Description
The present invention relates to an adhesive application device that applies an adhesive to a required position of an object to be applied. For example, an adhesive is applied to a position where an electronic component on a circuit board is mounted, and then the electronic component to be mounted is mounted. It is used to manufacture an electronic circuit board by being fixed to a mounting position.
The present applicant has previously proposed an apparatus as shown in FIG. 8 for applying an adhesive to a position where the electronic component of the circuit board as described above is mounted (see, for example, Patent Document 1). . This apparatus is in the middle of the conveyance path b of the circuit board a, that is, the circuit board a. A table e that is placed between the loading part c and the unloading part d and receives the circuit board a that is transported and can move in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction, and this table e is perpendicular to the transport direction. A table positioning means f for moving and positioning in a direction, an application head g which is arranged corresponding to the table e and can apply an adhesive to a required position of the circuit board a on the table e and can move in the transport direction; Head positioning means h for positioning the coating head g by moving it in the transport direction is provided.
The application position of the adhesive on the circuit board a is scattered at each position on the horizontal plane. Therefore, in order to be able to apply the adhesive to any position, it is necessary to relatively move the table e and the application head g in the XY2 directions orthogonal to each other on the horizontal plane.
However, the production efficiency of the electronic circuit board cannot be sufficiently increased from a series of operations for applying the adhesive to the circuit board a using such an apparatus. Cannot meet the demand for higher speeds.
First, there is a limit to the moving speed of the table e and the coating head g, the speed of the coating work in the positioning state corresponding to each bonding position, and the like. For this reason, the production efficiency of the electronic circuit board is poor due to the performance of the coating apparatus itself.
In order to satisfy this, it has already been carried out that two coating devices are arranged in parallel in the transport direction in the transport path b, and the adhesive is simultaneously applied to the two circuit boards a using the respective coating devices. ing. However, in this case, the length in the conveyance direction occupied by the coating device on the production line of the circuit board a is twice that of a single device, which takes up a large plane space and is manufactured except for providing a bypass passage such as an overpass. Since a person cannot cross the line, it is inconvenient for various operations such as maintenance management of each part of the production line and management and replenishment of the circuit board a, adhesive, and parts necessary for each part of the production line.
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 9, a table e is provided which can receive and position the two circuit boards a conveyed in the middle of the conveyance path b close to the conveyance direction, and the table e is received on the table e. Two coating heads g corresponding to each mounted circuit board a are integrally connected so that they can be moved and positioned in common, and adhesive is simultaneously applied to both circuit boards a of the table e by the coating heads g. Therefore, as compared with the case where the coating apparatuses are arranged side by side, the length in the transport direction on the production line can be made shorter than when two coating apparatuses are arranged side by side.
However, in such an apparatus, each of the two circuit boards a received on one table e cannot be freely positioned, and each of the coating heads g cannot be moved freely by mutual connection. It is difficult to accurately position each circuit board a and each coating head g corresponding to each circuit board a. Therefore, it is difficult to apply the adhesive with high accuracy, and the yield is lowered, for example, the adhesive is applied to the electrode for electrical connection with the electronic component mounted on the circuit board a to cause a connection failure. Cause.
Further, in the conventional adhesive application device shown in FIG. 8, referring to FIG. 1 showing an embodiment of the present invention, trial application in which a tape is used for trial application by an application head in the vicinity of a table in a conveyance path. An
By the way, the trial application
However, it is difficult to replace the
In addition, the optimum application diameter of the adhesive is selected and set in accordance with the type of electronic component to be mounted, particularly the size. Conventionally, the application of the adhesive is performed by manually inputting various application parameters of the adhesive on the setting screen as shown in FIG. 10A and setting the conditions in the application program so that the necessary work is performed. As for the selection of the coating diameter, a nozzle having a coating diameter corresponding to the planar length L and width B of the electronic component m to be mounted is selected one by one as shown in FIG. And input settings.
Such work is complicated, and coupled with the fact that it is necessary to respond to the field, it takes a lot of time to set data in producing various electronic circuit boards, which also causes a reduction in the manufacturing efficiency of electronic circuit boards. It has become.
Further, the coating head g is equipped with three coating nozzles i, j, and k having a large diameter L, a small diameter S, and an extremely small diameter VS at the same time as shown in FIG. Each of these coating nozzles i, j, k is selected and used according to the setting corresponding to the difference in the dimensions of the electronic component m mounted at each coating position. Each coating nozzle i, j, k is connected to its own adhesive tank to form an individual applicator. When the adhesive in the tank is exhausted, the coating apparatus stops as the adhesive runs out. The stopped coating apparatus can resume the coating operation by replenishing the adhesive.
The adhesive replenishment timing for each of the application nozzles i, j, and k varies depending on the difference in the consumption amount of the adhesive per unit time depending on the application frequency and the application amount.
The coating device frequently stops when the replenishment timing is different. For this reason, the production efficiency of the electronic circuit board is greatly reduced. Therefore, if there is a coating nozzle that consumes about twice as much as the other, the two coating heads g are equipped with these coating nozzles, and the appropriate timing for replenishing the adhesive can be adjusted to other coating nozzles. It is possible to prevent the coating apparatus from frequently stopping. FIG. 8 shows a state in which one coating nozzle i having a coating diameter L and two coating nozzles j and k having a coating diameter S are provided.
However, when the application nozzle corresponding to the size of the electronic component is selected and set according to each setting item on the setting screen as described above, which of the two application nozzles j and k having the same application diameter is used. Cannot be selected. In order to select and set these, further application parameters are required, and both the program and the setting operation become more complicated, so that the production efficiency of the electronic circuit board further decreases.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide an adhesive coating apparatus that improves the production efficiency of electronic circuit boards in various aspects without increasing the size of the apparatus. .
The adhesive coating apparatus of the present invention includes a table that can be placed on a transportation path of a coating object and can receive a coating object to be transported, and a coating object that is disposed corresponding to the table and is coated on the table. The application head that can apply the adhesive to the required position of the object, the table and the application head are moved relative to each other at least with the movement of the application head, so that the required position of the application object on the table and the required position near the application object. Positioning means for positioning the coating head so as to face each other, and a trial coating auxiliary tool provided for predetermined coating on the upstream side and the downstream side in the transport direction of the table and feeding the roll tape to the coating head for trial coating while sequentially feeding out the roll tape The standby position below the application target transport level of the transport path and the use position at the same height as the application target transport level. It is provided with a support mechanism for supporting movement to a tape exchange position above the application object conveyance level, and drive means for moving the trial application auxiliary tool at least between the standby position and the use position. age,
The adhesive can be applied to any position of the application object by the relative movement in the direction perpendicular to the conveying direction of the table and the application head on which the application object being conveyed is received in the middle of the conveyance path. It can also be said that trial application is performed on a roll tape mounted on an application aid that has been raised to the application object conveyance level to prevent clogging of the adhesive when not in use. In particular, the trial application aid is moved by the driving means in a timely manner between the use position as described above and the standby position below the application object conveyance level, so that it does not interfere with the application object conveyance. While being automatically used for the trial application at the timing, the roll tape can be easily and without disturbing the application object conveyance mechanism by moving the trial application auxiliary tool above the application object conveyance level. Since it can be replaced in a short time, work efficiency is improved. Therefore, also in the present invention, it is possible to sufficiently meet the demand for high speed in the production line of the electronic circuit board without increasing the size of the apparatus.
According to the present invention, the test application assisting tool is automatically used for the test application at a timing that does not interfere with the transfer of the application object, while the test application auxiliary tool is above the application object conveyance level. By moving it, the roll tape can be replaced easily and in a short time without obstructing the transfer mechanism of the object to be coated, and it fully responds to the demand for high-speed electronic circuit board production lines without increasing the size of the equipment. can do.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of an adhesive application device of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
The adhesive application device of the present embodiment is used to manufacture an electronic circuit board by mounting electronic components on the circuit board. FIG. 1 shows a schematic configuration thereof. As shown in FIG. 1, this coating apparatus is arranged in the vicinity of a transport path 2 of a
In the present embodiment using such an apparatus, each
As a result, a plurality of tables 3 and 4 arranged close to each other in the conveyance direction in the middle of the conveyance path 2 of the
Although not shown, each table 3, 4 has a mechanism for receiving and holding the
Each of the table positioning means 5 and 6 and each of the head positioning means 9 and 10 includes
The coating heads 7 and 8 of the present embodiment are equipped with a plurality of
Thus, the application of the adhesive to the required position on the
The
For the above control, the
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the

Therefore, also in the present invention, it is possible to sufficiently meet the demand for higher speed in the production line of the electronic circuit board without increasing the size of the apparatus. Such a feature can be similarly exerted on various other devices such as the above-described conventional device that does not adopt the positioning method and the coating method shown in FIG. 1 of the present embodiment, and a combination thereof. The configuration also belongs to the category of the present invention.
Further, in the present embodiment, in order to selectively use the
As described above, the adhesive is applied by automatically selecting the application diameters of the plurality of adhesives of the application heads 7 and 8 based on the dimension information of the parts corresponding to the application positions in the program. If it does in this way, the special setting operation for selecting a coating diameter will become unnecessary, and the work efficiency for setting a new coating condition corresponding to a coating target will improve. Therefore, in these inventions, it is possible to sufficiently meet the demand for high speed in the circuit board production line without increasing the size of the apparatus. Such a feature can also be exhibited in various other devices such as the above-described conventional device that does not adopt the Yoshino positioning method and the application method shown in FIG. 1 of the present embodiment, and a combination thereof. The configuration also belongs to the category of the present invention. The plurality of application diameters can also be obtained by adjusting the application diameter in one applicator. In this case, only one applicator may be used, and the operation of selecting the application diameter is merely replaced with the operation of adjusting the application diameter with one applicator, and there is no essential change.
Further, in the present embodiment, the adhesive on the

FIG. 5 is a main routine showing main operation control, and various initial settings are performed by turning on the power. Then, after various input / output processes are performed, based on various data settings by the input / output processes, in a mode in which there are a plurality of application nozzles having the same application diameter, the data setting for equally using them as described above is performed. For the same kind of nozzle. Subsequently, the application work by the application heads 7 and 8 is performed in accordance with the various application conditions set. Next, after performing operation control of the trial
FIG. 6 is a specific example of the same-type nozzle processing subroutine of FIG. 5, and processing is performed only for a case where a plurality of application nozzles having the same application diameter are set. A line in which a plurality of S coating nozzles are set according to the present embodiment will be described as an example. By confirming that a plurality of coating nozzles are set, a coating program is simulated and set in the program. Obtain the required total number of times of use for a specific unit of a plurality of applicators having the same application diameter from the information being obtained, and divide this total number of uses by the number of applicators having the same application diameter. The division application number is set as the continuous use number Sn for one applicator, and a flag S having a plurality of applicators having the same application diameter S is set to 1 and the process returns. If the number is not plural, the number Sn is cleared and the flag S is reset to zero. Since the same applies to the coating diameters L and VS, a specific description is omitted.
FIG. This is an L coating operation processing subroutine, and a necessary coating diameter is set on the program each time, and processing is performed according to the set coating diameter L, S, or VS line. Here, only the control of the S line will be described assuming that the coating diameter S is set.
First, it is determined whether or not there is a flag S. If the flag S is 0, there are no corresponding application nozzles, so the application nozzle S is designated as usual and the application operation is performed.
If the flag S is 1 and there are a plurality of corresponding application nozzles, the number of nozzles SN is determined.
Next, in order to designate in order from the first of the addresses assigned in advance for a plurality of nozzles, the address of SN- (SN-1) is designated and the first application is performed. Each time the first application nozzle is used, the counters C and D are incremented by 1, and the use of the first application nozzle is repeated until the count of the counter A becomes equal to the previously set number of continuous use Sn. . When they are equal, the nozzle designation is made by adding 1 to the application nozzle designation address, the count of the counter C is cleared, and thereafter the application by the second application nozzle is performed similarly. When the count of the counter D becomes equal to SN, the use of all the plurality of application nozzles has been completed, so the counter D is cleared and the process returns. As a result, the use of a plurality of application nozzles is reused from the first. Since the same applies to the application nozzles of other application diameters, a specific description is omitted.
However, the specific control is not limited to that described above, and can be achieved by various programs.
The present invention can be practically used for automatic application of an adhesive and contributes to speeding up and downsizing of a production line.
