BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a brake control device, and more particularly to a brake control device suitable as a device for controlling a braking force of a vehicle.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 7-81540, a brake control device including a master cylinder that generates a hydraulic pressure corresponding to a brake pedal force and a pump that generates a predetermined hydraulic pressure regardless of the brake pedal force It has been known. In the above-described conventional apparatus, the suction side of the pump communicates with the reservoir tank via the reservoir cut valve. The discharge side of the pump communicates with the wheel cylinder. On the other hand, the master cylinder communicates with the wheel cylinder via a master cut valve.
[0003]
In the above-described conventional apparatus, when the pump is stopped and the wheel cylinder and the master cylinder are brought into conduction, the wheel cylinder pressure P W / C The master cylinder pressure P M / C The hydraulic pressure can be controlled to be equal to. Therefore, in this case, a braking force corresponding to the brake pedaling force can be generated. In the above-described conventional apparatus, when the pump and the reservoir tank are brought into a conducting state, the pump is brought into an operating state, and the master cylinder and the wheel cylinder are shut off, the wheel cylinder pressure P is set using the pump as a hydraulic pressure source. W / C Can be boosted. Therefore, in this case, the wheel cylinder pressure P W / C A larger braking force can be generated than by increasing the pressure.
[0004]
As described above, according to the conventional brake control device, by controlling the states of the master cut valve, the reservoir cut valve, and the pump, the normal state in which the braking force corresponding to the brake depression force is generated, and the normal control time A brake assist state (hereinafter referred to as a BA state) that generates a larger braking force than that can be selectively realized.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the above-described conventional brake control device is independently provided with a hydraulic pressure passage for guiding the brake fluid stored in the reservoir tank to the pump. Hereinafter, such a structure in which the pump sucks the brake fluid directly from the reservoir tank is referred to as an outline structure.
[0006]
Foil cylinder pressure P using the master cylinder as the hydraulic pressure source W / C The normal state in which the pressure is increased, and the wheel cylinder pressure P with the pump as the hydraulic pressure source W / C In addition to the outline structure described above, a structure that selectively supplies the brake fluid that flows out from the master cylinder to one of the wheel cylinder and the pump is conceivable as a structure that selectively realizes the BA state for boosting the pressure. Hereinafter, the structure in which the pump sucks the brake fluid that has flowed out of the master cylinder is referred to as an inline structure.
[0007]
According to the inline structure, there is no need to provide a hydraulic pressure passage for directly connecting the reservoir tank and the pump. For this reason, according to an inline structure, a hydraulic circuit can be simply comprised compared with an outline structure. In this regard, the inline structure has superior characteristics compared to the outline structure.
However, in the brake control device having the inline structure, it is expected that the brake reaction force is temporarily greatly reduced immediately after the state of the device is changed from the normal state to the BA state. While the brake control device with the inline structure is maintained in a normal state, that is, while the brake fluid flowing out from the master cylinder is supplied to the wheel cylinder, the pressure in the hydraulic passage communicating with the suction side of the pump is kept low. This is because, after that, when the state of the apparatus changes to the BA state, a large amount of brake fluid temporarily flows out from the master cylinder toward the suction side of the pump.
[0008]
In order to maintain a good brake feeling when the state of the apparatus changes from the normal state to the BA state, it is desirable that the brake reaction force does not change greatly after the BA state is realized. Therefore, in realizing the brake control device that realizes the normal state and the BA state, it is necessary to consider this point when adopting the inline structure.
[0009]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described points, and an object thereof is to provide an inline-structure brake control device that does not greatly reduce the brake reaction force when changing from the normal state to the BA state. To do.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, a master cylinder that generates a hydraulic pressure corresponding to a brake pedal force, a pump that pumps brake fluid to a wheel cylinder, the master cylinder, a wheel cylinder, In a brake control device comprising a switching mechanism connected to one of the pumps,
In a normal state, the master cylinder conducts a normal state in which the master cylinder conducts to the wheel cylinder, and the master cylinder conducts to the pump when a predetermined situation involving generation of a brake pedal force is detected, and the pump State control means for realizing a brake assist state in which
After the predetermined situation is detected The brake assist state by the state control means Ends Until before Control the flow rate of brake fluid flowing out of the master cylinder Then stop the suppression It is achieved by a brake control device comprising a flow rate suppression means.
[0011]
The brake control device according to the present invention employs an inline structure in which the pump sucks the brake fluid that has flowed out of the master cylinder. Further, according to the brake control device of the present invention, the normal state is realized at the normal time, and the brake assist state is realized when a predetermined situation involving the generation of the brake pedal force is detected.
[0012]
In the present invention, when a predetermined situation involving the generation of the brake pedal force is detected, the flow rate of the brake fluid flowing out from the master cylinder is subsequently suppressed over a predetermined period. When the flow rate of the brake fluid flowing out from the master cylinder is suppressed, a significant reduction in the brake reaction force is avoided. Therefore, according to the present invention, when the state of the apparatus changes from the normal state to the brake assist state, the brake reaction force does not significantly decrease.
