【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a seat pad structure for a side airbag built-in seat in which a side airbag is built in a side portion of a seat back.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, airbags that reduce the impact on a seated person by inflating and projecting in the event of an accident such as a collision have been widely provided as protective devices equipped in automobiles and the like. And as this kind of airbag, for example, it is built in the side part of the seat back, and the seat occupant is doored by inflating and projecting forward from the seat back side part when the impact occurs, that is, to the side of the seat occupant. A so-called side airbag that protects against a wall surface such as the like is known.
[0003]
Such a side airbag is generally formed by placing an activation device called an inflator inside, and when an impact caused by a collision of an automobile is detected by an impact sensor, gas is generated (injected) in the inflator. And by ignition, it is configured to instantly expand and protrude from the seat back between the upper body of the seated person and the wall surface of the door or the like.
[0004]
The side airbag is normally folded into a predetermined shape in a contracted state, and is built into the side portion of the seat back by fixing the base to a bracket or the like of the seat back frame. And the side airbag inflated at the time of impact such as a collision has a stitched portion between the town portion located on the side surface of the trim cover of the seat back and the main portion consisting of the bent portion and the gap portion as a protruding port, It can be ruptured under a suture cut or the like, and can protrude outside, that is, in front of the seat back.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Here, as such a seat with a built-in side airbag, for example, a configuration in which the side airbag is housed and disposed in a hollow housing portion of a seat pad that is opened at the rear is known. According to such a configuration, since the front and sides of the side airbag are covered with the seat pad, it is possible to prevent a decrease in the cushioning property of the seat back due to the built-in side airbag.
[0006]
By the way, in such a configuration, the front in the protruding direction of the side airbag is covered by the front wall of the seat pad storage portion. Is required to burst. However, in the known configuration, the rupture position in the seat pad storage portion is not particularly specified. Therefore, the rupture position of the seat pad depends on various conditions such as the folded state of the side airbag and the tear strength of the seat pad. There is a risk of deviation from the initial planned position.
[0007]
When the rupture position of the seat pad deviates from the planned position, it becomes difficult to transmit the force to the stitched portion between the trim portion and the main portion of the trim cover. There is also a risk that rupture cannot be easily obtained.
[0008]
Here, by reducing the pad thickness of the front wall of the seat pad storage part as a whole, the tear strength of the seat pad is reduced, thereby enabling the specification of the rupture position of the seat pad Can be considered. However, if the thickness of the pad on the front wall of the seat pad storage portion is made thinner as described above, there is a possibility of adversely affecting the cushioning properties and the appearance of the seat cushion.
[0009]
Further, at the gas outlet of the inflator, the gas ejection direction is usually defined by a reflex plate or the like. However, this reflex plate only gives directionality in the circumferential direction around the axis of the inflator, so the side airbag is excessively inflated on the gas outlet side of the inflator, and the protruding direction is There is a risk of shifting in the vertical direction from the originally planned position.
[0010]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a seat pad structure for a seat with a built-in side air bag that specifies the burst starting point position of the seat pad accompanying the inflation of the side air bag and the direction in which the seat pad protrudes from the seat back.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
To this end, according to the present invention, among the front wall of the housing portion of the seat pad which is positioned in the protruding direction of the side air bag, one in the vertical direction including a portion aligned in the gas port of the inflator a Department predetermined range, and moreover, a cross section concave thin portion.

The above-described embodiments of the present invention are for explaining the present invention, and are not intended to limit the present invention. All modifications, alterations, etc. within the technical scope of the present invention are included in the present invention. It goes without saying that it is included in.
[0045]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the seat pad structure of the seat with a built-in side airbag according to the present invention, the seat pad ruptures starting from the thin portion having a substantially concave cross section provided on the front wall of the seat pad storage portion. The rupture position of the seat pad can be specified on the front wall of the storage unit.
[0046]
Further, it is sufficient to partially thin the front wall of the storage portion by forming a thin portion having a substantially concave cross section, thereby causing a decrease in the overall cushioning property of the seat pad and a deformation of the external shape. In addition, the rupture position of the seat pad can be easily specified.
[0047]
In addition, by defining one of the upper and lower wall surfaces of the storage portion adjacent to the gas outlet of the inflator in the vertical direction as a substantially flat guide wall along the protruding direction of the side airbag, the direction of gas ejection from the inflator Can be defined in the vertical direction, whereby the side airbag protrudes along the guide wall. Therefore, by specifying the protruding direction of the side airbag in the vertical direction, the occupant can be properly protected when protruding, and the protection effect of the side airbag can be sufficiently secured.
[0048]
And since a guide wall is only prescribed | regulated as an up-and-down wall of the accommodating part of a seat pad, complication of the shape of a seat pad and its structure can be prevented reliably.
[0049]
Further, since the formed continuously guide wall corresponding edge of the thin portion, the inflated side air bag is smoothly protruded thin portion from the guide wall. Therefore , also from this point, the quick protrusion of the side air bug can be further secured.
[0050]
Further, each peripheral surface of the seat pad storage portion is continuously covered with a predetermined cloth body, and a portion of the cloth body corresponding to the thin portion of the seat pad aligned with the gas outlet of the inflator is provided with a predetermined length. In the configuration in which the slit is formed, the strength of the tear strength between the thin part of the front wall and the other part of the peripheral surface of the storage part is further clarified, and the force accompanying the expansion of the side airbag concentrates on the thin part. For this reason, the thin portion of the side airbag can be ruptured more reliably.
[0051]
Therefore, the rupture of the seat pad in the storage portion can be obtained more reliably, and thereby the specification of the rupture position of the seat pad and the specification of the protruding direction of the side airbag can be further achieved.
