Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a cooling device in which a heat pipe and a blower fan are used.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Various electronic elements built in electronic devices such as computers have unavoidable internal resistance, so they generate heat when operated by energization, and as a result, their operation becomes unstable when the temperature rises above a certain level. Finally, malfunction will occur. For this reason, various devices for cooling electronic devices have been developed. For example, a device that directly attaches a heat sink to the electronic device to increase the heat dissipation area, a device that attaches a microfan to the heat sink and performs forced air cooling, etc. have been developed. Has been.
[0003]
These cooling devices have a structure that prevents an overheating of the electronic element by increasing a heat radiation amount from the electronic element by increasing a substantial heat radiation area of the electronic element by a heat sink. Therefore, the air used for cooling is limited to the air around the electronic element. Therefore, when the internal volume of the housing in which the electronic element is accommodated is small, the internal temperature gradually rises, and there is a situation where the electronic element cannot be sufficiently cooled.
[0004]
A typical example is a small-sized data processing device such as a notebook personal computer. This type of device uses a housing with a small volume as much as possible with emphasis on portability and transportability. The space around the element is extremely limited. Therefore, if the heat is dissipated around the electronic element, sufficient cooling cannot be performed due to the small heat capacity of the air in the housing. In other words, usable electronic elements are limited by the cooling capacity of the cooling device.
[0005]
Therefore, conventionally, a cooling device has been developed that cools an electronic element by dissipating heat to the outside air at a location away from a heating element such as an electronic element. In this type of cooling device, since the electronic element that is the object to be cooled and the heat radiating part are separated from each other, it is necessary to efficiently transfer heat between them. For this purpose, a heating element is brought into contact with a heat transfer plate having high thermal conductivity such as aluminum, and a heat sink is attached to the other part of the heat transfer plate. Moreover, in order to assist the heat conduction by the heat transfer plate, a heat pipe is arranged along the heat transfer plate.
[0006]
The heat pipe encloses a condensable fluid such as water or alcohol as a working fluid in a sealed container (container), evaporates the working fluid by external heat input, It is a heat transfer device configured to flow to a low-pressure part, to dissipate heat and to condense, and to recirculate the liquefied working fluid to a portion where evaporation occurs by capillary pressure or the like. Various types of containers can be used as needed. For example, a heat pipe forms a space part sealed by a hollow plate-shaped container, and non-condensable gas such as air is introduced into the space part. A condensable fluid is sealed as a working fluid in a deaerated state. This type of heat pipe has an advantage that a contact area with a heat exchange object is widened, and as a result, heat transfer performance or heat exchange performance can be improved.
[0007]
In the case of the cooling device using the heat pipe as described above, the heat generated in the electronic element is transferred to the heat pipe having excellent heat transport capability through the heat transfer plate and carried to the heat dissipation mechanism. Since the heat is dissipated to a place away from the electronic element, the temperature rise of the electronic element can be suppressed.
[0008]
As an example of further improving the cooling efficiency of the cooling device as described above, there is a cooling device having a structure in which fins are provided in a heat pipe and a portion where the fins are provided is arranged along a fan outlet. If it is a cooling device of such a structure, since the heat radiation area can be increased by the fins, the cooling efficiency can be further improved.
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, recently, since the performance of electronic devices such as computers has been significantly improved, the performance of electronic devices has also improved, and the amount of heat generated by electronic devices has increased accordingly. For this reason, it has been desired to further improve the cooling efficiency of the cooling device.
[0010]
The present invention has been made against the background described above, and an object of the present invention is to provide a cooling device for an electronic element with good cooling efficiency.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Invention and Action]
In order to achieve the above object, the invention of claim 1 is directed to a cooling device for an electronic element that is thermally transported by a heat pipe and forcedly cooled by blowing air from a fan. A plurality of blowing portions are formed, and at least one heat pipe is provided corresponding to each blowing portion, and one end edge of each heat pipe is disposed so as to face the blowing portion. , At least a part of the peripheral edge of the other end of each of the heat pipes is connected to form a heat input part that comes into contact with the electronic device, and the fan and the heat pipe are connected to a frame and integrated. In addition, the electronic device cooling apparatus is characterized in that the heat pipe is formed in a flat shape .
[0012]
Therefore, according to invention of Claim 1, the heat-input part of a cooling device is formed by connecting the edge part periphery of each heat pipe. An electronic element is attached to the heat input part. Therefore, heat generated by passing electric electronic element is transmitted to the heat input section. When heat is transmitted to the heat input section, the working fluid inside each heat pipe evaporates, and the vapor flows to the heat radiating section on the periphery of the other end of each heat pipe having a low temperature and pressure. And the heat | fever which a working fluid has is thermally radiated by the ventilation from the several blowing part of the fan which has opposed this each thermal radiation part. Therefore, the heat generated in the electronic element is distributed to each heat radiating portion of the plurality of heat pipes, and then forcibly cooled by blowing air from each blowing portion of the fan.
[0014]
Therefore, according to invention of Claim 1, in addition to said effect | action, the said fan and each said heat pipe are connected with the flame | frame, and it forms integrally. Therefore, the heat radiating part of each heat pipe and the blowing part of the fan are fixed by the frame. Further, the peripheral edges of one end of each heat pipe are connected by a frame to form a heat input portion.

Therefore, according to the invention of

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, the heat generated in the electronic element can be distributed to the heat radiating portions of the plurality of heat pipes. Therefore, the heat dissipation area can be increased. As a result, the heat generated in the electronic element can be efficiently radiated. Furthermore, each heat radiating part can be forcibly cooled by blowing air from each outlet of the fan.
