本発明は、擁壁に係り、特に擁壁の表面側に露出する土砂部に樹木あるいは草花などの緑化植物を植え、擁壁表面を植樹壁として構成する植樹壁用擁壁の形成装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
近年より、本件特許出願人は、樹木あるいは草花などを擁壁の表面側に植え、擁壁表面全体を植樹壁として構成する植樹壁用擁壁装置及び植樹壁用擁壁の形成方法の発明を多数特許出願している。しかして、本件特許出願人が出願した永久植樹壁型の擁壁は、その構築により、すでに破壊されつつある自然環境を改善でき、該永久植樹壁型の擁壁構築後には年月を経るにつれて該擁壁の表面が山林のように充分な緑に覆われ、もって地球の緑化構想をさらに促進でき、しかも覆い繁った樹木あるいは草木により防音、吸音及び遮音効果をも発揮でき、かつ樹木の根が深く根づくことにより長期間にわたって強固に擁壁を構築形成できる等の効果をもたらすものであり、今まで全く発明されていなかったタイプの擁壁の発明を本件出願人は特許出願したといえる。

よって、かかる出願された各種の発明により、自然環境を破壊することなく、構築後には数年のうちに山林のように充分な緑で覆われ、しかも防音効果、遮音効果さらには吸音効果までが達成でき、かつ根づいた樹木の根によって長期間にわたって強固に構築される擁壁が提供されるに至ったのである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
かくして、本件発明は前記本件出願人一連の出願にかかる植樹壁の形成装置につき、さらに改良をなした発明と位置づけられる。すなわち、図１２から理解されるように、従来の植樹壁用擁壁装置は、同一の形状からなる擁壁形成部材のみを使用していたため、擁壁の構築につき土圧安定計算上、擁壁高さ（擁壁形成部材の積み上げ高さ）に所定の限界点が生じてしまい、あまり高く擁壁を形成し得なかった。

【発明の実施の形態】
