Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a recording sheet for recording information with toner for electrostatic printing, and more particularly to a forgery-preventing recording sheet that significantly improves the toner fixing property of the recording sheet and prevents information forgery due to toner scraping. .
[0002]
[Prior art]
Toner is used as a color material for image formation in electrostatic printing systems such as laser printers and digital printers. This includes a method using a liquid developer or an electrostatic induction type dry developer in an electrostatic printing system, but a method using a dry powder toner is generally used, and the object of the present invention is also fundamental. Specifically, it is in powder toner.
[0003]
As a fixing method of the toner image, there are a heat roll type, a flash fixing type, a pressure fixing type, and the like. At present, a method using a heat roll is mainly used. In the heat roll type, the recording sheet on which the toner image is transferred is conveyed to the fixing unit, and the toner is instantaneously melted by contact with the heat roll, and is fixed by natural cooling, and the toner image is adhered and fixed to the sheet surface. . Since the fixing strength of the toner image is governed by the strength of the toner film, the interfacial adhesion strength between the toner film and the sheet surface, or the strength of the sheet itself, the fixability of the toner directly depends on the properties of the toner and the recording sheet. .
[0004]
The toner fixability of the conventional recording sheet is very important from the viewpoint of image quality, but it is pointed out that the toner fixability is still insufficient in actual use. For example, when the recording sheet is folded, the toner on the printed portion of the crease peels off and becomes unreadable, and the toner can be easily scraped off with a knife, so that tampering can be easily performed.
[0005]
As a technique for improving the toner fixing property of such a recording sheet, in the case where a toner receiving layer is provided on the surface of the sheet base material, for example, a technique of providing a coating layer of a hot melt adhesive on the surface of the sheet base material (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 3-274058), technology for providing a coating layer containing magnesium oxide or aluminum oxide and a binder on the surface of the sheet base (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 4-158093), binding with fine silica powder on the surface of the sheet base A technique for providing a coating layer of a mixture with an agent (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-132898), or a sheet base material itself is modified by adding calcium carbonate or a cationic internal sizing agent, and the surface thereof is cationic. There has been a technique of providing a coating layer of a surface sizing agent comprising a sizing agent and a water-soluble polymer (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-221113).
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional recording sheet, since any toner receiving layer is mainly composed of an adhesive or a binder, it does not yet have a sufficiently satisfactory toner fixing property, and the toner is intentionally scraped, It was possible to tamper with the characters.
[0007]
Accordingly, the subject of the present invention is that the toner receiving layer is composed of an ultraviolet curable ink composition containing a resin constituting the toner, and the toner fixing property of the recording sheet is remarkably improved. A color layer is provided between the sheet base materials to prevent falsification of toner information due to toner scraping.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve such a problem, the present inventors provide a colored layer having a hue different from the hue of the toner on the toner recording portion of the sheet base material surface, and an arbitrary toner constituting the electrostatic printing toner is formed on the colored layer. This is an ultraviolet curable ink composition containing the same kind of thermoplastic resin component as the thermoplastic resin, and the present invention has been completed by laminating a toner receiving layer having a hue different from that of the colored layer.
[0009]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the anti-counterfeit recording sheet of the present invention will be described in more detail based on preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings. Here, FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the surface of the recording sheet for forgery prevention of the present invention on which titles, entry fields, etc. are printed, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA in FIG. 1, and FIG. FIG. 4 is a partially enlarged explanatory view showing a tampered state of toner information after toner information is recorded on the forgery prevention recording sheet of FIG.
[0010]
1 and FIG. 2 is an application of the anti-counterfeit recording sheet 1 of the present invention to a deposit certificate, and individual information for each customer is recorded by a laser printer. In this case, a toner receiving layer 3 made of an ultraviolet curable ink composition is provided on a toner recording portion on the surface of a sheet base material 2 and printed 4 such as an individual information printing column and an explanatory text. . A colored layer 5 is provided between the toner receiving layer 3 and the sheet substrate 2 with a colored ink containing a colored pigment or dye. When information is printed on the forgery-preventing recording sheet 1 with toner ink, as shown in FIG. 3, the toner 6 is compatible with the toner receiving layer 3 and the toner 6 by heat and pressure fixing, and reaches the inside of the toner receiving layer 3. The toner 6 is fixed.
[0011]
In the toner information of the recording sheet on which the toner 6 is printed and fixed, as shown in FIG. 4, for example, the number “0” of 304 is scraped off with a sharp blade such as a cutter knife and altered to the number “1”. When the toner is scraped off, it is extremely difficult and practically impossible to scrape only the portion of the toner receiving layer 3 of the toner 6 fixed inside the toner receiving layer 3 having a thickness of several microns. It is a thing. Accordingly, since the colored layer 5 is exposed at the portion where the toner 6 has been scraped off, and the number “0” is expressed by the colored layer 5, tampering can be easily detected and prevented.
[0012]
In the present embodiment, the sheet base material 2 uses general high-quality paper, but a PPC sheet, NIP sheet, resin film, synthetic paper, or the like, which is a conventional recording sheet, may be used as the sheet base material. The colored layer 5 has a hue different from that of the toner receiving layer 3 and preferably has a hue different from that of the sheet substrate 2.
[0013]
The ultraviolet curable ink composition constituting the toner receiving layer 3 is based on a conventional ultraviolet curable ink in which a polymerization reaction of an ink vehicle generated by ultraviolet irradiation is applied to an ink drying means. That is, it consists of various additives such as a photopolymerizable oligomer (prepolymer), a photopolymerizable monomer, a photopolymerization initiator, an antistatic agent and, if necessary, a pigment, a matting agent, a photopolymerization accelerator, a stabilizer, and a wax. The characteristic feature is that a thermoplastic resin component of the same type as the thermoplastic resin constituting the electrostatic printing toner 6 is contained. Due to this feature, the phase meltability between the toner 6 and the toner receiving layer 3 becomes very high at the time of heat melting, and the toner fixability is remarkably improved.
[0014]
The toner for electrostatic printing which is the subject of the present invention comprises a thermoplastic resin, a colorant, a charge control agent, a release agent added as necessary, a plasticizer, and the like. Thermoplastic resins are determined in consideration of thermal characteristics such as melting point and viscoelasticity, and are generally such as epoxy resins, polystyrene resins, acrylic resins, polyester resins, polypropylene resins, polyvinyl chloride resins, etc. It consists of a simple substance, a mixture or a copolymer.
[0015]
Therefore, the thermoplastic resin component contained in the ultraviolet curable ink composition is the same type as these thermoplastic resins, and the contained form thereof is a photopolymerizable oligomer that forms the thermoplastic resin by a photopolymerization reaction. In addition, it is present in the form of a monomer, or the thermoplastic resin constituting the toner is pulverized into fine particles and dispersed in the ink composition, or these coexist.
[0016]
Particularly preferred are fine particles that are photopolymerizable oligomers or photopolymerizable monomers that polymerize and form a styrene acrylic thermoplastic resin or epoxy acrylic thermoplastic resin, or fine particles of the thermoplastic resin. It has been found that when the toner receiving layer 3 containing these thermoplastic resin components is provided, the toner fixing property is remarkably superior to those of other resins.
[0017]
If the content of the thermoplastic resin component in the ultraviolet curable ink composition is 50% by weight or less, a predetermined toner fixing property cannot be obtained. On the other hand, if it exceeds 95% by weight, suitability as a printing ink is impaired. The content must be 50 to 95% by weight, preferably 60 to 90% by weight, and more preferably 70 to 80% by weight. In addition, if the amount of the photopolymerizable monomer is large, the hardness of the toner receiving layer 3 becomes excessively high, and peeling to the surface of the sheet base material 2 due to fixing or rubbing occurs, so that the desired hardness is appropriately adjusted. It is. Further, when the fine particles of the thermoplastic resin are contained, if the ratio is high, the suitability as a printing ink is lowered. Therefore, the content is preferably 20% by weight or less.
[0018]
The photopolymerization initiator may be of a conventional radical polymerization type, and examples thereof include benzoethers, acetophenones, ketals, and thioxanthones. Specifically, 4,4 bisdimethylaminobenzophenone, 1-hydroxy Examples thereof include cyclohexyl phenyl ketone, 2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenylacetophenone, 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenylpropan-1-one, and benzoyl benzoic acid methyl ester.
[0019]
When a resin film is used for the sheet substrate 2, an antistatic agent is preferably added to the ultraviolet curable ink composition constituting the toner receiving layer 3 of the present invention. Conventional antistatic agents may be used. For example, ammonium salts, heterocyclic amines, phosphonium salts, sulfonium salts, betaine amphoteric salts and the like can be suitably used. Cationic quaternary ammonium salts such as methyl-2-methacryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium chloride, polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride, and polyvinylbenzyltrimethylammonium chloride are preferred. If the amount of the antistatic agent is too large, the toner fixing property is lowered. On the other hand, if the amount is too small, the toner transfer rate is lowered and the image becomes unclear. Therefore, the content is 0.1 to 5% by weight. Is appropriate.
[0020]
Further, when the toner receiving layer 3 requires writing characteristics, a matting agent such as titanium oxide, silica, calcium carbonate, barium sulfate may be added.
[0021]
Hereinafter, specific formulation examples of the ultraviolet curable ink composition constituting the toner receiving layer 3 of the present invention will be shown.

[0024]
Here, the toner fixing property in the sample of the anti-counterfeit recording sheet 1 of the present invention will be described. As a result of comparing the obtained sample sheet with a general PPC sheet, the dropout amount in the abrasion resistance test of the sample sheet is 40% or less of that of the PPC sheet, and the peel amount in the tape picking test is 60% of that of the PPC sheet. % Or less. Further, even when compared with a conventional recording sheet in which a toner receiving layer made of a mixture of fine silica powder and a binder was provided on the surface of the sheet base material, an improvement of about 10% was observed for each. Note that the sample sheet preparation method, the abrasion resistance test method for checking the toner fixing property, and the tape picking test method are as follows.
[0025]
(Sample sheet creation method)
On the surface of the NIP70 sheet, the exemplified UV curable ink composition is printed on the toner receiving layer 3 with an application amount of 0.1 ml by dividing the RI tester into four parts, and this is irradiated with predetermined ultraviolet rays (80 W / cm × 2 lamps). 40 m / min) to provide a toner receiving layer 3, and a toner was printed on the surface of the toner receiving layer 3 with a commercially available copy machine (Ricoh SPIRIO-2700) to obtain a sample. The thermoplastic resins of the toner 6 and the toner receiving layer 3 are of the same kind of epoxy acrylic resin.
[0026]
(Abrasion resistance test method)
Using a Gakushin type abrasion tester (Toyo Seiki), a sample was set under the conditions of an acute angle portion of 45 degrees and a weight of 300 g, and the toner was removed 10 times to confirm the amount of toner falling off.
[0027]
(Tape picking test method)
A commercially available cellophane tape is placed on the sample surface, and a roll having a weight of 2 kg is applied on the sample surface by one rotation. After leaving for about 5 minutes, peeling was performed with a universal tensile tester (Orientec) at a peeling speed of 30 mm / min, and the amount of tape transferred to the tape was confirmed.
[0028]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the anti-counterfeit recording sheet of the present invention has an ultraviolet curable ink composition containing a thermoplastic resin component of the same type as any thermoplastic resin constituting the electrostatic printing toner, and has a toner receiving layer. Therefore, the toner fixing property of the recording sheet is remarkably improved and a colored layer having a hue different from that of the toner receiving layer is provided between the toner receiving layer and the sheet base material. For example, since the colored layer of the shaved portion appears, it is possible to easily check forgery by visual observation of the colored layer and contribute to prevention of tampering.
