BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a control device for an electric power steering apparatus.
[0002]
[Prior art]
An electric power steering device for a vehicle detects steering torque and vehicle speed generated in a steering shaft by operating a steering handle, and inputs the detection signal to an electronic control circuit constituted by a micro computer to assist steering. A steering assist command value, which is a control target value of a motor that generates force, is calculated, and the drive time of the semiconductor element in the motor drive circuit in which the semiconductor element is connected to the H bridge based on the calculated steering assist command value In some cases, the duty ratio of a PWM signal (pulse width signal) is determined, and the motor is driven by controlling the motor drive circuit based on the determined duty ratio.
[0003]
Further, the steering assist command value, which is digital data calculated by a micro computer, is converted to analog data by an A / D converter, and the motor drive circuit is controlled by the converted analog data. Some drive the motor.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The control circuit configured as described above is generally a low-resolution circuit that processes 8-bit signals. Even if the operation result of the microcomputer is a 16-bit signal, the PWM signal processing circuit or A / D converter is used. In a low-resolution circuit in which the circuit processes an 8-bit signal, it cannot be determined whether to output 0 or 1 as an output value when processing a signal below the resolution. Therefore, the output signal oscillates with a resolution of about 1 bit. . This is called limit cycle vibration.
[0005]
Such vibration is not preferable because the steering assist command value includes a vibration component, which is perceived as unpleasant vibration during steering, and deteriorates the product performance. An object of the present invention is to reduce the limit cycle vibration caused by insufficient resolution of the PWM signal processing circuit and the A / D conversion circuit and improve the steering feeling.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention solves the above problems, and includes a steering torque detection means for detecting a steering torque generated at least in a steering shaft, and a steering assistance command value calculation means for calculating a steering assistance command value based on the detected steering torque. A control apparatus for an electric power steering apparatus, comprising: a motor control means for controlling a motor based on the calculated steering assist command value, wherein a steering assist force corresponding to a steering torque is applied to a steering mechanism; The steering assist command value calculation means is constituted by digital calculation means having a larger number of bits than the motor control means, and calculates the steering assist command value based on the steering torque data sampled every predetermined time. -Output to the data control means, and the lower order bit data of the steering assist command value truncated at that time is used for the next sampled operation. Torukude - characterized by calculating a steering assist command value by adding the data.
[0007]
The electric time constant of the motor that applies the steering assist force corresponding to the steering torque to the steering mechanism is at least ½π of the sampling period of the steering torque. The steering assist command value may be a motor current command value.
[0008]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The features and embodiments of the present invention will be described below. The steering assist command value is obtained by calculating the steering torque, vehicle speed, and other parameters based on a predetermined arithmetic expression. When such a steering assist command value is calculated with a finite word length of 8 bits. Since the calculation includes multiplication, the calculation result is output in 16 bits. However, since the PWM signal processing circuit (or A / D conversion circuit) that receives the calculated steering assist command value is generally configured to receive 8-bit data, the 16 Only the upper 8 bits of the operation result output by the bits are output to the PWM signal processing circuit, and the lower 8 bit data are discarded. This is a quantization error.
[0009]
Therefore, by adding the truncated lower 8 bit data to the steering torque data detected in the next sampling period and calculating the steering assist command value, the quantization error due to the truncation of the lower 8 bit data is reduced. Reduced.
[0010]
FIG. 1 shows a quantization
[0011]
[0012]
The operation of the quantization error reduction circuit will be described. The detected steering torque T is input to the
[0013]
In this way, the lower 8 bit data (quantization error) δ, which is sequentially rounded down, is fed back and added to the steering assist command value I based on the steering torque extracted in the next sampling period. It is possible to reduce the quantization error due to the truncation of the bit data.
[0014]
The quantization error reduction circuit shown in FIG. 1 described above is set so that the transfer characteristic from the generation of the quantization error to the output of the
[0015]
Here, the quantization error will be described. Since the quantization error δ can be regarded as white noise, it can be handled as data independent of the steering assist command value I as an output. Since the steering torque and the motor current are in a proportional relationship, the influence of the quantization error can be evaluated as the influence on the motor current, and therefore the following relationship (1) is established.
[0016]
Here, R: resistance between motor terminals M (s): 1 / Ls + R
L: Motor inductance s: Laplace operator G (s): Transfer characteristic of quantization error reduction circuit (1-Z −1 ) Transfer function obtained by converting n into continuous time system | ˜ | ∞ : Maximum gain Value shall be indicated.
[0017]
In order to establish the relationship of the above equation (1), the electric time constant of the motor may be set to be equal to or lower than the crossover frequency ωc of the high-pass filter. That is, the electric time constant of the motor may be set to 1 / π or less of the Nyquist frequency ωN or 1 / 2π or less of the sampling period Ts. This is because there is a relationship of ωN = 1 / 2Ts between the sampling period Ts and the Nyquist frequency ωN.
[0018]
As described above, the quantization error reduction circuit shown in FIG. 1 is set such that the transfer characteristic from the generation of the quantization error to the output of the
[0019]
In an actual circuit, the electrical characteristics of the motor that generates the steering assist force have the characteristics shown in FIG. 3 and function as a low-pass filter. Therefore, a low-pass filter is required as a special circuit component. The electric time constant of the motor may be at least 1 / 2π of the sampling frequency of the steering torque.
[0020]
Thus, when a low-pass filter is inserted on the output side of the quantization error reduction circuit, the overall transfer characteristic is as shown in FIG. 4, and the gain is 1 / R (R is the motor in the entire frequency range). The inter-terminal resistance is less than or equal to the terminal resistance, and the quantization error can be reduced. Note that the quantization error reduction circuit described above is a function that is executed in the CPU that constitutes the control circuit, not a reduction circuit that is configured by specific circuit elements. .

[0035]
The current direction signal is a signal that indicates the direction of the current supplied to the motor, and is a signal determined by the sign (positive or negative) of the current control value E calculated by the
[0036]
FET1 and FET2 are switching elements whose gates are turned ON / OFF based on the duty ratio of the PWM signal, and are switching elements for controlling the magnitude of the current flowing through the motor. FET3 and FET4 are switching elements whose gates are turned on or off based on the current direction signal described above (one is turned on when the other is turned off), and the direction of the current flowing to the motor, that is, This is a switching element that switches the rotation direction of the motor.

When the FET 4 is in a conducting state, the current flows through the

Next, a quantization error reduction process when obtaining the PWM signal from the current control value E, that is, the quantization error when obtaining the PWM signal by extracting the upper 8 bit data from the calculated 16-bit data. The reduction process will be described based on the flowchart of FIG.
[0040]
First, the steering torque is sampled, the steering torque T is detected, and the current control value E for controlling the motor current is calculated (step P1). This can be achieved by taking out and calculating the output from the
[0041]
The current control value E is calculated again by adding the truncated lower 8 bit data δ. A 16-bit calculation result is obtained. The upper 8 bit data is output as a PWM signal (step P3), and the truncated lower 8 bit data is stored in the memory as new lower 8 bit data δ. Save (step P4).
[0042]
Return to step P1 for recalculation by adding the lower 8 bit data rounded down to the current control value E input by sampling of the next steering torque.
[0043]
In the embodiment described above, the electronic control circuit is composed of an 8-bit CPU, and in the calculation of the current control value E, the upper 8-bit data of the 16-bit data obtained in the calculation process is output as a PWM signal. It has been described that the lower 8 bit data is added to the next calculation as an error.
[0044]
However, this is an explanation on the assumption that the electronic control circuit is constituted by an 8-bit CPU. Even when the electronic control circuit is constituted by a CPU other than the 8-bit CPU, the high-order bit data is similarly used as a PWM signal. When outputting, the lower bit data becomes an error. It goes without saying that the processing method of the present invention for adding such an error to the next calculation can also be applied to data processing by a CPU other than 8-bit as a method for reducing the quantization error based on digital calculation. Nor.
[0045]
In the quantization error processing described above, when the higher-order bit data is output as a PWM signal, the lower-order bit data is truncated. However, the highest-order bit data is rounded off by rounding off the most significant digit of the lower-order bit data. May be included in the data. In this case as well, the lower bit data is added and processed in the process of recalculating the current control value E by sampling the next steering torque.
[0046]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the control device for the electric power steering apparatus of the present invention, the calculation result of the micro computer constituting the control apparatus is a 16-bit signal, and the PWM signal processing circuit and the A / D conversion circuit are Even in a low-resolution circuit that processes 8-bit signals, errors caused by truncation of lower-order bit data are added in the process of recalculating the steering assist command value or current control value by sampling the next steering torque. Therefore, it is possible to reduce errors generated in the calculation process, reduce limit cycle vibrations caused by insufficient resolution of the PWM signal processing circuit and A / D conversion circuit, and improve steering feeling. Can do.
