従来、エアーバッグ装置を備える車輌用シートにおいては、トリムカバーの一般部を通常用いられる強度の縫い糸から縫い合わせる以外に、エアーバッグ装置の装備側を被包するトリムカバーの前面側と側面側との端末間を相対的に強度の弱い縫い糸から縫い合わせ、その強度の弱い縫い糸による縫い目からインフレータの出力によるエアーバッグの膨張圧で切開する破断部を形成するものが提案されている(特開平8−216820号)。
