一般に、寒冷地等では、建造物の屋上等に積った雪が、風の影響を受けて屋上の外縁部(パラペット)に雪庇が発生する場合がある。このような雪庇を防止するため、建造物の内側を傾斜部とした断面が略三角形状の雪庇防止部材を屋上の外縁部に設ける技術が公知である。

上記目的を達成するために、請求項1に記載の発明は、建造物の外縁部上端に固定するホルダと、建造物の外縁部上端との間に間隔をあけて配置しており且つ縦断面が略三角形状の雪庇防止部材と、ボルトと、ナットとを備え、雪庇防止部材は建造物の外側に設ける垂直板と、底板と、建造物の内側に設けた傾斜板とから構成されており、垂直板の下端には建造物の内側に向けて突設した係止部が設けられており、ホルダに設けてあるボルト係合部にボルトの一端を係合し、底板と垂直板の係止部とにボルトの他端を挿通してナットで固定してあり、傾斜板の上端は垂直板の上端に固定し且つ傾斜板の下端は底板に固定してあることを特徴とする。
