従来、自動車などの塗装物が需要者の手にわたるまで輸送されたり、また屋内もしくは屋外で一時保管されたりした際に砂塵、鉄粉、雨(酸性雨)、塩類、太陽光線などの影響によって塗装物表面にキズ、シミ、変色、汚染などの欠陥を生じるため、被塗装物表面に保護粘着フィルムを貼り付けて、該塗装物表面を一時保護する方法が考えられている。

上記保護粘着フィルムは、該フィルムをローラー或いはスキージなどを用いて自動車外板に均一に押え付けて施工している。

しかしながら、施工して、一定期間の屋外保管後に保護フィルムを剥がした際に、自動車外板塗膜に非保護部との境界部に汚れ、色の変化、つやの差が付き、商品価値が低下したり、また、補修に時間を要するといった欠点があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明者等は、前記した問題点を解消するために鋭意研究を重ねた結果、粘着フィルムと自動車車体塗装外板との境界周辺部に粘着フィルムを貼付することにより、上記した欠点を全て解決することを見い出し、本発明を完成するに至った。

即ち、本発明は、自動車車体塗装外板の一時保護方法であって、自動車車体塗装外板表面の一部に塗膜一時保護粘着フィルム(a)を貼付した後、塗膜一時保護粘着フィルム(b)を貼付し、粘着フィルム(b)を貼付してから一定期間経過後に粘着フィルム(b)を剥離し、次いで、粘着フィルム(b)を剥離してから一定期間経過後に粘着フィルム(a)を剥離することよりなり、貼付された粘着フィルム(a)の周辺部表面に粘着フィルム(b)の一部が重なるように粘着フィルム(b)を貼付して貼付された粘着フィルム(a)と粘着フィルム(a)が貼付されていない部分との境界部を密封することを特徴とする自動車車体塗装外板の一時保護方法に関する。

本発明の自動車車体塗装外板の一時保護方法は、従来の方法と比べて粘着フィルムを剥離した際に自動車車体塗装外板表面に保護部と非保護部との境界部に汚れ、色の変化、ツヤの差を生じないので一定期間経過後も商品価値が低下することなくしかも補修をする必要が全くないといった優れた効果をもつものである。粘着フィルム(c)を貼付することにより、上記効果がさらに高められると共により長期の保護が可能となる利点が得られる。
