Description
Claims (29)
- 電磁エネルギの送信バーストのシーケンスを送信してセンサ・フィールドを生成する送信機であって、前記バーストのシーケンスはバースト繰返しレートを有するとともに、各バーストはバースト幅を有しかつ送信機周波数の多数の周期を有し、ゲート制御RF発振器に直接接続された送信機と、
前記送信機周波数で電磁エネルギを受信する受信機であって、送信されたバーストをその送信されたバーストの反射波と混合して中間周波数信号を生成するミキサを有し、その結果、前記バースト幅によりセンサレンジが決まるように構成され、前記ミキサが、FM中間発振器によって同期される同期レクティファイヤに接続されているところの受信機と、
前記受信機に結合され且つ前記中間周波数信号に応答する回路であって、前記センサフィールドの外乱を指示する回路と、を備えたセンサ。 - 前記送信機に結合し、かつ前記中間周波数で送信バーストのシーケンスを変調する回路を有する請求項1記載のセンサ。
- 前記バーストのシーケンスは前記バースト繰返しレート以下のレートで変調されている請求項2記載のセンサ。
- 前記バーストのシーケンスは、前記送信機周波数を前記中間周波数における第1の周波数と第2の周波数との間で変更することにより変調されるとともに、前記中間周波数は前記バースト繰返しレート以下の値である請求項2記載のセンサ。
- 前記バーストは開始点と終了点を有し、かつほぼ前記開始点の周期とほぼ前記終了点の周期との間で相対的な位相シフトを有するとともに、前記第1の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトは、前記第2の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトとは前記センサレンジで360度未満の値だけ異なるようにした請求項4記載のセンサ。
- 前記第1の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトは、前記第2の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトとは特定のセンサレンジで約180度だけ異なるようにした請求項5記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機に結合し、かつ前記バースト幅の調整用の回路を有する請求項1記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機に結合し、かつ前記バースト繰返しレートを変調するバーストレート変調回路を有する請求項1記載のセンサ。
- 前記バースト繰返しレートは前記送信機周波数未満の値であるとともに、前記バーストレート変調回路は、前記バーストシーケンスのバーストが変化位相を持つように前記バースト繰返しレートを変調する請求項8記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機周波数はギガヘルツのオーダであるとともに、前記バースト繰返しレートはメガヘルツのオーダである請求項9記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機および受信機は単一のアンテナを共有する請求項1記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機は送信アンテナを有するとともに、前記受信機は受信アンテナを有し、前記送信アンテナおよび受信アンテナは、前記送信バーストが前記受信アンテナに近接結合して反射波に混合するように取り付けてある請求項1記載のセンサ。
- 電磁エネルギの送信バーストのシーケンスを送信する変調送信機であって、前記送信バーストのシーケンスはバースト繰返しレートを有し、各バーストはバースト幅を有しかつ送信機周波数の多数の周期を持ち、前記バーストのシーケンスは中間周波数で変調されるように構成され、ゲート制御RF発振器に直接接続された変調送信機と、
前記送信機周波数の電磁エネルギを受信する受信機であって、送信されたバーストをその同一の送信されたバーストの反射波と混合して中間周波数信号を生成するミキサを有し、その結果、前記バースト幅によりそのバースト幅の約半分のセンサレンジが決まるように構成され、前記ミキサが、FM発振器によって同期される同期レクティファイヤに接続されているところの受信機と、
前記受信機に結合され且つ前記中間周波数信号に応答する回路であって、前記センサレンジ内での動きを指示する回路と、を備えたセンサ。 - 前記バーストのシーケンスは前記バースト繰返しレート以下のレートで周波数変調されている請求項13記載のセンサ。
- 前記バーストのシーケンスは、前記送信機周波数を前記中間周波数における第1の周波数と第2の周波数との間で変更することにより変調される請求項13記載のセンサ。
- 前記バーストは開始点と終了点を有し、かつほぼ前記開始点の周期とほぼ前記終了点の周期との間で相対的な位相シフトを有するとともに、前記第1の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトは、前記第2の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトとは前記センサレンジで360度未満の値だけ異なるようにした請求項15記載のセンサ。
- 前記第1の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトは、前記第2の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトとは特定のセンサレンジで約180度だけ異なるようにした請求項16記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機に結合し、かつ前記バースト繰返しレートを変調するバーストレート変調回路を有する請求項13記載のセンサ。
- 前記バースト繰返しレートは前記送信機周波数未満の値であるとともに、前記バーストレート変調回路は、前記バーストシーケンスのバーストが変化位相を持つように前記バースト繰返しレートを変調する請求項18記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機周波数はギガヘルツのオーダであるとともに、前記バースト繰返しレートはメガヘルツのオーダである請求項19記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機および受信機は単一のアンテナを共有する請求項13記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機は送信アンテナを有するとともに、前記受信機は受信アンテナを有し、前記送信アンテナおよび受信アンテナは、前記送信バーストが前記受信アンテナに近接結合して反射波に混合するように取り付けてある請求項13記載のセンサ。
- センサフィールドを生成する電磁エネルギの送信バーストのシーケンスを送信する送信機であって、前記送信バーストのシーケンスはランダムに又は疑似的ランダムに変調されたバースト繰返しレートを有し、各バーストはバースト幅を有しかつ送信機周波数の多数の周期を有し、ゲート制御RF発振器に直接接続された送信機と、
前記送信機に結合され、且つ中間周波数における少なくとも第1の周波数と第2の周波数との間で前記送信機周波数を切り換える周波数変調回路と、
前記送信機周波数の電磁エネルギを受信する受信機であって、送信されたバーストをその送信されたバーストの反射波と混合して中間周波数信号を生成するミキサを有し、その結果、前記バースト幅によりセンサレンジが決まるように構成され、前記ミキサが、FM中間発振器によって同期される同期レクティファイヤに接続されているところの受信機と、
前記受信機に結合され且つ前記中間周波数信号に応答する回路であって、前記センサフィールドの外乱を指示する回路と、を備えたセンサ。 - 前記バーストは開始点と終了点を有し、かつほぼ前記開始点の周期とほぼ前記終了点の周期との間で相対的な位相シフトを有するとともに、前記第1の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトは、前記第2の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトとは前記センサレンジで360度未満の値だけ異なるようにした請求項23記載のセンサ。
- 前記第1の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトは、前記第2の周波数における前記バースト幅についての前記相対的な位相シフトとは特定のセンサレンジで約180度だけ異なるようにした請求項24記載のセンサ。
- 前記バースト繰返しレートは、前記送信機周波数未満の値であり、かつ、前記バーストシーケンスのバーストが変化位相を持つように変調されている請求項23記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機周波数はギガヘルツのオーダであり、前記バースト繰返しレートはメガヘルツのオーダであり、前記中間周波数はキロヘルツのオーダである請求項26記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機および受信機は単一のアンテナを共有する請求項23記載のセンサ。
- 前記送信機は送信アンテナを有するとともに、前記受信機は受信アンテナを有し、前記送信アンテナおよび受信アンテナは、前記送信バーストが前記受信アンテナに近接結合して反射波に混合するように取り付けてある請求項23記載のセンサ。
