Description

【0001】
【0012】
上記耐候性樹脂としては、透明性の良好なPMMA(ポリメチルメタクリレート)等のアクリル樹脂やSAN(スチレン−アクリロニトリル共重合体)樹脂,AAS(アクリロニトリル−アクリルゴム−スチレン共重合体)樹脂,AES(アクリロニトリル−エチレンプロピレンゴム−スチレン共重合体)樹脂等のスチレン変性樹脂、PVC(ポリ塩化ビニル)樹脂等の耐候性樹脂を使用でき、特に、PMMA樹脂で成形品を被覆することが好ましい。
【0017】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a wood-based ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer) resin composition and a molded article using the same, and in particular, is excellent in wood texture and impact resistance and is suitably applied to a decorative material for building materials. The present invention relates to a woody ABS resin composition that can be used and a molded product thereof. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a two-layer structure molded article having sufficient weather resistance that can be used as an outdoor or indoor decorative material by coextruding a weather resistant resin to the woody ABS resin composition.
[0002]
[Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention]
Conventionally, wood flour is abundantly supplied as a by-product and waste from a lumber mill, a woodworking factory, and the like, and is generally available at a lower price than other fillers. This wood powder, like other fillers, can be blended with a thermoplastic resin to obtain effects such as improving the rigidity of the molded product and reducing the specific gravity. Technical studies for obtaining various molded products by performing extrusion molding, injection molding, calendar molding, vacuum molding, compression molding, and the like have been conducted. However, the conventional molded product does not have a smooth surface appearance, and not only does not have sufficient impact resistance, but also has a problem that the weather resistance is extremely lowered by filling with wood powder. .
[0003]
Therefore, the present invention provides a wood-based ABS resin composition from which a molded article having a smooth appearance and a matte wood texture can be obtained, and a molded article using the same, particularly a two-layer structure molded article having excellent weather resistance. It is intended to provide.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the woody ABS resin composition of the present invention comprises 5 to 100 parts by weight of wood flour and 0.1 to 30 parts by weight of styrene-modified polyethylene wax with respect to 100 parts by weight of ABS resin. It is characterized in that the following is blended, and in particular, the butadiene rubber content of the ABS resin is 5 wt% or more and 40 wt% or less.
[0005]
In addition, a molded article using the woody ABS resin composition of the present invention is obtained by molding the woody ABS resin composition by any one of extrusion molding, injection molding, calendar molding, vacuum molding, and compression molding. In particular, by coextrusion of a weather resistant resin when extruding a wood type ABS resin composition, the surface of the wood type ABS resin composition molded product is subjected to the weather resistant resin. It is characterized by forming a coating layer.
[0006]
As the ABS resin used in the present invention, a general-purpose resin is sufficient, but the butadiene rubber content is preferably in the range of 5 wt% to 40 wt%, and more preferably in the range of 10 wt% to 30 wt%. Those are preferred. If the butadiene rubber content is outside this range, the surface appearance and impact resistance may be inferior. Moreover, heat resistance can be improved when what was modified | denatured with (alpha) -methylstyrene, phenylmaleimide, etc. is used.
[0007]
The wood powder to be blended with the ABS resin is not particularly limited as to the type of tree, and pine, bamboo shoots, cherry blossoms, cedar, bamboo shoots, bamboo shoots, beech, bamboo shoots and the like can be used. Also, the styrene-modified polyethylene wax is not particularly limited, but usually a molecular weight of 1000 to 5000 is suitable.
[0008]
In the woody ABS resin composition of the present invention, 5 parts by weight or more and 100 parts by weight or less of wood powder and 0.1 part by weight or more and 30 parts by weight or less of styrene-modified polyethylene wax with respect to 100 parts by weight of the ABS resin. Mix in proportions. At this time, if the wood powder is less than 5 parts by weight, a good wood texture cannot be obtained, and if it exceeds 100 parts by weight, the impact resistance is lowered and a molded article having a good appearance cannot be obtained. If the styrene-modified polyethylene wax is less than 0.1 parts by weight, a molded product having a smooth appearance cannot be obtained, and if it exceeds 30 parts by weight, the lubricant bleeds out and molding becomes difficult.
[0009]
The woody ABS resin composition includes, if necessary, fillers such as calcium carbonate, talc, mica, and glass beads, pigments, ultraviolet absorbers, flame retardants, reinforcing agents such as carbon fibers and glass fibers, and the like. Can be arbitrarily added within a range that does not impair the moldability and physical properties of the molded product.
[0010]
The above-mentioned wood-based ABS resin composition is molded by any one of extrusion molding, injection molding, calender molding, vacuum molding, and compression molding to give a smooth appearance and a matte wood texture. A molded product having an arbitrary shape can be obtained. The molded product thus obtained is superior in wood texture and impact resistance as compared with conventional ones.
[0011]
On the other hand, since ABS resin originally has poor weather resistance, when the molded product is used outdoors, it is desirable to improve the weather resistance while maintaining the wood texture of the molded product. Therefore, in the present invention, as described above, when the wood-based ABS resin composition is extruded to obtain a molded product, a weathering resin is coextruded to form a coating layer made of the weathering resin on the surface of the molded product. Try to form.
[0012]
Examples of the weather-resistant resin include acrylic resins such as PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), SAN (styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer) resin, AAS (acrylonitrile-acrylic rubber-styrene copolymer) resin, AES (good transparency), and the like. A styrene-modified resin such as (acrylonitrile-ethylenepropylene rubber-styrene copolymer) resin or a weather-resistant resin such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride) resin can be used, and it is particularly preferable to cover the molded product with a PMMA resin. Moreover, an ultraviolet absorber, a light stabilizer, a pigment, dye, etc. can be arbitrarily added to a weather resistant resin in the range which does not impair the transparency.
[0013]
In general, when a weather-resistant resin as described above is coated on a normal ABS molded product, depending on the type and amount of lubricant, the lubricant moves to the surface of the ABS molded product and adheres to the weather-resistant resin and the ABS molded product. In some cases, it may be difficult to mold the ABS resin coated with the weather resistant resin, and even when moldable, it may be peeled off during use.
[0014]
On the other hand, in the present invention, the styrene-modified polyethylene wax compatible with the ABS resin is blended in the above ratio with the ABS resin containing the wood powder, thereby improving the adhesive strength between the weather resistant resin and the woody ABS resin. It is possible to obtain a two-layer structure molded product that is easy to mold, does not cause peeling of the weather resistant resin layer, and has excellent weather resistance. The thickness of the coating layer made of weather resistant resin is usually 20 to 500 microns.
[0015]
The above-mentioned two-layer structure molded product can be molded using a normal coextrusion molding machine 1 as shown in the sectional view of FIG. That is, by supplying the wood-based ABS resin composition A to the inner supply part 3 of the die 2 and supplying the weathering resin B for coating from the outer supply part 4 and coextruding, the cross-sectional view of FIG. As shown, a two-layer structure molded article in which a coating layer 6 made of a weather resistant resin is formed on the surface of a base material 5 made of a wood-based ABS resin composition can be obtained.
[0016]
The extruded two-layer structure molded product is cooled using the sizing 7, but before being cooled by the sizing 7, the embossed pattern is transferred using the embossing roll 8, so that the two-layer structure having an uneven pattern on the surface. It is also possible to obtain a structural molded product.
[0017]
