Description
【0001】
【0018】
請求項2の発明は、請求項1の前記合成手段が、Y、M、C、Kの4色毎の印刷条件補正データIy(Y)、Im(M)、Ic(C)、Ik(K)、標準色変換データSMy(Y、M、C、K)、SMm(Y、M、C、K)、SMc(Y、M、C、K)、SMk(Y、M、C、K)、及びプリンタ条件補正データPy(Y)、Pm(M)、Pc(C)、Pk(K)を合成した下記の関数式で表される変換を行うための合成LUTを生成することを特徴とする。
Y’=Py(SMy(Iy(Y)、M、C、K))
M’=Pm(SMm(Y、Im(M)、C、K))
C’=Pc(SMc(Y、M、Ic(C)、K))
K’=Pk(SMk(Y、M、C、Ik(K)))
【0019】
TY = Py (Y)
TM = Pm (M)
TC = Pc (C)
TK = Pk (K)

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a color correction device that performs color correction of an input / output device connected to a color image input / output system, such as a color printer, a color printer, a color copying machine, a color facsimile machine, and a color display.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as a color correction device that performs color correction to an input / output color expression value unique to an input / output device connected to an input / output system of a color image such as a color printer, a color printer, a color copying machine, a color facsimile, a color display, There were the following.
[0003]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. Hei 6-296231 discloses a CMY value or a CMYK value by using a lookup table method with interpolation, such as an L * a * b value or an L * u * v value, which does not depend on input / output device characteristics. In such an apparatus for converting to a color representation for an input / output device, a technique for performing so-called affine transformation on a color representation that does not depend on the characteristics of the input / output device is disclosed before the lookup table search.
[0004]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 6-334853 discloses a model of an input / output device connected to an input / output system, sets a color correction table corresponding to the model in a memory, and outputs input color image data. A technique for executing color correction based on the color correction table is disclosed. According to this technique, variations in input signals and print output densities among models can be corrected with high accuracy.
[0005]
Further, in a color printing machine using a conventional rotary press or the like, a color printed matter is created by a so-called halftone dot image. Before creating this color printed matter, a color printing proof image ( Color printing proofs) are created in advance, and color printing is proofread based on the images. By using this color printer, it is not necessary to prepare a plate-making film, a printing plate (PS plate), etc. for a color printing machine at the time of calibration, and the calibration work can be greatly improved in efficiency.
[0006]
By the way, before creating a color printing proof image for proofreading, it is necessary to correct in advance a density difference from a color printed matter of a print output derived from printer conditions such as machine differences of color printers and changes over time. (Referred to as calibration adjustment).
[0007]
For example, as shown in FIG. 12A, even a printer designed so that the relationship between the output density and the printer signal input to the output unit is an
[0008]
Therefore, for example, the printer signal P is converted into the signal P ′ by the
[0009]
In this calibration adjustment, halftone dot area ratio data (also referred to as halftone data) of four plates for each color of C (cyan), M (magenta), Y (yellow), and K (black) is used as a color printer. After conversion with the 4D (four-dimensional) conversion table for color correction built in the printer, the data converted with the 1D (one-dimensional) conversion table for calibration is printed out, and a calibration chart (color patch) as a reference ) To adjust the calibration 1D conversion table. That is, the image data is converted using at least a two-stage table.
[0010]
Actually, in a color printer for color calibration, considering the difference in printing conditions (for example, the type of printing paper and the type of printing ink) related to the color printing machine, the printing conditions are corrected as shown in FIG. In addition to the above two tables, the printing condition correction 1D conversion table for correcting the color is corrected by a three-stage table.
[0011]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the technique disclosed in the conventional Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. Hei 6-296231, color conversion is performed in two stages, that is, conversion using a look-up table and affine conversion. A problem arises in that the preparation of the stepped table makes the apparatus complicated.
[0012]
Further, in the technique disclosed in the above-mentioned conventional Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-334853, variation in output density and the like depending on the type of input / output device is improved, but other conditions such as printing conditions are taken into consideration at the same time. When color correction is performed using a one-stage color correction table, a color correction table must be prepared for each combination of different types of conditions, which causes a problem that a very large memory is required.
[0013]
In addition, the color printer as the conventional color printing proof image creating apparatus performs color correction in three stages of the color correction 4D conversion table, the calibration 1D conversion table, and the printing condition correction table. There arises a problem that the processing speed is lowered and the apparatus becomes complicated by preparing a three-stage table.
[0014]
In view of the above facts, an object of the present invention is to provide a color correction device having a simple configuration that performs color correction calculation at high speed and with high accuracy.
[0015]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the invention of claim 1Perform one-dimensional conversion to convert each color of Y, M, C, K one by onePrinting condition correction data for correcting image data according to the printing conditions at the time of printing,Perform one-dimensional conversion to convert each color of Y, M, C, K one by onePrinter condition correction data for color correction in accordance with at least one printer condition of a printer difference, an environment in which the printer is placed, and a change over time; andPerform four-dimensional conversion to convert all colors of Y, M, C, K to each colorA synthesizing unit for synthesizing standard color conversion data for performing standard color correction in accordance with standard printing conditions and standard printer conditions to generate a synthesis LUT; and an input unit for inputting color image data The color correction calculation means for performing color correction of the color image data input to the input means using the synthesis LUT generated by the synthesis means, and the color image data color-corrected by the color correction calculation means are output. And an output means.
[0016]
In the invention of
[0017]
As described above, in the present invention, by performing a plurality of color corrections by one-stage composite color correction, it is possible to perform color correction at a high speed with a simple configuration as compared with the case of performing a plurality of color corrections in two or more stages. it can. In addition, since a color difference derived from at least one of the printer conditions and the printing conditions is corrected, a highly accurate color image can be obtained. It should be noted that the color correction calculation means can be constituted by, for example, a single neural network learned to perform the plurality of color corrections.
[0018]
The invention of claim 2 is the above-mentioned aspect of claim 1.The combining means includes printing condition correction data Iy (Y), Im (M), Ic (C), Ik (K), standard color conversion data SMy (Y, M, Y, Y, Y, M, C, K). C, K), SMm (Y, M, C, K), SMc (Y, M, C, K), SMk (Y, M, C, K), and printer condition correction data Py (Y), Pm ( M), Pc (C), and Pk (K) are combined to generate a combined LUT for performing conversion represented by the following functional expression.
Y ′ = Py (SMy (Iy (Y), M, C, K))
M ′ = Pm (SMm (Y, Im (M), C, K))
C ′ = Pc (SMc (Y, M, Ic (C), K))
K ′ = Pk (SMk (Y, M, C, Ik (K)))
[0019]
In the invention of claim 2,A synthesis LUT for performing the conversion represented by the above-described functional formula obtained by synthesizing the printing condition correction data, standard color conversion data, and printer condition correction data for each of four colors Y, M, C, and K is generated. As a result, color correction can be performed at high speed and high accuracy with a simpler device..

In the above determination, the color printing proof image is transferred from the thermal paper to the plain paper used for actual color printing, and the operator determines the output density based on the image transferred to the plain paper. For the transfer to the plain paper, the

In addition, each color image of K, C, M, and Y is printed on a transparent film one by one, and a four-color back image is created by transferring the images of the four-color transparent film one by one to the laminate paper. In addition, a method in which the four-color back image is thermally transferred to plain paper can be employed. In this way, the color printing proof image is transferred to the plain paper used for actual printing because the thermal paper is coated with a heat sensitive material, and the plain paper is glossy or matte. This is because the visual impression of the operator is different, so that fairness of color proofing is ensured.
