Description

【0001】
具体的にはペンタン(SP7.02、BP36.1℃)、ヘキサン(SP7.27、BP68.7℃)、ヘプタン(SP7.50、BP102.9℃)、オクタン(SP7.54、BP123.0℃)、デカン(SP7.74、BP172.5℃)、ドデカン(SP7.92、BP214.3℃)、1−シクロヘキシルドデカン(SP7.84、BP329.0℃)などがあげられ、これらは1種もしくは2種以上が使用できる。 Journal of Paint Technology Vol.42,No.541 1970 の記載に準ずる。
【0011】

[Field of the Invention]
The present invention relates to a method for easily determining the degree of toning of a metallic paint.
[0002]
[Prior art]
To prepare a metallic paint that has the same or similar paint color as the metallic paint that has already been painted, test paint and harden the metallic paint during or after toning. It is common practice to compare and observe the metallic coating to determine the degree of toning.
[0003]
However, the surface layer of a metallic coating (toned coating) that has already been painted is usually excellent in gloss because it is covered with a clear coating, whereas the test coating of a metallic coating for toning is applied. The surface is not coated with the clear coating, and the gloss of the single coating is inferior to the metallic coating of the toned coating coated with the clear coating.
[0004]
Therefore, since the glossiness of the painted surface is different between the already painted metallic coating film and the test coating film of the metallic paint during or after toning, the degree of toning is compared by comparing the two painted surfaces. Was very difficult to observe.
[0005]
In addition, if the clear paint is further applied to the test paint film surface, the mismatch in gloss can be resolved, but the application of the clear paint will increase the cost, may cause metallic unevenness, and require additional steps. There are defects such as complexity. There is also a defect that the test piece cannot be reused unless it is completely dried.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned various defects, and to improve the gloss of a metallic coating film (which is usually provided with a clear coating film), and a metallic paint during or after toning. A method for approximating or matching the glossiness of the test coating film by a simple method without using a clear paint was found. As a result, the two coated surfaces could be compared without causing various defects due to the use of the clear coating and without being affected by the gloss of the coated surfaces, and the toning operation could be simplified.
[0007]
That is, in the present invention, when comparing the coated surface A of the metallic paint during or after the toning with the metallic coated surface B of the target color, the coated surface A dried or cured to a touch-dry or more is metallic. The present invention relates to a toning determination method , which comprises applying an organic solvent that does not cause unevenness to wet it to make it slimy, and comparing the coated surface A with the metallic coated surface B of a target color while wet .
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the present invention, the coated surface A is a metallic coated surface made of a metallic paint during or after toning. Specifically, one or two or more metallic pigments selected from flaky metal powders such as aluminum and mica-like iron oxide, and flaky mica coated with mica and metal iron oxide, It is a metallic coated surface using a known metallic paint which is used in combination with an organic or inorganic coloring pigment or the like depending on the case. No clear paint was applied to the coated surface A. The color tone of the coated surface A and that of the target coating film (for example, the coated surface B) are visually compared.
[0009]
The painted surface A is coated on a test plate or the like with one or two or more metallic paints and, if necessary, a metallic paint obtained by mixing at an arbitrary ratio using a solid color paint or the like. By heating at room temperature or by heating according to the coating composition.
[0010]
In the present invention, it is essential that the coated surface A is wetted in advance with an organic solvent. The organic solvent is not particularly limited, but is preferably one having a solubility parameter (SP) of 7.0 to 8.0 and a boiling point (BP) of 30 to 350 ° C. Specifically, pentane (SP7.02, BP36.1 ° C), hexane (SP7.27, BP68.7 ° C), heptane (SP7.50, BP102.9 ° C), octane (SP7.54, BP123.0 ° C) ), Decane (SP7.74, BP 172.5 ° C), dodecane (SP7.92, BP214.3 ° C), 1-cyclohexyldecane (SP7.84, BP329.0 ° C), and the like. Two or more can be used. Of these, hexane and heptane are preferred. These SPs and BPs are described in Journal of Paint Technology Vol. 42, no. 541 1970.
[0011]
When these organic solvents are applied or moistened on the coated surface A dried or hardened to the touch or more by a spray or a brush or the like, a slimy state is obtained, and the gloss thereof is close to or equal to that of the coated surface B. As a result, And the color tone of the coated surface B can be easily compared and observed. The coating amount is not particularly limited as long as the coating surface is wet. It is compared with the coated surface B while it is wet.
[0012]
The painted surface B is a metallic painted surface of a target color, and usually includes a metallic coating film applied to an outer panel of an automobile, and these can be applied to a coating film of a new car or a used car.
[0013]
【The invention's effect】
1. Test of the metallic paint during or after toning The surface of the coated paint film (painted surface A) becomes slimy due to the wetting of the organic solvent, and its gloss approximates or matches that of painted surface B. The color tone of the surface B can be easily compared and observed. 2. The wetting organic solvent does not increase the cost or generate metallic unevenness, and the washing of the coating machine is extremely simple.
[0014]
3. Since the organic solvent that wets the coated surface A can be easily evaporated by air blow or the like, the coated surface A can be reused in a short time.
[0015]
