Description
【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a printing blanket, and more particularly to a printing blanket having a small paper feed during printing (good paper feedability), good texture, and good mounting property to a cylinder.
[0002]
[Prior art and problems]
Printing blankets used in high-speed offset printing machines include printing blankets provided with a compression layer. The compression layer is provided to prevent the peripheral length of the blanket from changing due to the bulge phenomenon even under pressure during operation of the offset printing machine, thereby eliminating the displacement of the printed image. Conventionally, a compression layer for obtaining the above-described effect has a high compressibility, that is, it should be easily deformed with a light pressing force. Therefore, in order to satisfactorily transmit the compressibility of the compression layer, it is considered that the distance between the surface layer and the compression layer that accepts the ink is preferably smaller, and between the surface layer and the compression layer. In general, a single reinforcing cloth is used to reinforce the blanket.
[0003]
However, on the other hand, if the compressibility of the blanket is large, there is a drawback that the printing pressure is insufficient and sufficient printing pressure cannot be obtained, and ink crushing deteriorates and printability is impaired.
[0004]
In order to obtain a sufficient printing pressure, two or more reinforcing cloths may be inserted between the surface layer and the compression layer (Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 63-30165). According to the present invention, by inserting two or more reinforcing cloths between the surface layer and the compression layer, a blanket having a high printing pressure is obtained by improving the apparent compression modulus without impairing the compressibility. Like that.
[0005]
However, in this case, since two or more reinforcing cloths are interposed, the result is that the circumferential stretch is limited, and the paper feedability is improved, but the flexibility is impaired, and it is attached to the cylinder. It has the disadvantage of resulting in a loss of properties and texture.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and in a printing blanket in which a plurality of reinforcing cloths are provided between a surface layer and a compression layer, by changing the flexibility of the reinforcing cloths, the paper feedability is good. Another object of the present invention is to provide a blanket for printing that has a good texture, is flexible, and has good wearability.
[0007]
[Means for solving problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a printing blanket according to the present invention comprises a surface layer for accepting transfer of ink, a compression layer provided under the surface layer, and two layers provided between the surface layer and the compression layer. In the printing blanket provided with the composite reinforcing layer having the above-mentioned reinforcing cloth, the uppermost modulus of the reinforcing cloth in the composite reinforcing cloth layer is made smaller than the lower reinforcing cloth to form a functional composite layer. It is said.
[0008]
According to the present invention, since the reinforcing cloth having a small modulus is provided on the uppermost portion, it is possible to provide a printing blanket that is flexible, has a good texture, and has good paper feedability.
[0009]
FIG. 1 shows a cross-sectional view of a specific configuration example of a printing blanket according to the present invention. As is clear from this drawing, the printing blanket of this specific example has two base fabric layers 11 as a base. As the layer 1, the compression layer 2 is provided on the upper side, and the composite reinforcing layer 3 in which the two reinforcing cloths 31 and 32 are stacked is provided. Further, the surface layer 4 is provided on the upper side. Yes.
[0010]
As the fabric constituting the base fabric layer 11 and the reinforcing fabric 3 as described above, those conventionally used in this type of printing blanket can be used effectively. For example, cotton cloth, rayon cloth, polyester cloth or the like can be used, and it may be a non-woven fabric or a woven fabric.
[0011]
The plurality of reinforcing cloths 3 provided between the surface layer 4 and the compression layer 2 as described above have a modulus of the uppermost reinforcing cloth 31 that is lower than that of the lower reinforcing cloth 32 below the uppermost reinforcing cloth 31. It is small and can hold flexibility. That is, the 2% modulus of the reinforcing cloth 31 is preferably 50 to 1000 kgf / m. If it is less than 50 kgf / m, the elongation may be too large and the paper feedability may be deteriorated. On the other hand, if it exceeds 1000 kgf / m, the flexibility may be impaired, and the texture and the mounting property to the body may be impaired. .
[0012]
On the other hand, the 2% modulus of the lower reinforcing cloth 32 provided below the uppermost reinforcing cloth 31 is preferably 500 to 3000 kgf / m. If it is less than 500 kgf / m, the paper feedability may be impaired. On the other hand, if it exceeds 3000 kgf / m, flexibility and texture may be impaired.
[0013]
In the above-described specific example, the number of reinforcing cloths of the reinforcing layer 3 is two, but is not limited to this, and may be two or more.
[0014]
As the base fabric used for the base layer 1 of the printing blanket as described above, a base fabric having a modulus equivalent to the reinforcing fabric 32 provided at the lower portion as described above is used. That is, it is preferable to use a modulus of 500 to 3000 kgf / m. By using such a base fabric, the printing blanket as a whole should have a modulus of 2% and 3000 to 9000 kgf / m. If it is less than 3000 kgf / m, the stability during high-speed operation is lacking. On the other hand, if it exceeds 9000 kgf / m, the flexibility is lacking and the wearability is poor.
[0015]
【Example】
Two commonly used blanket base fabrics with a 2% modulus of 2000 kgf / m are prepared and integrated with NBR to form a foundation layer, and a compressed layer comprising a 0.4 mm thick NBR foam layer Was established. Furthermore, after reinforcing fabrics 31 and 32 were integrally laminated by NBR, an NBR surface layer was formed to obtain a printing blanket. A blanket for printing was produced in which the 2% modulus of the reinforcing cloth 31 was 100 kgf / m, the 2% modulus of the reinforcing cloth 32 was 2000 kgf / m, and the overall 2% modulus was 6000 kgf / m (Example 1).
[0016]
A blanket base fabric having a commonly used 2% modulus of 2000 kgf / m was prepared, and a compression layer composed of an NBR foam layer having a thickness of 0.4 mm was provided. Further, after reinforcing fabrics 31, 31 'and 32 were integrally laminated by NBR, an NBR surface layer was formed to obtain a printing blanket. The 2% modulus of the reinforcing cloth 31 is 100 kgf / m, the 2% modulus of the reinforcing cloth 31 ′ is 1000 kgf / m, the 2% modulus of the reinforcing cloth 32 is 2000 kgf / m, and the overall 2% modulus is 5000 kgf / m. A printing blanket was manufactured (Example 2).
[0017]
For comparison, the same compression layer is provided on the base layer having the same configuration as in Example 1, and 2% modulus 2000 kgf / m of the reinforcing cloth 31 and 32% 2% modulus 100 kgf / m of 32 are integrally laminated by NBR. A printing blanket having a total 2% modulus of 6000 kgf / m was manufactured (Comparative Example 1).
[0018]
In addition, as a general type that is widely available as a commercial product, three commonly used blanket base fabrics with a 2% modulus of 2000 kgf / m are prepared and integrated with NBR to form a foundation layer and thick. A compression layer made of a 0.4 mm thick NBR foam layer was provided. Furthermore, after reinforcing fabric 31 was integrally laminated by NBR, an NBR surface layer was formed to form a printing blanket. The 2% modulus of the reinforcing cloth 31 was 100 kgf / m (Comparative Example 2).
[0019]
The above configuration is summarized and shown in the following table.
[0020]
[0021]
The results are shown in Table 2.
[0022]
In Table 2, the 2% modulus was measured by separating (peeling) the integrated blanket into each layer. Therefore, the cloth layer including the NBR rubber layer for integration is measured. The modulus of the rubber layer is sufficiently lower than that of the cloth layer, but the measurement is performed in a state in which the rubber is soaked in the cloth layer, and therefore the modulus tends to be slightly higher than that of the cloth layer alone. Therefore, the measurement is performed on a sample in a functionally close state.
[0023]
The texture was measured by preparing a 3 × 15 cm test piece, fixing one end, attaching a 20 g weight to the other end, and measuring the angle of bending. That is, the angle of the line connecting the other end and one end was measured with the horizontal as 0 degree.
[0024]
[0025]
As described above, according to the printing blanket of the present invention, the texture can be improved without impairing the paper feedability, which is extremely practical.
[0026]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the printing blanket according to the present invention, in the printing blanket in which a plurality of reinforcing cloths are provided between the surface layer and the compression layer, by changing the modulus of the reinforcing cloth, the paper feedability is good. In addition, there is an advantage that it is possible to provide a blanket for printing that has a good texture, is flexible, and has good wearability.
