Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a softener composition.
[0002]
[Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention]
Most of the products marketed as fabric softeners are compositions containing a quaternary ammonium salt having two long-chain alkyl groups in one molecule represented by di (long-chain alkyl) dimethylammonium chloride. is there.
[0003]
However, the quaternary ammonium salt has a problem that most of the quaternary ammonium salt accumulates without being biodegraded when it is released into nature such as a river. As an improved product of such problems, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-268773 proposes a softening agent composition containing a fatty acid ester such as glycerin or diglycerin and a mono long chain alkyl amine. However, when this composition is stored for a long period of time, it may be separated at a particularly high temperature, which is not satisfactory as a household softener composition.
[0004]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a softener composition that is excellent in flexibility, biodegradability, and long-term storage stability at high temperatures.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention contains the following components (A), (B) and (C), and the weight ratio of the components (A) and (B) is (A) / (B) = 1/3 to 3/1. And a softener composition having a content of the component (C) of 0.1 to 10% by weight.
(A) Glycerin ester of fatty acids having 8 to 22 carbon atoms
(B) Amidoamine represented by general formula (I), ester amine represented by general formula (II) or a salt thereof
[Chemical 2]

[0007]
(In the formula, R represents a residue obtained by removing a carboxyl group from a fatty acid having 8 to 22 carbon atoms.) (C) Nonionic surfactant
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The component (A) of the present invention can be obtained by reacting glycerin with a fatty acid having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, a lower alkyl ester thereof, or an oil. Examples of fatty acids include caprylic acid, capric acid, lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, coconut oil fatty acid, palm fatty acid, beef tallow fatty acid, hardened beef tallow fatty acid, rapeseed fatty acid and mixtures thereof.
[0009]
The degree of esterification of glycerin (the number of moles of fatty acid bonded to 1 mol of glycerin) is in the range of 1.0 to 2.5, showing good softening performance, more preferably 1.0 to 1.9, and even more preferably 1.25 to 1.8.
[0010]
Among the components (B) of the present invention, the amidoamine represented by the general formula (I) is obtained by reacting N, N-dimethylaminopropylamine with a fatty acid having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, a lower alkyl ester thereof or an oil or fat. be able to. Examples of the fatty acid include those similar to those described above, such as caprylic acid.
The ester amine represented by the general formula (II) can be obtained by a reaction of N, N-dimethylaminoethanol with a fatty acid having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, a lower alkyl ester thereof, or an oil. Examples of the fatty acid include those similar to those described above, such as caprylic acid.
Component (B) can be used alone or in admixture of two or more, but amidoamines represented by general formula (I) are preferred.
[0011]
The component (B) of the present invention is preferably used by neutralizing part or all of the amine represented by the general formula (I) or (II) with an acid. As the acid, one or more selected from mineral acids such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, organic acids such as acetic acid, glycolic acid, citric acid and lactic acid are used, and hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid are particularly preferable. Neutralization is preferably carried out using 0.9 to 1.5 equivalents of acid to the amine from the viewpoints of softness and stability of the glycerin ester of fatty acid (A).
[0012]
In the present invention, the weight ratio of the component (A) to the component (B) is in the range of (A) / (B) = 1/3 to 3/1, and shows good flexibility performance, and further 2/3 to 3/2. Is preferred. The total content of the component (A) and the component (B) in the composition of the present invention is preferably 3 to 40% by weight, more preferably 4 to 30% by weight, and particularly preferably 5 to 20% by weight.
[0013]
The preferred nonionic surfactant of the component (C) of the present invention is one obtained by adding an average of 8 to 100 moles of ethylene oxide to 1 mole of an aliphatic alcohol having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, particularly 12 to 60 moles. Those added with ethylene oxide are preferred. The content of the component (C) in the composition of the present invention is 0.1 to 10% by weight, preferably 0.1 to 7% by weight, from the viewpoint of improving the stability of the soft finish at high temperature.
[0014]
The softener composition of the present invention is prepared by, for example, mixing a melt or concentrated liquid of the component (A), the component (B) and the component (C) with stirring or shear mixing into an aqueous solution containing a neutralizing agent (acid). It can be obtained by slowly adding. Moreover, it can obtain also by methods, such as manufacturing a neutralized material previously or adding a neutralizing agent afterwards.
[0015]
The softener composition of the present invention is further modified with dimethylpolysiloxane, silicone compounds such as dimethylpolysiloxane partially modified with amino groups or polyoxyalkylene groups, particularly preferably partially modified with polyoxyalkylene groups. By adding dimethylpolysiloxane, the touch of the soft-treated clothes can be improved without impairing the water absorption. These silicone compounds are preferably blended in an amount of 0.3 to 5% by weight based on the total weight of the component (A) and the component (B).
[0016]
The softener composition of the present invention is highly stable against long-term storage, but for further stabilization under severe storage conditions, solvents such as ethanol, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerin, urea, etc. Can be blended. Moreover, you may use together known ester, a cation compound, a long chain fatty acid, etc. as a soft base. It is also possible to add pigments or dyes for the appearance of the product, fluorescent brighteners for the whiteness of the finished product, and fragrances to improve the taste during and after use.
[0017]
【The invention's effect】
The softener composition of the present invention gives sufficient flexibility to various fibers, the product has good storage stability at high temperatures, and is excellent in biodegradability.
[0018]
