Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a molten metal immersion heater that is installed, for example, in a molten bath in which a molten aluminum alloy is stored and raises or maintains the molten metal temperature in the molten bath to a predetermined temperature.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a conventional technique, there is one described in JP-A-1-319287. This will be described with reference to FIG. In FIG. 4, reference numeral 1 denotes a molten metal tank, in which a molten aluminum alloy 3 is stored, and the top surface is closed by a top plate 2. 4 is an immersion heater installed in the molten metal tank 1. This immersion heater 4 is made of ceramic and has a column member 5 having a thick holding portion 5a at its lower end portion that is elongated in the vertical direction. The holding portion 5a has a refractory heat radiating pipe 6 in which an electric heater 7 is accommodated. Fix and protrude toward the direction. The heat radiating tube 6 is formed with a large-diameter flange portion 6a at the right end thereof, and the flange portion 6a is fitted into the holding portion 5a and fixed integrally.
[0003]
And while accommodating the said immersion heater 4 in the molten metal tank 1, the support | pillar member 5 is spaced apart inward from the side wall 1a, and the upper and lower ends are raised and held by the top plate 2 and the bottom surface 1a of the molten metal tank 1, The lead wire 7a of the electric heater 7 is taken out from the window hole 2a opened in the top plate 2, connected to a power supply circuit (not shown), energized to the electric heater 7, and inside the molten metal tank 1 through the heat radiating pipe 6. The molten metal 3 is heated or held at a predetermined temperature.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above conventional apparatus, the column member 5 is spaced inward from the side wall 1a of the molten metal tank 1 and the upper and lower ends thereof are held upright by the top plate 2 and the bottom surface 1a of the molten metal tank 1. As the holding force of the support member 5 decreases, the support member 5 is surrounded by the molten metal 3 and heated, and the lead wires passing through the support member 5 are easily damaged by heat. In addition, the holding area of the heat radiating pipe 6 is poor because the contact area of the joint between the holding part 5a and the heat radiating pipe 6 is small and stress concentration is likely to occur at the joint, and the molten metal 3 radiates heat during housing. The buoyancy acting on the tube 6 or the resistance of the molten metal 3 acting on the heat radiating tube 6 at the time of taking out tends to break at the joint. Furthermore, since the top plate 2 locks the upper end of the column member 5 and the lead wire 7a penetrates the top plate 2, it is difficult to attach and remove the immersion heater 4 from the molten metal tank 1, There were drawbacks such as requiring time and labor for installation and maintenance. An object of the present invention is to obtain a novel immersion heater for molten metal that eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention is configured as follows to achieve the above object. That is, a pillar member extending in the vertical direction is provided by a fireproof heat insulating material, and a horizontal fitting hole is formed at the lower end portion of the pillar member from the back side to the front side of the pillar member. It is formed into a tapered shape with a small diameter on the side and a large diameter on the back side, and an elongated fire-resistant heat radiation pipe containing an electric heater is provided. A hooking piece that tapers into the fitting hole and is integrally fixed, and is integrally provided with a hanging piece that protrudes in the back direction and engages with the upper edge of the side wall of the molten metal tank at the upper end of the column member, A structure in which an engagement hole in the vertical direction is provided on one of the hanging piece and the upper edge of the side wall of the molten metal tank to which the hook is engaged, and an engagement pin that can be fitted / removed in the vertical direction on the engagement hole is provided on the other side It is a thing.
In this case, a boss portion protruding in the front direction is integrally formed at the lower end portion of the column member, and a horizontal fitting hole extending from the back side of the column member to the front side through the axial center portion of the boss portion is formed. It is preferable to form. Further, the hanging piece is preferably formed in a box shape from a sheet metal material, and is configured to be fixed integrally by fitting the end portion on the front side thereof to the upper end portion of the column member. Furthermore, it is good to provide a hanging metal fitting in the upper part of the said support | pillar member.
[0006]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an immersion heater according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the immersion heater according to the present invention installed in a molten metal tank, and FIG. It is a top view of the state installed in the tank. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 10 denotes an immersion heater, a column member 11 extending in the vertical direction, a hanging piece 15 protruding rightward (backward direction) from the upper end of the column member 11, and leftward (front) from the lower end of the column member 11. Radiating tube 20 projecting in the direction).
[0007]
The column member 11 is formed in a rectangular parallelepiped shape with a refractory heat insulating material mainly composed of alumina, and a truncated cone-shaped boss portion 12 having a small diameter toward the left is integrally formed at a lower portion thereof. As shown, a horizontal fitting hole 13 is formed through the lower end portion from the right surface (back surface) side of the support column member 11 to the left surface (front surface) side through the axial center portion of the boss portion 12. The fitting hole 13 is formed in a tapered shape having a small diameter on the left side and a large diameter on the right side.
[0008]
Further, the above-described heat radiating tube 20 is formed in an elongated cylindrical shape whose left end is closed by ceramic and whose right end is open, and the outer diameter of the right end portion 20a is a taper having a small diameter on the left side and a large diameter on the right side. The electric heater 21 is accommodated inside. The heat radiating tube 20 is inserted into the fitting hole 13 of the column member 11 from the right surface side to the left, and the right end portion 20a is taper-fitted to the fitting hole 13 with the adhesive 14 therebetween. Are integrally fixed, and the left surface of the fitting hole 13 is closed by the plug 11a.
[0009]
Moreover, the above-mentioned hanging piece 15 is engaged with an upper edge of a side wall 25a of the molten metal tank 25 described later, and is formed in a box shape whose lower surface is opened by a steel plate, and its left (front) 15a side is formed. Covering the upper end of the column member 11 and fixing it integrally with an adhesive and a set bolt, the right part (back surface) 15b is protruded from the column member 11 in the right (back surface) direction, and this right part (back surface) 15b. Two pipes 16 are erected in the vertical direction at the center in the left and right direction and fixed by welding, and a pair of engagement holes 17 (FIG. 1) penetrating the right part 15b of the hanging piece 15 with the pipe 16 in the vertical direction. Form.
[0010]
A pair of hanging metal fittings 18 is attached to the upper part of the column member 11, that is, the upper surface of the left part 15 a of the hanging piece 15, and the terminal cover 19 is attached to the upper surface of the left part 15 a between the hanging metal parts 18. The terminal cover 19 surrounds and protects the terminal portion 21 a of the electric heater 21 exposed on the upper surface of the column member 11.
[0011]
In FIG. 2, reference numeral 25 denotes a molten metal tank (holding furnace) for storing a molten aluminum alloy 27 that has flowed out of the melting furnace, and its upper surface is closed by an openable and closable top plate 26. A pair of metal engagement pins 28 protrude and be fixed upward at predetermined locations on the side wall 25a of the molten metal tank 25. The engagement pin 28 can be fitted and removed from the engagement hole 17 of the above-described hook piece 15.
[0012]

In addition, the back of the support member is abutted and supported by the inner surface of the side wall of the molten metal tank. For this reason, the immersion heater is securely and stably locked to the side wall of the molten metal tank. Further, since the heat radiating tube is taper-fitted to the support member, the contact area of the joint portion between the two becomes large, stress concentration hardly occurs, and the joint strength between the two becomes high. For this reason, it will endure sufficiently the buoyancy or resistance caused by the molten metal. In addition, the back side of the support member is not immersed in the molten metal, and the lead wire passing through the inside becomes difficult to be thermally damaged. In addition, since it is supported on the upper edge of the molten metal side wall via a hanging piece, the top plate can be easily opened and closed, and maintenance such as installation / removal from the immersion heater molten metal tank and inspection / cleaning can be performed safely. There are effects such as being able to be done quickly.
