking force amplification effect is reduced, so that the stable brake braking force is achieved. In order to obtain an amplification effect, it is necessary to ensure an appropriate intake pipe negative pressure.
[0003]
Further, in recent automobiles, a catalyst such as a three-way catalyst is mounted on the exhaust pipe in order to purify the exhaust gas. However, this catalyst has a high exhaust gas purification rate unless the temperature is raised to the activation temperature range. Because it is not available, during cold start when the engine or catalyst is cold, the ignition timing is retarded to raise the exhaust temperature, thereby promoting warm-up of the catalyst and early activation of the catalyst. To increase the temperature.
[0004]
However, if the ignition timing is retarded for the early warm-up of the catalyst, the engine torque decreases. Therefore, an ISC valve (or throttle) is used to suppress a decrease in engine torque (engine speed) by the idle rotation control system (ISC). The valve is controlled to increase the intake air amount by increasing the opening degree of the valve. As a result, the intake pipe negative pressure rises, the differential pressure between the intake pipe negative pressure and the atmospheric pressure becomes smaller, and the brake braking force amplification effect of the brake booster becomes smaller.
[0005]
Therefore, as shown in US Pat. No. 5,497,745, the initial value of the ignition timing is set to the target retard timing at the cold start, and the ignition retard control (catalyst early warm-up control) is started, and a predetermined control cycle is performed. Compare the intake manifold negative pressure with the threshold value (the intake manifold negative pressure necessary to ensure proper brake booster negative pressure), and advance the ignition timing when the intake manifold negative pressure is lower than the threshold value. It has been proposed to retard the ignition timing when the intake manifold negative pressure is higher than a threshold value.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the technique of the above-mentioned publication, the initial value of the ignition timing is set to the target retard timing at the beginning of cold start, and the ignition timing is advanced / retarded according to the intake manifold negative pressure therefrom. . However, since the combustion stability of the engine is low at the beginning of the cold start, as shown in the above publication, if the ignition timing is greatly retarded from the start of the start, the combustion state becomes unstable and the unburned gas component ( (HC, CO) emissions increase. Moreover, if the ignition timing is greatly retarded from the beginning of the start, the retard of the ignition timing will cause the intake manifold negative pressure to slow down, so the intake manifold negative pressure will be reduced from the pressure before starting (atmospheric pressure). The time required to drop to the threshold (intake manifold negative pressure necessary to ensure proper brake booster negative pressure) becomes longer. During that time, the brake booster negative pressure cannot be sufficiently ensured. , The ability of the brake booster cannot be fully demonstrated. In short, it is difficult for the technique of the above-mentioned publication to achieve both the negative pressure of the brake booster and the reduction of exhaust emission at the start.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances. Accordingly, the object of the present invention is to provide a control device for an internal combustion engine that can achieve both early securing of a brake booster negative pressure and reduction of exhaust emission at start-up. There is to do.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a control apparatus for an internal combustion engine according to
[0009]
In this configuration, the ignition delay control is not started until a proper brake booster negative pressure can be ensured after the start. Although it may take a little longer to complete the warming up of the catalyst, delaying the start timing of ignition retard control will cause a major cause of emission deterioration during start-up, resulting in unburned gas due to deterioration in combustion at the beginning of start-up. Since the generation of components (HC, CO) can be suppressed, the total amount of emission during the period from start to completion of catalyst warm-up can be reduced. As a result, it is possible to achieve both the early securing of the brake booster negative pressure and the reduction of exhaust emission at the start.
[0011]
Or claims 2 As described above, until the negative pressure determined by the negative pressure determining means falls below a predetermined value, the retarding speed of the ignition timing may be slowed and then the retarding speed may be increased. In this case, the ignition retard control is started from the beginning of the start, but until the negative pressure drops below a predetermined value, the retard speed of the ignition timing is slow and the retard amount is small. The effect on the intake pipe negative pressure is small, the decrease in the intake pipe negative pressure is not too slow, the combustion state is not deteriorated, and the intake pipe negative pressure is quickly reduced while reducing the generation of unburned gas components. Can be made. Then, after the intake pipe negative pressure (or brake booster negative pressure) has decreased to a predetermined value, the retarding speed of the ignition timing increases, so that the catalyst warm-up effect due to the retarding of the ignition timing can be enhanced, and the catalyst Can be raised to the activation temperature range at an early stage, and it is possible to achieve both reduction of exhaust emission at the start and early securing of the brake booster negative pressure. Moreover, in order to start the ignition retard control from the beginning, the
[0013]
[0014]
[0016]
Claims 5 As described above, the control range of the retard amount of the ignition timing according to the negative pressure determined by the negative pressure determination means during the ignition retard control and / or the load of the internal combustion engine (for example, the load of auxiliary equipment such as an air conditioner) ( (Guard value) may be changed. In this way, the retard amount of the ignition timing can be guarded to a desired value according to the intake pipe negative pressure (brake booster negative pressure) and the load of the internal combustion engine, and early securing and starting of the brake booster negative pressure can be achieved. It is possible to achieve both reduction of exhaust emissions at the time.
[0017]
Claims 6 As described above, when a predetermined time has elapsed after starting, if the negative pressure determined by the negative pressure determination means is equal to or less than a predetermined value in the idling state, the ignition timing may be further retarded. In other words, when a predetermined time has elapsed after starting, the brake booster is still in an idling state, and the intake pipe negative pressure (brake booster negative pressure) is sufficiently low, and even if the intake pipe negative pressure rises slightly, it is still a proper brake booster. If negative pressure can be secured, the ignition timing is further retarded to further increase the exhaust temperature. Thereby, the catalyst warm-up time can be shortened while ensuring the brake booster negative pressure.
[0018]
Claims 7 As described above, the negative pressure determination means may be constituted by a pressure sensor that detects the negative pressure of the brake booster, or, 8 As described above, the negative pressure of the brake booster may be estimated based on the operating conditions of the internal combustion engine (for example, intake pipe negative pressure, intake air amount, engine speed, gear position, brake switch, number of brakes, etc.). . Claim 7 As described above, if the negative pressure of the brake booster is directly detected by the pressure sensor, the actual negative pressure of the brake booster can be accurately determined, so that the control accuracy can be improved. Claims 8 Thus, if the negative pressure of the brake booster is estimated based on the operating conditions of the internal combustion engine, the negative pressure of the brake booster can be reduced using the outputs of sensors and switches that are generally provided for engine control. Since it can be estimated, it is not necessary to provide a new pressure sensor, and the demand for cost reduction can be satisfied.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[Embodiment (1)]

[0025]
The ignition timing control program of FIG. 2 maintains the ignition timing at the initial value until a predetermined time kt1 has elapsed from the start, as shown in FIG. 3, when performing the ignition delay control for early warm-up of the catalyst. The ignition timing control is started after a predetermined time kt1 has elapsed from the start without retarding the ignition timing. Here, the predetermined time kt1 is the time from the start until the intake pipe negative pressure Pm (or the brake booster negative pressure) decreases to the predetermined value kpm1 (that is, from the start until the state in which a proper brake booster negative pressure can be secured). Time). The predetermined time kt1 may be measured in advance by simulation or experiment and stored in the ROM of the
[0026]
The ignition timing control program of FIG. 2 is repeatedly executed every predetermined time or every predetermined crank angle, and plays a role as ignition retard control means in the claims. When this program is started, first, at

Then, in the

If it is determined in
[0030]
Thereafter, when the elapsed time after start reaches the predetermined time kt1, the routine proceeds to step 106, where it is determined whether or not the current ignition timing is advanced from the target ignition timing (ignition timing> target ignition timing). If the current ignition timing is advanced from the target ignition timing, the routine proceeds to step 107, where the ignition timing is retarded by a predetermined amount kdel. Thus, after the ignition delay control is started, the ignition timing is retarded by a predetermined amount kdel in the execution cycle of this program until the ignition timing reaches the target ignition timing.
[0031]
Then, after the ignition timing reaches the target ignition timing, it is determined as “No” in
[0032]
Thereafter, when the temperature of the catalyst 31 rises to the activation temperature range, or when any of the ignition retard control execution conditions described above is not satisfied, in
[0033]
In general, the time from when the intake pipe negative pressure Pm (or the brake booster negative pressure) decreases to a predetermined value kpm1 does not change greatly every time the engine is started, and is a substantially constant time.
[0034]
Focusing on this point, in the present embodiment (1), the time from the start to the time when the intake pipe negative pressure Pm decreases to the predetermined value kpm1 is measured in advance by simulation or experiment, and this is used as data of the predetermined time kt1. It is stored in the ROM of the
[0035]
In this configuration, the ignition delay control is not started until a proper brake booster negative pressure can be ensured after the start. Although it may take a little time until the warm-up of the catalyst 31 is completed, by delaying the start timing of the ignition retard control, the unburned state due to the deterioration of combustion at the beginning of the start, which becomes a main factor of the deterioration of the start-up emission Since the generation of gas components (HC, CO) can be suppressed, the total emission amount during the period from the start to the completion of warming up of the catalyst 31 can be reduced. As a result, it is possible to achieve both the early securing of the brake booster negative pressure and the reduction of exhaust emission at the start.
[0036]
[Embodiment (2)]
In the above embodiment (1), the timing at which a proper brake booster negative pressure can be ensured after startup (that is, the ignition retard control start timing) is determined based on the elapsed time after startup, as shown in FIG. In the embodiment (2) of the present invention, it is determined whether or not the intake pipe negative pressure Pm detected by the intake
[0037]
In this embodiment (2), it is confirmed that the intake pipe negative pressure Pm has fallen below the predetermined value kpm1 in order to determine the start timing of the ignition retard control based on the intake pipe negative pressure Pm detected by the intake
[0038]
In a system equipped with a pressure sensor for detecting the brake booster negative pressure, instead of the intake pipe negative pressure Pm, it is determined whether or not the brake booster negative pressure detected by the pressure sensor has dropped below a predetermined value kpm1. Thus, the start timing of the ignition retard control may be determined.
[0039]
Even in a system that does not have a pressure sensor that detects the brake booster negative pressure, braking based on engine operating conditions (for example, intake pipe negative pressure, intake air amount, engine speed, gear position, brake switch, number of brakes, etc.) The negative pressure of the booster 26 may be estimated, and it may be determined whether or not the estimated brake booster negative pressure has dropped below a predetermined value kpm1 to determine the start timing of the ignition delay control.
[0040]
[Embodiment (3)]
In the embodiments (1) and (2), the ignition timing is maintained at the initial value and the ignition timing is not retarded until a proper brake booster negative pressure can be secured after the start. In the embodiment (3) of the present invention shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, the retarded speed of the ignition timing is a period until a predetermined time kt2 elapses from the start (or until the intake pipe negative pressure Pm decreases below a predetermined value kpm1). After that, the delay angle speed is increased.
[0041]
Specifically, in
[0042]
Thereafter, when the elapsed time after the start reaches the predetermined time kt2 (or when the intake pipe negative pressure Pm has dropped below the predetermined value kpm1), the routine proceeds to step 106, where the current ignition timing is advanced from the target ignition timing. Is determined (ignition timing> target ignition timing), and if the current ignition timing is advanced from the target ignition timing, the routine proceeds to step 107a, where the ignition timing is retarded by a second predetermined amount kdel2. . The second predetermined amount kdel2 is set to a value larger than the first predetermined amount kdel1. As a result, after a predetermined time kt2 has elapsed from the start (or after the intake pipe negative pressure Pm has dropped below the predetermined value kpm1), the retarding speed of the ignition timing is increased and the ignition timing is quickly delayed to the target ignition timing. Horn. Other processes are the same as those in the embodiment (1).
[0043]
In the present embodiment (3) described above, the ignition retard control is started from the beginning of the start, but until a predetermined time kt2 has elapsed from the start (or until the intake pipe negative pressure Pm has dropped below the predetermined value kpm1). During the period, since the retarding speed of the ignition timing is slow and the amount of retarding is small, the influence of the retarding of the ignition timing on the intake pipe negative pressure Pm is small, and the decrease in the intake pipe negative pressure Pm is not so slow, The combustion state does not deteriorate. For this reason, the intake pipe negative pressure Pm is quickly increased while reducing the generation of unburned gas components during a period from the start until a predetermined time kt2 elapses (or until the intake pipe negative pressure Pm drops below the predetermined value kpm1). Can be lowered. Then, after a predetermined time kt2 has elapsed from the start (or after the intake pipe negative pressure Pm has dropped below the predetermined value kpm1), the retarding speed of the ignition timing increases, so the catalyst warm-up effect due to the retarding of the ignition timing is reduced. The catalyst 31 can be raised to the activation temperature range at an early stage, and it is possible to achieve both reduction of exhaust emission at the start and early securing of the brake booster negative pressure. Moreover, in the present embodiment (3), since the ignition delay control is started from the beginning of the start, the warm-up of the catalyst 31 is completed from the start as compared with the case of the above-described embodiments (1) and (2). There is also an advantage that the time can be shortened.
[0044]
When the retarding speed of the ignition timing is switched depending on whether the intake pipe negative pressure Pm has fallen below the predetermined value kpm1, the detected value or estimated value of the brake booster negative pressure is used instead of the intake pipe negative pressure Pm. It may be used.
[0045]
[Embodiment (4)]
In the embodiment (4) of the present invention shown in FIG. 7 and FIG. 8, when the ignition delay control for the early catalyst warm-up is performed, the graph is shown in accordance with the intake pipe negative pressure Pm detected by the intake
[0046]
The ignition retard control of the present embodiment (4) is executed by the ignition timing control program of FIG. The program of FIG. 7 omits the process of
[0047]
In the program of FIG. 7, if it is determined in
[0048]
In this way, during the ignition delay control, the retard timing of the ignition timing is set according to the intake pipe negative pressure Pm, and after the ignition timing reaches the target ignition timing, it is determined as “No” in
[0049]
In the present embodiment (4) described above, the ignition delay control is started from the beginning of the start as in the above-described embodiment (3). However, until the intake pipe negative pressure Pm decreases to some extent, the retarding speed of the ignition timing. However, since the retard amount is small, the decrease in the intake pipe negative pressure Pm is not very slow, and the combustion state is not deteriorated. Therefore, the intake pipe negative pressure Pm (brake booster negative pressure) can be quickly reduced while reducing the generation of unburned gas components until the intake pipe negative pressure Pm approaches the appropriate value. As the intake pipe negative pressure Pm decreases, the retard speed of the ignition timing is set so as to gradually increase according to the map of FIG. 8, so that the intake pipe negative pressure Pm (brake booster negative pressure) is close to an appropriate value. By the time it decreases, the retarding speed of the ignition timing is considerably faster. As a result, the catalyst warm-up effect due to the retard of the ignition timing can be enhanced, the catalyst 31 can be raised to the active temperature range at an early stage, exhaust emission reduction during start-up and early securing of the brake booster negative pressure can be ensured. Can be made compatible. In addition, in the present embodiment (4), since the ignition delay control is started from the beginning of the start, the warm-up of the catalyst 31 is completed from the start as compared with the case of the above-described embodiments (1) and (2). There is also an advantage that the time can be shortened.
[0050]
In this embodiment (4), the retarding speed of the ignition timing is set according to the intake pipe negative pressure Pm during the ignition retarding control, but according to the detected value or estimated value of the brake booster negative pressure. A retarding speed of the ignition timing may be set.
[0051]
Further, the ignition timing retard amount (target ignition timing) may be set according to the intake pipe negative pressure Pm (or brake booster negative pressure) during the ignition retard control, and of course, the intake pipe negative pressure Pm. Depending on (or brake booster negative pressure), both the retarding speed and the retarding amount of the ignition timing may be set.
[0052]
Alternatively, the retard amount and / or retard speed of the ignition timing may be set based on the elapsed time after starting during the ignition retard control. That is, desirable behaviors such as ignition timing from start to warm-up of the catalyst 31, intake pipe negative pressure Pm (brake booster negative pressure), catalyst temperature, and the like can be estimated in advance by simulation or experiment. Based on the estimation result, table data or a mathematical expression representing the relationship between the elapsed time after start and the desired retard amount and retard speed of the ignition timing is created and stored in the ROM of the
[0053]
[Embodiment (5)]
In the embodiment (5) of the present invention shown in FIGS. 9 to 11, the ignition timing is retarded based on the integrated value ΣΔPm of the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm detected by the intake
[0054]
In this embodiment (5), as shown in FIG. 11, the target ignition timing is set to the base value at the beginning of the start to start the ignition delay control, and the ignition timing is set to the target ignition timing (base value) at a predetermined cycle. The target is retarded by a predetermined amount kdel1. The difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm and the predetermined value kpm3 is integrated in a predetermined cycle during the period from the start until the predetermined time kt3 elapses (however, it is integrated only when Pm ≦ kpm3).
[0055]
Thereafter, when the predetermined time kt3 has elapsed from the start, it is determined whether or not the integrated value ΣΔPm of the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm and the predetermined value kpm3 is equal to or less than a predetermined value. If so, it is determined that the negative pressure of the brake booster is insufficient, and the target ignition timing is advanced by a predetermined advance correction amount (target ignition timing = base value + advance correction amount). Thereafter, the ignition timing is advanced by a predetermined amount kdel2 in a predetermined cycle toward the target ignition timing after the advance angle correction. As a result, the intake pipe negative pressure Pm is reduced to ensure an appropriate brake booster negative pressure promptly.
[0056]
The ignition timing control of the present embodiment (5) described above is executed by the ignition timing control program of FIG. 9 and FIG. This program is repeatedly executed every predetermined time or every predetermined crank angle. First, in
[0057]
Then, in the
[0058]
Thereafter, when the start-up is completed, the process proceeds from
[0059]
On the other hand, if it is determined in
[0060]
Thereafter, the process proceeds to step 211, where it is determined whether or not the current ignition timing is advanced from the target ignition timing (base value) (ignition timing> target ignition timing), and the current ignition timing is greater than the target ignition timing. If it is advanced, the routine proceeds to step 212, where the ignition timing is retarded by a predetermined amount kdel1. Thus, the ignition timing is retarded by a predetermined amount kdel1 in the execution cycle of this program until the ignition timing reaches the target ignition timing.
[0061]
Then, after the ignition timing reaches the target ignition timing, it is determined as “No” in
[0062]
Thereafter, when the elapsed time after the start reaches the predetermined time kt3, it is determined as “No” in
[0063]
If the target ignition timing has been corrected in
[0064]
Thereafter, the process proceeds to step 216, in which it is determined whether or not the current ignition timing is retarded from the target ignition timing after the advance correction (ignition timing <target ignition timing). If it is retarded more, the routine proceeds to step 217, where the ignition timing is advanced by a predetermined amount kdel2. Thus, the ignition timing is advanced by a predetermined amount kdel2 in the execution cycle of this program until the ignition timing reaches the target ignition timing after the advance correction.
[0065]
After the ignition timing reaches the target ignition timing after the advance angle correction, it is determined “No” in
[0066]
When it is determined in
[0067]
In the present embodiment (5) described above, when the integrated value ΣΔPm of the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm and the predetermined value kpm3 is small, it is determined that the brake booster negative pressure is insufficiently secured and ignition is performed. Since the timing is corrected to advance, the intake pipe negative pressure Pm can be quickly reduced to ensure an appropriate brake booster negative pressure.
[0068]
When the integrated value ΣΔPm of the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm and the predetermined value kpm3 is large, it is determined that the brake booster negative pressure is sufficiently secured, and the ignition timing is set within a range that does not deteriorate the combustibility. The retardation may be corrected. In this way, the catalyst early warm-up effect due to the retard of the ignition timing can be enhanced, and the catalyst warm-up time can be shortened.
[0069]
Further, instead of the integrated value ΣΔPm of the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm and the predetermined value kpm3, the maximum value of the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm and the predetermined value kpm3 is detected, and the maximum value of the difference ΔPm is detected. The ignition timing retardation amount (target ignition timing) may be set based on the above.
[0070]
Further, instead of the integrated value ΣΔPm of the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm and the predetermined value kpm3, an integrated value of the difference between the brake booster negative pressure (detected value or estimated value) and the predetermined value may be used. . Further, the retarding speed may be changed according to the integrated value.
[0071]
[Embodiment (6)]
In the embodiment (6) of the present invention shown in FIGS. 12 to 14, the integrated value ΣΔPm of the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm detected by the intake
[0072]
In the example of FIG. 14, ΣΔPm1 is compared with a predetermined value at the first determination timing t1, ΣΔPm1 + ΣΔPm2 is compared with a predetermined value at the second determination timing t2, and ΣΔPm1 + ΣΔPm2 + ΣΔPm3 is set to a predetermined value at the third determination timing t3. Compare with As a result, the target ignition timing is corrected to advance at the first determination timing t1, the target ignition timing is corrected to be retarded at the second determination timing t2, and the target ignition timing is advanced at the third determination timing t3. Correct the angle.
[0073]
The ignition timing control of the present embodiment (6) described above is executed by the ignition timing control program of FIGS. This program is repeatedly executed every predetermined time or every predetermined crank angle. First, in
[0074]
Thereafter, when the start-up is completed, the routine proceeds from
[0075]
On the other hand, if it is determined in
[0076]
Then, after the intake pipe negative pressure Pm drops below the predetermined value kpm3 from the start, the routine proceeds from
[0077]
Thereafter, the routine proceeds to step 315, where the retard flag is set to “1” which means that the retard of the target ignition timing has been corrected, and the ignition timing is retarded by a predetermined amount kdel1 (
[0078]
After the target ignition timing retardation correction, until the next determination timing, it is determined as “No” in
[0079]
Then, after the ignition timing reaches the target ignition timing after the retardation correction, it is determined “No” in

[0081]
Thereafter, the process proceeds to step 316, the retard flag is set to “0” which means that the advance of the target ignition timing has been corrected, and the ignition timing is advanced by a predetermined amount kdel2 (
[0082]
After the advance of the target ignition timing is corrected, “No” is determined in
[0083]
Then, after the ignition timing reaches the target ignition timing after the advance correction, it is determined “No” in
[0084]
In the present embodiment (6) described above, when the integrated value ΣΔPm of the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm and the predetermined value kpm3 is smaller than the predetermined value, it is determined that the brake booster negative pressure is insufficiently secured. If the integrated value ΣΔPm is greater than or equal to a predetermined value, it is determined that the brake booster negative pressure is sufficiently secured, and the ignition timing is adjusted. Since the exhaust gas temperature is raised by correcting the retard, the catalyst warm-up time can be shortened while ensuring the brake booster negative pressure.
[0085]
Instead of the integrated value ΣΔPm of the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm and the predetermined value kpm3, an integrated value of the difference between the brake booster negative pressure (detected value or estimated value) and the predetermined value may be used. . Further, the retarding speed may be changed according to the integrated value.
[0086]
[Embodiment (7)]
In the embodiment (7) of the present invention shown in FIGS. 15 to 17, the intake pipe negative pressure Pm detected by the intake
[0087]
Further, the characteristic of the target ignition timing correction map of FIG. 17 indicates that when ΔPm is in a negative value range, it is determined that the brake booster negative pressure is not sufficiently secured, and the larger | ΔPm | The correction amount to the corner side is increased to lower the intake pipe negative pressure Pm. If ΔPm is a positive value and is less than or equal to a predetermined value, it is determined that an appropriate brake booster negative pressure is secured, and the target ignition timing is not corrected. Further, if ΔPm is a positive value and is larger than the predetermined value, the intake pipe negative pressure Pm (brake booster negative pressure) decreases too much, and even if the intake pipe negative pressure Pm slightly increases, the brake brake booster negative pressure is still appropriate. Therefore, as ΔPm increases, the correction amount to the retard side of the target ignition timing is increased to enhance the catalyst warm-up effect.
[0088]
The ignition timing control described above is executed by the ignition timing control program shown in FIGS. The processing of
[0089]
In the present embodiment (7), when the execution condition of the ignition retard control for early catalyst warm-up is satisfied, the process proceeds to step 331, where it is determined whether or not it is a determination timing. Then, the difference ΔPm (= kpm3−Pm) between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm detected by the intake
[0090]
Thereafter, the process proceeds to step 335, where it is determined whether or not the current ignition timing is advanced from the target ignition timing (ignition timing> target ignition timing), and the current ignition timing is advanced from the target ignition timing. If so, the routine proceeds to step 336, where the ignition timing is retarded by a predetermined amount kdel3. Thus, the ignition timing is retarded by a predetermined amount kdel3 in the execution cycle of this program until the ignition timing reaches the target ignition timing.
[0091]
On the other hand, if it is determined in
[0092]
On the other hand, if it is determined as “No” in
[0093]
In the present embodiment (7) described above, the target ignition timing is corrected according to the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm and the predetermined value kpm3, so that an appropriate brake booster negative pressure can be secured. The target ignition timing can be advanced, and the catalyst warm-up time can be shortened while ensuring the brake booster negative pressure.
[0094]
Instead of the difference ΔPm between the intake pipe negative pressure Pm and the predetermined value kpm3, the difference between the brake booster negative pressure (detected value or estimated value) and the predetermined value may be used. Further, the retarding speed may be changed according to the difference.
[0095]
Alternatively, the target ignition timing correction amount may be calculated according to the intake pipe negative pressure Pm (or brake booster negative pressure), and the previous target ignition timing may be corrected based on the correction amount.
[0096]
[Embodiment (8)]
In the embodiment (8) of the present invention shown in FIGS. 18 and 19, the intake pipe negative pressure Pm detected by the intake
[0097]
In the present embodiment (8) described above, even if the process of correcting the target ignition timing using the map A from the start is repeated a predetermined number of times, if the intake pipe negative pressure Pm still does not fall below the predetermined value kpm3, Switching to Map B and increasing the advance correction amount of the target ignition timing makes it difficult for the intake pipe negative pressure Pm (brake booster negative pressure) to drop to an appropriate value for some reason. Even in this case, by switching to the map B, the intake pipe negative pressure Pm (brake booster negative pressure) can be quickly reduced to an appropriate value.
[0098]
In place of the map B in FIG. 19, the correction amount of the map A may be multiplied by an increase coefficient (> 1), or a predetermined amount may be added to the correction amount of the map A.
[0099]
[Embodiment (9)]
In the embodiment (9) of the present invention shown in FIG. 20 to FIG. 22, the retard side guard value of the ignition timing control range according to the map of FIG. 22 according to the intake pipe negative pressure Pm detected by the intake
[0100]
The ignition timing control of the present embodiment (9) described above is executed by the ignition timing control program of FIG. This program is repeatedly executed every predetermined time or every predetermined crank angle. The processing of steps 101-104, 108, 109 is the same as steps 101-104, 108, 109 of the program of FIG. 2 executed in the embodiment (1).
[0101]
After starting, if it is determined in
[0102]
Thereafter, the routine proceeds to step 111, where the retard side guard value is calculated from the map of FIG. 22 based on the intake pipe negative pressure Pm detected by the intake
[0103]
In the present embodiment (9) described above, since the retard side guard value is calculated according to the intake pipe negative pressure Pm, the ignition timing is delayed according to the intake pipe negative pressure Pm (brake booster negative pressure). The angular amount can be guarded to a desired value, and both early securing of the brake booster negative pressure and reduction of exhaust emission at the start can be achieved.
[0104]
The retard side guard value may be calculated based on the brake booster negative pressure (detected value or estimated value) instead of the intake pipe negative pressure Pm.
In addition, as shown in FIG. 21, paying attention to the fact that the intake pipe negative pressure Pm increases when the load of auxiliary equipment such as an air conditioner increases, it depends on the load (engine load) of the auxiliary equipment such as air conditioner Thus, the retard angle side guard value may be calculated.
[0105]
[Embodiment (10)]
In the embodiment (10) of the present invention shown in FIG. 23 and FIG. 24, normal ignition delay control for early catalyst warm-up is executed until a predetermined time has elapsed from the start, and after a predetermined time has elapsed since the start. If the engine operating state is an idle state, the ignition timing is retarded or advanced so that the intake pipe negative pressure Pm falls within the range between the upper guard value and the lower guard value. Here, the upper limit guard value and the lower limit guard value correspond to the upper limit value and the lower limit value of the range of the intake pipe negative pressure Pm that can ensure an appropriate brake booster negative pressure, and are set in advance by simulation or experiment. Further, the ignition delay control that is performed until a predetermined time elapses from the start may use either the conventional ignition delay control or the ignition delay control of each of the above embodiments.
[0106]
The ignition timing control of the present embodiment (10) is executed by the ignition timing control program of FIG. This program is repeatedly executed every predetermined time or every predetermined crank angle. When this program is started, first, in
[0107]
Thereafter, when a predetermined time has elapsed from the start, the routine proceeds to step 403, where it is determined whether or not the engine operating state is an idle state. If not, the routine proceeds to step 402 where normal ignition delay control is performed. To do. However, if the ignition retard control execution condition is not satisfied, the ignition retard control is not performed.
[0108]
On the other hand, if the engine operating state is in an idle state after a predetermined time has elapsed from the start, the routine proceeds to step 404, where it is determined whether the intake pipe negative pressure Pm detected by the intake
[0109]
On the other hand, if it is determined in
If the intake pipe negative pressure Pm is within the range between the upper limit guard value and the lower limit guard value, the routine proceeds to step 408, where the ignition timing is maintained at the previous ignition timing.
[0110]
In the present embodiment (10) described above, after a predetermined time has elapsed from the start, if the engine operating state is in an idle state, the intake pipe negative pressure Pm is within the range between the upper limit guard value and the lower limit guard value. Since the ignition timing is retarded or advanced, the retard amount of the ignition timing can be reduced within the range where the brake booster negative pressure can be secured, and the catalyst warm-up can be performed while ensuring the brake booster negative pressure. Time can be shortened.
[0111]
It should be noted that the brake booster negative pressure (detected value or estimated value) is used instead of the intake pipe negative pressure Pm, and the ignition timing is delayed so that the brake booster negative pressure falls within the range between the upper guard value and the lower guard value. You may make it make an angle or advance.
Each embodiment (19- (10)) demonstrated above is applicable not only to a cylinder injection engine but to an intake port injection engine.
