本発明はパイプ用気密工具に関する。詳しくは、ガス管の修理或いは敷設工事等の終了後にその管端に取り付けて配管内にガスを強制的に送り込み、配管内に残留している空気を抜く所謂エアパージ作業や、或いは配管にエア、都市ガス、天然ガス、LPGガス等の気体を封入し、配管部に漏れがないかを調べる気密性確認作業(気密試験)に用いられ、或いは工事途中における管内へのゴミ又は汚水等の侵入を防止するための仮栓として用いられるパイプ用気密工具に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来のパイプ用気密工具は、原理的には、図4(a)に示すように円板1と、該円板1の中央に設けられたねじ孔に螺合し、一端にフランジ2が取り付けられたボルト3と、該フランジ2と円板1との間に略樽状の弾性封止部材(ゴム等)4が挿入されている。

上記従来のパイプ用気密工具では、管内のガス圧に対する抜け止め力は弾性封止部材4とパイプ5の内面との摩擦によるのみであるためガス圧が高い場合には気密工具がパイプ5からはずれる場合がある。若し、気密工具の外れが発生すると、大事故につながる危険性があるという問題がある。

本発明は上記従来の問題点に鑑み、抜け止め対策を施し、確実にパイプを気密封止できるようにしたパイプ用気密工具を実現することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明のパイプ用気密工具に於いては、パイプの端部に取り付けてその開口を封止する着脱自在なパイプ用気密工具であって、カプラを有する本体と、ハウジングと、弾性封止部材と、押圧部材とよりなり、前記本体は、封止すべきパイプの外径とほぼ同じ外径を有し且つ外周に環状溝が形成され、本体の中心には前記カプラを回転可能に支持する孔が設けられ、前記ハウジングは、封止すべきパイプの外径とほぼ同じ内径を有する環状をなし、且つ二分割されて一方の端部をヒンジ結合され、他方の端部に締付手段が設けられ、さらに該ハウジングの内径には前記本体の環状溝に係合する環状突起と、封止すべきパイプの外周に接する滑り止め手段とが設けられ、前記弾性封止部材は、弾性を有する材料で形成され、封止すべきパイプの内径に挿入可能なリング状をなし、前記押圧部材は、前記本体との間に前記弾性封止部材を挟持し、本体を挿通した前記カプラのねじによる押圧手段により該弾性封止部材を押圧しその径方向に膨張させてパイプを封止可能としたことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1は本発明の実施の形態を示す図で、図1は正面図、図2は図1のA−A線における断面図である。本実施の形態は同図に示すように、カプラ10を有する本体11と、ハウジング12と、弾性封止部材13と、押圧部材14とよりなる。
