【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、犬、猫等のペットに使用するペット用使い捨ておむつ及びペット用使い捨ておむつの製造方法に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
犬、猫等のペットに使用するペット用使い捨ておむつは、従来、特許２９８３９２９号公報に記載されるように、おむつ本体の腹当て部から背当て部に跨がって設けられた不織布製の内側シートとプラスチック製の外側シートとの間にパルプ、高分子吸収剤等からなる尿吸収体が介在され、腹当て部と背当て部との間に尻尾穴が設けられている。

そして、この使い捨ておむつの使用に際しては、おむつ本体の腹当て部をペットの腹側に、背当て部をペットの背中側に夫々あてがい、その腹当て部と背当て部とをファスナーテープで止めてペットに装着する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の使い捨ておむつは、ペットから排泄された尿を尿吸収体で吸収し、糞をおむつ本体の内側で受けるようになっている。このためペットが糞をした場合には直ぐに新しいものと交換する等、適切な措置を講じる必要があり、糞の排泄後にそのまま放置しておけば、糞がペットの肛門部の周辺部分に付着して、その後の措置が煩わしくなる欠点がある。

本発明は、このような従来の問題点に鑑み、ペットが排泄する糞を受け取ることができると共に、その糞のペットに対する付着を防止できるペット用使い捨ておむつを提供すること、及びガゼット部付きの糞ポケットを備えたペット用使い捨ておむつを容易に製造できるペット用使い捨ておむつの製造方法を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、おむつ本体１の長手方向に、尿吸収体４が介在された腹当て部２と、背当て部３と、これらの中間に配置され且つ尻尾穴１９，２０が設けられた尻当て部６とを備え、前記おむつ本体１の幅方向の両側にその長手方向に沿ってフィットギャザー１６を備えたペット用使い捨ておむつにおいて、前記おむつ本体１は通気性、通水性を有する内側シート８と、その外側に重合状に接着又は溶着された外側シート９とを長手方向の略全長に備え、前記尿吸収体４は前記内側シート８と前記外側シート９との間に介在され、前記腹当て部２と前記背当て部３との間で前記内側シート８に糞排泄穴１８と内側尻尾穴１９とが前記長手方向の長穴状に設けられると共に、前記外側シート９に、前記内側尻尾穴１９に対応する外側尻尾穴２０が設けられ、前記内側シート８と前記外側シート９との間に、前記糞排泄穴１８及び前記尻尾穴１９，２０から前記尿吸収体４の外側にわたり且つ左右両側に前記外側シート９により形成されたサイドガゼット部２５を有する糞ポケット２１が設けられている。

また前記糞ポケット２１はその下側に前記外側シート９により形成されたボトムガゼット部３１を有する。通気性を有する前記外側シート９の内側に、前記尿吸収体４及び前記糞ポケット２１の全体を外側から覆う漏れ防止フィルム５が設けられ、前記外側シート９及び前記漏れ防止フィルム５に前記ガゼット部２５，３１が設けられている。

前記尿吸収体４の外側で該尿吸収体４と前記外側シート９との間に前記糞ポケット２１の下部側が設けられている。前記糞ポケット２１の上側で前記外側シート９に糞排出部３５が設けられている。前記糞排出部３５は開封可能に設けられている。

本発明の方法は、ペット用使い捨ておむつを製造するに際して、前記外側シート９の内側に、その糞ポケット形成領域２７を除く所定領域に接着剤２６を塗布し、前記糞ポケット形成領域２７の幅方向の両側を通る折れ線２９，３０、３２，３３で前記外側シート９を折り畳んで前記ガゼット部２５，３１を形成し、その後に前記内側シート８と前記外側シート９とを前記吸収体４等の介在物を挟んで前記接着剤２６により接着する。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の各実施形態を図面に基づいて詳述する。図１〜図６は本発明のペット用使い捨ておむつの第１の実施形態を例示する。このペット用使い捨ておむつは、図６に示すようにペットＡのウエスト部から後側に装着して使用するものであり、図１〜図５に示すように、おむつ本体１の長手方向に、ペットＡの腹側に当てる腹当て部２と、ペットＡの背中側に当てる背当て部３とを備えている。

おむつ本体１内には、その腹当て部２側に配置された尿吸収体４と、腹当て部２と背当て部３との間に配置された糞ポケット２１と、これらの尿吸収体４及び糞ポケット２１に跨がってその外側に配置された漏れ防止フィルム５とが介在されている。おむつ本体１は、少なくとも背当て部３側、即ち漏れ防止フィルム５に対応する部分以外が通気性を有する構造になっている。

おむつ本体１は、その内外両側に腹当て部２から中間の尻当て部６を経て背当て部３の略全長に跨がる不織布製の内側シート８と外側シート９とを有し、長手方向の両端側が中間部分よりも幅方向の両側に突出する広幅状の広幅部分１０，１１となっている。

そして、腹当て部２側の広幅部分１０に、その端縁に沿って幅方向に一方のウエストバンド１２が設けられると共に、このウエストバンド１２よりも長手方向の内側で幅方向の両端部にファスナーテープ１３が設けられている。また背当て部３側の広幅部分１１に、その端縁に沿って幅方向に他方のウエストバンド１４とファスナーシート１５とが設けられている。なお、ファスナーシート１５は他方のウエストバンド１４よりも長手方向の内側に配置されている。

おむつ本体１の両広幅部分１０，１１間には、幅方向の両側にその端縁に沿って長手方向のフィットギャザー１６が設けられ、このフィットギャザー１６よりも幅方向の内側に長手方向のサイドギャザー１７が設けられている。

腹当て部２と背当て部３との中間の尻当て部６の内側シート８には、ペットＡの肛門部に対応する糞排泄穴１８と、ペットＡの尻尾Ｂを通す内側尻尾穴１９とが設けられ、また漏れ防止フィルム５及び外側シート９に内側尻尾穴１９に対応する外側尻尾穴２０が設けられている。そして、おむつ本体１の内部、即ち内側シート８と外側シート９との間には、尻当て部６側の糞排泄穴１８、内側尻尾穴１９及び外側尻尾穴２０から腹当て部２側の尿吸収体４の外側にわたる所定の範囲に糞ポケット２１が設けられている。

内側シート８及び外側シート９には、尿等を通す通水性と空気を内外に通す通気性とを有する材料、例えばプラスチック繊維、その他の繊維により構成された不織布製の不織布シートが使用されており、尿吸収体４等の介在部分と糞ポケット２１とを除く略全面でホットメルト接着、その他により両者が内外に重合状に接着又は溶着されている。

内側シート８は、センターシート２２とその幅方向の両側のサイドシート２３とにより構成されている。センターシート２２は少なくとも尿吸収体４を覆う幅を有し、おむつ本体１の幅方向の中央部分にその長手方向の略全長にわたって設けられ、外側シート９に対応する部分がその外側シート９に接着又は溶着されている。

各サイドシート２３はおむつ本体１の幅方向の両側部に配置され、センターシート２２よりも外側で外側シート９に接着又は溶着されると共に、センターシート２２の幅方向の両端部の内面側に接着又は溶着され、このセンターシート２２との接着又は溶着部分よりも幅方向の内側が尿等の横漏れを防止するサイドギャザー１７となっている。

フィットギャザー１６はペットＡの後脚Ｄの付け根部におむつ本体１をフィットさせるためのもので、外側シート９とサイドシート２３との間に長手方向に沿って介在されたゴム紐等の弾性紐１６ａを有し、尿吸収体４の両側から糞排泄穴１８の両側に跨がる範囲に設けられている。

サイドギャザー１７は、その内端縁に長手方向に沿って配置されたゴム紐等の弾性紐１７ａを有し、尿吸収体４の両側から内側尻尾穴１９の両側又はその近傍に跨がる範囲に設けられている。

尿吸収体４はペットＡが排泄した尿を吸収するためのもので、パルプ、高分子吸収剤等からなり、おむつ本体１の腹当て部２側の幅方向の中央部分に、そのウエストバンド１２の近傍から糞排泄穴１８の近傍にわたって偏平状に介在されている。なお、尿吸収体４はペットＡが排泄した尿を吸収できるものであれば、パルプ、高分子吸収剤等以外のものを使用しても良い。

漏れ防止フィルム５は、尿吸収体４に吸収された尿、糞ポケット２１内に排泄された糞の水分等の外側への漏れを防止するためのもので、尿吸収体４及び糞ポケット２１の外側に対応するように、外側シート９の内側に貼り付けられている。この漏れ防止フィルム５は防水性を有するプラスチック製のフィルム等により構成され、尿吸収体４と糞ポケット２１との全体を外側から完全に覆うように設けられている。

なお、外側シート９に通水性を有する不織布等のシート材を使用する場合でも、漏れ防止フィルム５は糞ポケット２１側を除くように、尿吸収体４に対応してそれよりも若干広い範囲に設けることも可能である。

漏れ防止フィルム５は、その外側面の略全面、一部又は少なくとも外周縁部が外側シート９にホットメルト接着、その他により接着又は溶着され、また尿吸収体４が動かないように内側面の外周縁部がセンターシート２２及び／又はサイドシート２３にホットメルト接着、その他により接着又は溶着されている。なお、漏れ防止フィルム５には、防水処理を施した薄手の紙等を使用しても良い。

内側尻尾穴１９と糞排泄穴１８は、腹当て部２と背当て部３との中間の尻当て部６の幅方向の略中央に、その内側尻尾穴１９が背当て部３側となり糞排泄穴１８が腹当て部２となるように、おむつ本体１の長手方向に連続する長穴状に設けられている。そして、糞排泄穴１８は大径丸穴状に形成され、また内側尻尾穴１９はこの糞排泄穴１８に連続し且つ糞排泄穴１８よりも小さい小径穴状に形成され、両者が全体として略ダルマ穴状になっている。

糞排泄穴１８はペットＡの肛門部に対応させたときに、排泄された糞がおむつ本体１等に付着しないように、肛門部の後側を十分に開放し得る程度の大きさである。また糞排泄穴１８と内側尻尾穴１９は、ペットＡに対しておむつ本体１を装着した場合に、ペットＡの尻尾Ｂが内側尻尾穴１９を通り、且つ糞排泄穴１８がペットＡの肛門部に対応してその後側を開放する程度の長さになっている。なお、糞排泄穴１８、内側尻尾穴１９、外側尻尾穴２０は幅方向の中央部分に配置されている。

糞ポケット２１はペットＡから排泄された糞を受けて溜めるためのものであり、この糞ポケット２１は、少なくとも装着状態において糞排泄穴１８よりも下の尿吸収体４側に糞溜まり部２４ができるように、おむつ本体１内の幅方向の中央部分で内側シート８と外側シート９との間に設けられている。糞溜まり部２４の下側は、尿吸収体４の長手方向の中間位置の外側に達する長さになっている。なお、糞溜まり部２４の下側は、尿吸収体４の近傍までとしても良い。

この糞ポケット２１はシングルガゼット式であって、外側が漏れ防止フィルム５付きの外側シート９により形成されると共に、この外側シート９を折り畳んで形成されたサイドガゼット部２５が左右両側に設けられており、そのサイドガゼット部２５により糞溜まり部２４側に所定の容積を確保するようになっている。従って、ペットＡから排泄された糞は、内側シート８の糞排泄穴１８を経て糞ポケット２１内に入り、その糞排泄穴１８よりも下側の糞溜まり部２４に溜まる。

サイドガゼット部２５は、ペット用使い捨ておむつの製造過程において、次のようにして形成する。即ち、ペット用使い捨ておむつの製造に際しては、例えば内側シート８と外側シート９とを帯状の原反状態で連続的に送りながら、図１に示すように、外側シート９の糞ポケット形成領域２７の幅方向の両側にサイドガゼット部２５を送り方向に形成する。

外側シート９に不織布シートを使用する場合には、サイドガゼット部２５を形成する前に、例えば図５（Ａ）に示すように先ず外側シート９の内側の所定箇所に、漏れ防止フィルム５をホットメルト接着又は熱シール等により接着し、次に漏れ防止フィルム５付きの外側シート９を、その漏れ防止フィルム５の幅方向の両側を通り且つ糞ポケット形成領域２７（図１参照）の幅方向の両側を通る２つの長手方向の折れ線２９，３０に沿ってＺ状に折り畳んでガゼット仕上げを行う。

このようにして漏れ防止フィルム５付きの外側シート９をガゼット仕上げした後に、図５（Ｂ）に示すように外側シート９の内側に、糞ポケット形成領域２７を除いて、漏れ防止フィルム５を含む所定領域にホットメルト接着剤２６を塗布する。そして、次に図１に示すように尿吸収体４、ウエストバンド１２，１４、フィットギャザー１６用の弾性紐１６ａ等を所定位置に介在した状態で、外側シート９と内側シート８とを重ね合わせてホットメルト接着剤２６により接着する。

勿論、内側シート８と外側シート９とを接着する前には、尿吸収体４、ウエストバンド１２，１４、フィットギャザー１６用の弾性紐１６ａ等が動かないように、内側シート８の内側にも糞ポケット形成領域２７を除く所要領域にホットメルト接着剤を塗布しておく。

なお、サイドガゼット部２５は、糞ポケット形成領域２７の幅方向の両側を通る２つの長手方向の折れ線２９，３０に沿って外側シート９をＺ状に折り畳むことにより、糞ポケット２１の左右両側に形成するが、糞ポケット形成領域２７以外の部分では、ホットメルト接着剤を塗布しておいて外側シート９の折り畳み部分を接着する。熱シールでも良い。

またホットメルト接着剤２６は、サイドガゼット部２５の形成後に糞ポケット形成領域２７を除いて外側シート９の所定領域に塗布するが、ホットメルト接着剤付きの弾性紐１６ａを使用する場合には、サイドギャザー形成領域２８にはホットメルト接着剤２６を塗布しない。

内側シート８の糞排泄穴１８、内側尻尾穴１９、外側シート９の外側尻尾穴２０は、内側シート８と外側シート９との接着前に形成しておいても良いし、接着以降の段階で形成しても良い。またおむつ本体１の外形状の切断は、一般的には内側シート８と外側シート９との接着後に行う。

このようにすれば、内側シート８と外側シート９との間に、左右両側にサイドガゼット部２５が形成された糞ポケット２１を容易に設けることができ、ペット用使い捨ておむつ自体の製造を容易にできる。

ウエストバンド１２，１４はプラスチック製等の弾性帯からなり、内側シート８と外側シート９との間に介在してホットメルト接着、その他により接着又は溶着されている。なお、ウエストバンド１２，１４は省略しても良い。ファスナーシート１５はホットメルト接着、その他によりおむつ本体１の外側面に接着又は溶着されている。ファスナーテープ１３は、ファスナーシート１５に貼付して止めるためのもので、おむつ本体１の幅方向の両端に設けられ、通常はおむつ本体１の内側に折り込まれている。

このペット用使い捨ておむつを使用する場合には、犬等のペットＡに対して６６に示すように装着する。装着に際しては、犬等のペットＡの股間を経て腹当て部２が腹側となり、背当て部３が背中側となるようにおむつ本体１をあてがい、幅方向の両側のファスナーテープ１３をファスナーシート１５に貼着する。

装着状態では、ウエストバンド１２，１４により腹当て部２及び背当て部３が適度な締まりでペットＡのウエスト部分に巻き付き、またフィットギャザー１６が適度な締まりで後脚Ｄの付け根部に巻き付いて、おむつ本体１でペットＡのウエスト部から後側を包み込む。

この場合、おむつ本体１の糞排泄穴１８をペットＡの肛門部に対応させておれば、糞ポケット２１はその糞溜まり部２４が糞排泄穴１８の下側になる。糞ポケット２１には、内側シート８の内側尻尾穴１９に対応して外側シート９に形成された外側尻尾穴２０があるので、その両尻尾穴１９，２０に尻尾Ｂを通せば良く、糞ポケット２１が尻尾Ｂの邪魔になることはない。

ペットＡが糞を排泄した場合には、その糞は糞排泄穴１８を経て糞ポケット２１に入り、その下側の糞溜まり部２４に溜まる。従って、従来のおむつ本体１の内側で糞を受ける場合のようにペットＡの肛門部の周辺に糞が付着することはない。また糞ポケット２１の糞溜まり部２４に糞が溜まっているので、使用後には糞の入った糞ポケット２１をおむつ本体１に丸め込んでファスナーテープ１３で止めて廃棄する等、使用後の処理も容易にできる。

糞ポケット２１はおむつ本体１の内側シート８と外側シート９とを利用して形成しているので、糞ポケット２１を形成するために別な材料を設ける必要がなく、材料の無駄を防止できる。しかも、糞ポケット２１の両側にサイドガゼット部２５があるため、糞溜まり部２４の容積を十分に確保できる。

更に糞ポケット２１のサイドガゼット部２５は、外側シート９を折り畳んで形成しているため、その製造が容易であると共に、内側シート８に形成する場合に比較して、糞排泄穴１８から糞ポケット２１に入る糞を外側シート９で圧迫するようなこともなく、糞ポケット２１内に入った糞を容易に糞溜まり部２４に溜めることができる。

夏等の暑い季節に使い捨ておむつを装着する場合、おむつ本体１の内部の温度、湿度等が上昇して蒸れが発生する惧れがある。しかし、この使い捨ておむつでは、内側シート８の他に外側シート９に不織布シートが使用されており、おむつ本体１の少なくとも背当て部３、即ち尿吸収体４、糞ポケット２１の外側の漏れ防止フィルム５に対応する部分以外の部分を、通気性を有する不織布により構成しているので、漏れ防止フィルム５に対応する部分以外では常に所定の通気性を確保できる。

従って、おむつ本体１、取り分けその背当て部３側に所定の通気性があるため、夏等の暑い季節でも内部の蒸れの発生を極力少なくできる。このためペットＡは、装着状態でも快適に過ごすことができる。

また外側シート９に通気性を有する不織布シートを使用しているにも拘らず、尿吸収体４とその外側の外側シート９との間に漏れ防止フィルム５を設けているので、尿吸収体４に吸収された尿が漏れた場合でも、その尿が外側シート９側に漏れることはない。

更に糞ポケット２１の外側シート９の内側には、両側のサイドガゼット部２５を含む範囲に漏れ防止フィルム５が接着されているので、糞ポケット２１内の糞が多量の水分を含む場合にも、その水分を尿吸収体４で吸収でき、水分が外側シート９を通過して外側に漏れるようなこともない。

図７は本発明の第２の実施形態を例示する。このペット用使い捨ておむつは、外側シート９に不織布シートに代えて、防水性を有するポリエチレンフィルム等のプラスチックフィルムを使用したものである。このように外側シート９が防水性を有するシート材の場合には、図７（Ａ）に示すように漏れ防止フィルム５を省略できる。また尿吸収体４は、図７（Ｂ）に示すように粉砕パルプ又は吸水性ポリマ含有粉砕パルプ４ａ等を使用し、それを吸水紙４ｂで包んで構成することも可能である。

図８〜図１０は本発明の第３の実施形態を例示する。このペット用使い捨ておむつは、図８〜図１０に示すように、糞ポケット２１がその左右両側のサイドガゼット部２５と、下側のボトムガゼット部３１とを備えたダブルガゼット式になっている。なお、他の構成は第１又は２の実施形態と同じである。

このペット用使い捨ておむつを製造する場合には、第１又は２の実施形態と同様に漏れ防止フィルム５付きの外側シート９等に、糞ポケット形成領域２７の左右両側で外側シート９を折り畳んでサイドガゼット部２５を形成し、次いで外側シート９を、その糞ポケット形成領域２７の尿吸収体４側を通る２つの幅方向の折れ線３２，３３に沿ってＺ状に折り畳んでボトムガゼット部３１を形成する。

なお、糞ポケット形成領域２７以外の外側シート９の折り畳み部分は、ホットメルト接着剤又は熱シールにより接着する。

そして、サイドガゼット部２５、ボトムガゼット部３１が形成された外側シート９上にホットメルト接着剤２６を塗布し、その後に第１又は第２の実施形態と同様に尿吸収体４、内側シート８等を重ねて、その内側シート８と外側シート９とをホットメルト接着剤２６により接着する。

このように糞ポケット２１にサイドガゼット部２５とボトムガゼット部３１とを設けることにより、第１又は第２の実施形態のシングルガゼット式に比較して、糞ポケット２１の糞溜まり部２４の容積を更に大にでき、糞排泄穴１８から入った糞を糞溜まり部２４の下側に溜まり易くできる。

図１１は本発明の第４の実施形態を例示する。このペット用使い捨ておむつは、図１１に示すようにサイドガゼット部２５を有するシングルガゼット式の糞ポケット２１を備え、この糞ポケット２１の外の外側シート９に、その糞ポケット形成領域２７を除く領域にホットメルト接着剤２６が線又はすじ状に連続的又は間欠的に塗布されている。

図１２は本発明の第５の実施形態を例示する。このペット用使い捨ておむつは、図１２に示すようにサイドガゼット部２５、ボトムガゼット部３１を有するダブルガゼット式の糞ポケット２１を備え、この糞ポケット２１の外の外側シート９に、その糞ポケット形成領域２７を除く領域にホットメルト接着剤２６が線又はすじ状に連続的又は間欠的に塗布されている。

この第４、第５の実施形態に例示するように、糞ポケット２１がシングルガゼット式、ダブルガゼット式の何れであるかを問わず、ホットメルト接着剤２６を塗布する場合には、外側シート９の所定領域に線又はすじ状に塗布することも可能である。

この場合、ホットメルト接着剤２６は、図１１、図１２に示すように幅方向に所定の間隔を置いて長手方向に塗布すれば良く、これによって製造時の作業性が向上する。ただし、ウエストバンド１２，１４の周辺領域３６は、図１１及び図１２に示すようにホットメルト接着剤２６を内側シート８側に塗布することが望ましい。

なお、ダブルガゼット式の場合には、糞溜まり部２４が膨らみ易いので、図１２に示すように、ボトムガゼット部３１が尿吸収体４の端部近傍、又は尿吸収体４よりも糞排泄穴１８側に位置するように構成する等、糞ポケット２１の長さを短くすることも可能である。

図１３は本発明の第６の実施形態を例示する。このペット用使い捨ておむつは、図１３に示すようにおむつ本体１の背当て部３側に通気穴３４が形成されると共に、糞ポケット２１の上側、例えば外側尻尾穴２０の上側近傍等に糞排出部３５が形成されている。糞排出部３５は例えば外側シート９に形成された幅方向のミシン目等により構成され、必要に応じて開封できるようになっている。なお、他の構成は第２又は第４の実施形態と同じであるが、第１又は第３の実施形態と同じにしても良い。

このように背当て部３側に通気穴３４を設けることにより、おむつ本体１の通気性が更に向上する。また糞ポケット２１に糞排出部３５を設けておれば、その糞排出部３５から糞ポケット２１内の糞を排出できるので、ペット用使い捨ておむつと糞とを別々に処理できる。しかも、糞排出部３５は必要に応じて開封できるようにミシン目等により構成しておれば、開口状にしておく場合に比べて、糞排出部３５が邪魔になるようなこともない。勿論、糞排出部３５は開口状に形成しても良い。
