Description
【0001】

[Field of the Invention]
The present invention relates to a hydrogen cyanide detection paper for measuring a concentration by color reaction with hydrogen cyanide contained in an atmosphere.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Hydrogen cyanide is widely used for fumigation of foods such as cereals and vegetables because it has very little persistence and is relatively toxic. Fumigation with hydrogen cyanide is carried out by maintaining the concentration of hydrogen cyanide in the airtight space at several percent and storing the product to be fumigated for several hours or more. After the fumigation, it is confirmed that the hydrogen cyanide has been lowered to the permissible concentration of 5 ppm or less, and then the fumigated product is taken out.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The permissible concentration is confirmed by a hydrogen cyanide detector tube, Berlin blue reaction, rhodan reaction, pyridine pyrazolone method or the like. However, since it is a batch process, there is a problem that efficiency is low. In order to solve such problems, it is also possible to automatically manage using a so-called detection tape, which is coated with a chemical that produces a reaction mark corresponding to the concentration of the test gas by color reaction with the test gas. Although it is conceivable, there is a problem that the optical density changes under the influence of oxygen in the atmosphere and natural light, and the measurement value includes a large detection.
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and its object is to prevent hydrogen and natural light as much as possible and to measure hydrogen cyanide with high accuracy over a long period of time. It is to provide hydrogen cyanide detection paper.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve such problems, in the present invention, copper (II) acetate, an antioxidant, a humectant, and a color former that changes color due to the oxidizing power of copper cyanide are developed on a supporting paper. did.
[0005]
【Example】
Therefore, details of the present invention will be described below based on examples.
Copper acetate (II) [Cu 2 (CH 3 COO) 4 (H 2 O) 2 (monohydrate)] 0.05 wt%, antioxidant, for example, butyl hydroxyl toluene 0.2 wt%, color former, for example, tetramethyl Diaminodiphenylmethane 0.15 wt% and a moisturizing agent such as 15 ml of polyhydric alcohol such as glycerin or ethylene glycol are dissolved in an easily evaporable organic solvent such as methanol in this example to prepare a coloring solution. To do.
[0006]
The color developing solution is impregnated in a supporting paper, for example, a filter paper made of cellulose, and the organic solvent is volatilized while heating as necessary. In order to promote the reaction with the test gas, a sheet material in which fine powders such as silica gel and alumina are mixed in advance is used, or fine powders such as silica gel and alumina are mixed in the coloring solution and supported on the sheet material. Is desirable.
[0007]
As a result, a detection paper on which 0.046 g of copper (II) acetate, 0.14 g of tetramethyldiaminodiphenylmethane, 0.18 g of butylhydroxyl toluene, and 26 g of a humectant are obtained per square meter of the supporting paper is obtained. Incidentally, copper (II) acetate and tetramethyldiaminodiphenylmethane constituting the color developing system are in an appropriate amount, that is, 0.146 centering on the above-mentioned values of 0.046 g of copper (II) acetate and 0.14 g of tetramethyldiaminodiphenylmethane. Hydrogen cyanide can be detected with a predetermined sensitivity as long as it is appropriately selected in the range of 10 to 10 times, but the above-mentioned concentration is preferable in consideration of uneven coating on the carrier and cost.
[0008]
This detection paper can be cut into a tape and used as a detection tape for an automatic measuring device or as a detection material for a detection badge by cutting into a piece of paper.
[0009]
In particular, when processed into a tape, the

[Chemical 1]
As a result of this reaction, copper cyanide is produced, and the colorant tetramethyldiaminodiphenylmethane is colored by its oxidizing power. As a result, a blue reaction mark proportional to the concentration of hydrogen cyanide is formed on the
[0011]
In the above-described embodiment, the fluid to be measured is allowed to react by passing the sheet material, but as shown in FIG. Using the sampling head formed with the inlet 11 on one side and the
[0012]
In FIG. 2, the gas flow rate sampled using the above-described hydrogen cyanide detection paper is maintained at 400 ml / min, and the sampling time (in the figure, symbol A is 60 seconds, symbol B is 40 seconds, symbol C is 20 seconds) The relationship between the concentration of hydrogen cyanide and the relative optical density was measured.
[0013]
FIG. 3 shows the sampling time while maintaining the gas flow rate to be sampled at 400 ml / min using the above-described hydrogen cyanide detection paper and changing the hydrogen cyanide concentration (in the figure, symbol A is 15 ppm, symbol B is 10 ppm, symbol C is 5 ppm). It is the result of having measured the relationship between and relative optical density.
[0014]
Further, FIG. 4 shows the aforementioned color developing solution, that is, copper acetate (II) 0.05 wt%, butylhydroxyl toluene 0.2 wt%, tetramethyldiaminodiphenylmethane 0.15 wt%, and glycerin liquor so that the total amount becomes 100 ml. The relative optical density is shown when hydrogen cyanide having a concentration of 5 ppm is measured at a sampling flow rate of 400 ml / min and a sampling time of 40 seconds by changing the concentration of glycerin dissolved in methanol.
From this, it is understood that the amount of glycerin at 8.55 to 24.51 v / v% (15 to 43 g per square meter of detection paper) at the color developing solution level is an amount suitable for improving the detection sensitivity.
[0015]
On the other hand, the detection paper of the present invention, that is, the development of 0.046 g of copper (II) acetate, 0.14 g of tetramethyldiaminodiphenylmethane, 0.18 g of butylhydroxyl toluene and 26 g of humectant per square meter of carrying paper, and butylhydroxyl toluene A detection paper (hereinafter referred to as a comparative detection paper) containing no hydrogen was prepared, and a hydrogen cyanide with a specified concentration was measured at a specified sampling time, and the same change in optical density occurred.
[0016]
On the other hand, after the detection paper of the present invention and the detection paper for comparison were allowed to stand for 8 hours at 30 cm directly under a 20 w fluorescent lamp, the specified concentration of hydrogen cyanide was measured at the specified sampling time. While the change in density, that is, the measured value was 0.93, the detection sensitivity of the comparative detection paper was 0.48, which was almost halved. From this, it has been found that the addition of butylhydroxyltoluene, which is an antioxidant, is an extremely effective means for preventing a reduction in sensitivity.
[0017]
In addition, when the detection paper with the butylhydroxyl toluene concentration changed was left for 8 hours in 30 cm directly under the 20 w fluorescent lamp, the change in detection sensitivity was investigated. It has been found that sensitivity reduction can be prevented. The upper limit is defined by the saturated concentration of the color developing solution and is 1.0 g per square meter.
[0018]
In the above-mentioned examples, copper cyanide generated by the reaction with hydrogen cyanide is detected by a color reaction with tetramethyldiaminodiphenylmethane, but a color reaction is caused by the oxidizing power of copper cyanide, and hydrogen cyanide is used. The same effect can be obtained by using a coloring system that does not interfere with the reaction, such as iodine-starch reaction or N, N-diethyl-P-phenylenediamine sulfate.
In addition, the color former which reacts with copper cyanide and develops color can be changed at an appropriate concentration .
[0019]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the present invention, copper (II) acetate, an antioxidant, a humectant, and a color former that changes color due to the oxidizing power of copper cyanide are developed on the supporting paper. Even when left inside, the color change is low, and hydrogen cyanide in the order of ppm can be detected with high sensitivity and accuracy.
