【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、通信結果をあらわす通信管理情報を保存する通信管理テーブルを備え、上記通信管理テーブルに所定数の通信管理情報が保存されると、上記通信管理テーブルに保存された通信管理情報の一覧表示をあらわす通信管理レポートを作成し、その通信管理レポートの画情報を、予め登録された宛先へ送信するとともに、その通信管理レポートに含まれる上記通信管理情報は、上記通信管理テーブルより削除するファクシミリ装置の制御方法、および、ファクシミリ伝送機能を備えたパーソナルコンピュータ装置との間で所定のファクシミリ伝送手順に従ってデータをやりとりする機能を備えるとともに、通信結果をあらわす通信管理情報を保存する通信管理テーブルを備え、上記通信管理テーブルに所定数の通信管理情報が保存されると、上記通信管理テーブルに保存された通信管理情報の一覧表示をあらわす通信管理レポートを作成し、その通信管理レポートの画情報を、予め登録された宛先へ送信するとともに、その通信管理レポートに含まれる上記通信管理情報は、上記通信管理テーブルより削除するファクシミリ装置の制御方法に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来より、ファクシミリ伝送機能を備えたパーソナルコンピュータ装置との間で所定のファクシミリ伝送手順に従ってデータをやりとりする機能を備えるとともに、通信結果をあらわす通信管理情報を保存する通信管理テーブルを備え、上記通信管理テーブルに所定数の通信管理情報が保存されると、上記通信管理テーブルに保存された通信管理情報の一覧表示をあらわす通信管理レポートを作成し、その通信管理レポートの画情報を、予め登録された宛先へ送信するとともに、その通信管理レポートに含まれる上記通信管理情報は、上記通信管理テーブルより削除するファクシミリ装置が実用されている。

また、通信管理レポートの内容を構成する通信管理情報は、通信管理レポートの作成後に通信管理テーブルより削除される。

また、予め登録される宛先としては、接続されたパーソナルコンピュータ装置を指定することもできる。また、通信管理レポートの出力は、上述したように、通信管理レポートの画情報を予め登録された宛先に送信することに限らず、自端末のプロッタから記録出力するように設定することもできる。

また、このようなファクシミリ装置では、通信管理レポートの出力を手動で指定できる手動モードも備えており、この手動モードが設定されている場合には、通信管理レポートの出力が手動で指定されない限り通信管理レポートを出力せず、また、通信管理テーブルの内容も消去しない。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、このような従来装置には、次のような不都合を生じていた。

すなわち、通信管理レポートの画情報送信時に、通信管理レポートの送信先として登録されている宛先のファクシミリ装置またはパーソナルコンピュータ装置が画情報を受信できない状態であるときには、管理者へ通信管理レポートを送信することができず、ファクシミリ装置の通信管理業務に支障をきたすという不具合を生じる。

また、通信管理レポートを自端末プロッタより記録出力するように設定したとき、他の通信にかかる受信原稿が通信管理レポートに重なってしまう場合があり、かかる場合には、その受信原稿の宛先ユーザが誤って通信管理レポートも持ち去ってしまうことがあり、管理者が通信管理レポートを得ることができないという不具合を生じる。

また、通信管理テーブルへの通信管理情報の保存数は、上限が定められているため、通信管理テーブルに上限数まで通信管理情報が保存されている状態で、さらに通信管理情報の保存が発生すると、通信管理テーブルに保存されている通信管理情報のうち、最も古いものが、新たに保存される通信管理情報で上書きされてしまうため、通信管理レポートの出力を手動モードに設定した場合、通信管理レポートの出力を忘れていると、必要な通信管理情報を入手することができないという不具合を生じる。

本発明は、かかる実情に鑑みてなされたものであり、管理者が通信管理レポートを適切に得ることができるようにしたファクシミリ装置の制御方法を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、通信結果をあらわす通信管理情報を保存する通信管理テーブルを備え、上記通信管理テーブルに所定数の通信管理情報が保存されると、上記通信管理テーブルに保存された通信管理情報の一覧表示をあらわす通信管理レポートを作成し、その通信管理レポートの画情報を、予め登録された宛先へ送信するとともに、その通信管理レポートに含まれる上記通信管理情報は、上記通信管理テーブルより削除するファクシミリ装置の制御方法において、上記通信管理レポートの画情報を、上記予め登録された宛先へ送信できなかったときには、この画情報を蓄積し、次の通信管理レポートの画情報の送信時には、上記蓄積した画情報も送信するとともに、上記通信管理レポートの画情報を作成した作成日時、および、その日時の前後の所定数の前記通信管理情報を保存し、上記次の通信管理レポートには、上記保存した作成日時および所定数の上記通信管理情報の一覧表示を含めるようにしたものである。また、前記通信管理テーブルに保存された通信管理情報の数が予め設定された予告保存数に達すると、通信管理テーブルを出力する旨を予告通知する予告通知レポートを作成し、その予告通知レポートの画情報を、前記予め登録された宛先へ送信するとともに、その予告通知レポートの内容を表示出力するようにしたものである。
また、通信結果をあらわす通信管理情報を保存する通信管理テーブルを備え、上記通信管理テーブルに所定数の通信管理情報が保存されると、上記通信管理テーブルに保存された通信管理情報の一覧表示をあらわす通信管理レポートを作成し、その通信管理レポートの画情報を、予め登録された宛先へ送信するとともに、その通信管理レポートに含まれる上記通信管理情報は、上記通信管理テーブルより削除するファクシミリ装置の制御方法において、上記通信管理レポートの画情報を、上記予め登録された宛先へ送信できなかったときには、この画情報を蓄積し、次の通信管理レポートの画情報の送信時には、上記蓄積した画情報も送信するとともに、上記通信管理テーブルに保存された通信管理情報の数が予め設定された予告保存数に達すると、通信管理テーブルを出力する旨を予告通知する予告通知レポートを作成し、その予告通知レポートの画情報を、前記予め登録された宛先へ送信するとともに、その予告通知レポートの内容を表示出力するようにしたものである。

また、ファクシミリ伝送機能を備えたパーソナルコンピュータ装置との間で所定のファクシミリ伝送手順に従ってデータをやりとりする機能を備えるとともに、通信結果をあらわす通信管理情報を保存する通信管理テーブルを備え、上記通信管理テーブルに所定数の通信管理情報が保存されると、上記通信管理テーブルに保存された通信管理情報の一覧表示をあらわす通信管理レポートを作成し、その通信管理レポートの画情報を、予め登録された宛先へ送信するとともに、その通信管理レポートに含まれる上記通信管理情報は、上記通信管理テーブルより削除するファクシミリ装置の制御方法において、上記通信管理レポートの画情報を、上記予め登録された宛先へ送信できなかったときには、この画情報を蓄積し、次の通信管理レポートの画情報の送信時には、上記蓄積した画情報も送信するとともに、前記通信管理テーブルに保存された通信管理情報の数が予め設定された予告保存数に達すると、通信管理テーブルを出力する旨を予告通知する予告通知レポートを作成し、その予告通知レポートの画情報を、前記予め登録された宛先へ送信するとともに、その予告通知レポートの内容を表示出力するようにしたものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、添付図面を参照しながら、本発明の実施の形態を詳細に説明する。

図１は、本発明の一実施例にかかるグループ３ファクシミリ装置を示している。

同図において、システム制御部１は、このファクシミリ装置の各部の制御処理、および、ファクシミリ伝送制御手順処理を行うものであり、システムメモリ２は、システム制御部１が実行する制御処理プログラム、および、処理プログラムを実行するときに必要な各種データなどを記憶するとともに、システム制御部１のワークエリアを構成するものであり、パラメータメモリ３は、このグループ３ファクシミリ装置に固有な各種の情報を記憶するためのものであり、時計回路４は、現在時刻情報を出力するためのものである。

スキャナ５は、所定の解像度で原稿画像を読み取るためのものであり、プロッタ６は、所定の解像度で画像を記録出力するためのものであり、操作表示部７は、このファクシミリ装置を操作するためのもので、各種の操作キー、および、各種の表示器からなる。

符号化復号化部８は、画信号を符号化圧縮するとともに、符号化圧縮されている画情報を元の画信号に復号化するためのものであり、画像蓄積装置９は、符号化圧縮された状態の画情報を多数記憶するためのものである。

グループ３ファクシミリモデム１０は、グループ３ファクシミリのモデム機能を実現するためのものであり、伝送手順信号をやりとりするための低速モデム機能（Ｖ．２１モデム）、および、おもに画情報をやりとりするための高速モデム機能（Ｖ．１７モデム、Ｖ．３４モデム、Ｖ．２９モデム、Ｖ．２７ｔｅｒモデムなど）を備えている。

網制御装置１１は、このファクシミリ装置を公衆電話回線網に接続するためのものであり、自動発着信機能を備えている。

パーソナルコンピュータインターフェース回路１２は、例えば、シリアルデータインターフェース回路からなり、外部のパーソナルコンピュータ装置ＰＣに接続して、所定のファクシミリ伝送手順に従い、画情報データをやりとりするためのものである。

これらの、システム制御部１、システムメモリ２、パラメータメモリ３、時計回路４、スキャナ５、プロッタ６、操作表示部７、符号化復号化部８、画像蓄積装置９、グループ３ファクシミリモデム１０、網制御装置１１、および、パーソナルコンピュータインターフェース回路１２は、内部バス１３に接続されており、これらの各要素間でのデータのやりとりは、主としてこの内部バス１３を介して行われている。

また、網制御装置１１とグループ３ファクシミリモデム１０との間のデータのやりとりは、直接行なわれている。

また、パーソナルコンピュータ装置ＰＣは、パーソナルコンピュータインターフェース回路１２を介し、グループ３ファクシミリ装置との間で、所定のグループ３ファクシミリ伝送手順に対応したコマンド信号をやりとりして、グループ３ファクシミリ伝送手順を実現し、ファクシミリ画情報等の送受信を行う機能を備えている。

また、システム制御部１は、このようにパーソナルコンピュータインターフェース回路１２を介して、パーソナルコンピュータ装置ＰＣとの間でコマンド信号のやりとりを行い、グループ３ファクシミリ伝送手順を実現する処理機能も備えている。

さて、システム制御部１は、送受信動作を行うたびに、おのおのの送受信動作について、図２に示すような通信管理情報を作成し、システムメモリ２に作成する通信管理テーブル（図示略）に保存する。この通信管理テーブルには、所定数の通信管理情報を保存することができる。

この通信管理情報は、おのおのの通信管理情報を区別するためのＩＤ、送受信動作の通信日時、その相手先名称、通信モード（送受信の別、伝送モード等を含む）、送受信動作に要した通信時間、通信の際にやりとりした原稿の枚数、通信結果、および、ファイル番号からなる。

そして、通信管理テーブルに保存可能数の通信管理情報が保存されると、図３に示すような通信管理レポートを作成し、登録された宛先へ転送するか、あるいは、自端末のプロッタ６より記録出力する。

この通信管理レポートでは、前回に通信管理レポートを自動出力した際の作成日時、および、その作成日時の前後の所定数の通信管理情報の一覧表示を先頭部に付加することで、管理者が前回の通信管理レポートの出力状況を知ることができるようにしている。

また、このために、通信管理レポートを作成する際、その作成日時と、その作成日時の前後の所定数の通信管理情報を、前回通信管理レポート作成情報として、保存するようにしている。

また、通信管理レポートを自動出力すると、通信管理テーブルの内容を消去するようにして、それ以降発生する通信管理情報を通信管理テーブルに適切に保存できるようにしている。

また、通信管理レポートの宛先としては、任意のファクシミリ装置、または、接続されたパーソナルコンピュータ装置ＰＣを登録することができる。その際、登録宛先としてファクシミリ装置を指定する場合には、その電話番号を宛先情報として登録し、パーソナルコンピュータ装置ＰＣを指定する場合には、その旨をあらわす特定の宛先情報、例えば、「＃９９」などを宛先情報として登録することができる。

また、通信管理レポートの出力は、上述したように、通信管理レポートの画情報を予め登録された宛先に送信することに限らず、自端末のプロッタから記録出力するように設定することもできる。

また、このグループ３ファクシミリ装置では、通信管理レポートの出力を手動で指定できる手動モードも備えており、この手動モードが設定されている場合には、通信管理レポートの出力が手動で指定されない限り通信管理レポートを出力せず、また、通信管理テーブルの内容も消去しない。

以上の構成で、システム制御部１は、通信管理レポートの出力に関し、図４に示したような処理を実行する。なお、この処理は、１つの送受信動作の終了後、新たな通信管理情報を通信管理テーブルに保存した後に実行される。

まず、通信管理レポートに保存されている通信管理情報の数を調べ（処理１０１）、その値が所定の自動出力数（通常は、通信管理テーブルへ通信管理情報を保存できる上限値）になっているかどうかを調べる（判断１０２）。この判断１０２の結果がＮＯになるときには、即この動作を終了する。

判断１０２の結果がＹＥＳになるときには、そのときの通信管理テーブル、および、上述した前回通信管理レポート作成情報に基づいて、上述したような通信管理レポートを作成する（処理１０３）。また、このときに、そのときの日時を作成日時として、前回通信管理レポート作成情報の内容を更新するとともに、その作成日時の前の所定数の通信管理情報により、前回通信管理レポート作成情報の内容を更新する。なお、作成日時後の所定数の通信管理情報は、この後の適宜な時点で前回通信管理レポート作成情報に登録する。

次に、通信管理レポートの出力形態として、転送モードが設定されているかどうかを調べる（判断１０４）。判断１０４の結果がＹＥＳになるときには、転送宛先が登録されているかどうかを調べる（判断１０５）。

判断１０５の結果がＹＥＳになるときには、通信管理レポートの内容をあらわす画情報を作成して（処理１０６）、画像蓄積装置９に蓄積する。ここで、他の１つ以上の未送信の通信管理レポートが画像蓄積装置９に蓄積されているかどうかを調べ（判断１０７）、判断１０７の結果がＹＥＳになるときには、そのときに蓄積されている１つ以上の未送信の通信管理レポートの画情報と、今回作成した通信管理レポートの画情報をまとめて１つの画情報ファイルを構成する（処理１０８）。なお、判断１０７の結果がＮＯになるときには、処理１０６で作成した画情報ファイルのみを送信ファイルとする。

このようにして、送信ファイルが作成されると、登録された宛先へ通信管理レポートの画情報を送信する所定の通信管理レポート送信処理を実行し（処理１０９）、通信管理レポートの画情報を登録された宛先へと送信する。

次いで、そのときの送信結果が「ＯＫ」であったかどうかを調べ（判断１１０）、判断１１０の結果がＹＥＳになるときには、この動作を終了する。また、判断１１０の結果がＮＯになるときには、規定回数まで再発呼動作を実行したかどうかを調べ（判断１１１）、判断１１１の結果がＹＥＳになるときには、この動作を終了する。また、判断１１１の結果がＮＯになるときには、再発呼のための所定の再発呼設定（発呼時刻等）を行い、処理１０９へ戻り、通信結果レポート送信処理を再度実行する。

一方、通信管理レポートの出力形態として、転送モードが設定されていない場合で、判断１０４の結果がＮＯになるとき、または、宛先が登録されていない場合で、判断１０５の結果がＮＯになるときには、通信管理レポートの内容を自端末のプロッタ６より記録出力し（処理１１５）、この動作を終了する。

このようにして、本実施例では、通信管理レポートを送信できなかったときには、次の通信管理レポートとまとめて１つの画情報ファイルを作成し、登録された宛先へ送信するようにしているので、通信管理レポートの画情報送信時に、通信管理レポートの送信先として登録されている宛先のファクシミリ装置またはパーソナルコンピュータ装置が画情報を受信できない状態であるときには、管理者へ通信管理レポートを送信することができず、ファクシミリ装置の通信管理業務に支障をきたすという不具合を回避することができる。

また、通信管理レポートに、前回の通信管理レポートの出力前後の通信履歴を付加しているので、前回の通信管理レポートが他のユーザに持ち去られたような場合でも、管理者は、その表示内容を参照して、持ち去った他のユーザを特定することができ、前回の通信管理レポートを得ることができるようになる。

ところで、通信管理レポートを出力する前の段階で、通信管理レポートの出力についての予告を行うようにすると、通信管理レポートを受け取る管理者は、通信管理レポートの出力時点を予測することができ、通信管理レポートの出力に対して準備することができるので、例えば、通信管理レポートの出力を手動モードに設定した場合に、通信管理レポートの出力を忘れてしまうような事態を回避することができる。

この予告レポートの一例を図５に示す。また、これと同時に、図６に示すような予告表示を操作表示部７に表示すると、ユーザに通信管理レポートの出力に対して、注意を喚起することができる。

この予告レポートの出力に関する処理の一例を図７に示す。なお、この処理は、１つの送受信動作の終了後、新たな通信管理情報を通信管理テーブルに保存した後に実行するとよい。

【発明の効果】
以上説明したように、本発明によれば、通信管理レポートを送信できなかったときには、次の通信管理レポートとまとめて１つの画情報ファイルを作成し、登録された宛先へ送信するようにしているので、通信管理レポートの画情報送信時に、通信管理レポートの送信先として登録されている宛先のファクシミリ装置またはパーソナルコンピュータ装置が画情報を受信できない状態であるときには、管理者へ通信管理レポートを送信することができず、ファクシミリ装置の通信管理業務に支障をきたす、という不具合を回避することができるという効果を得る。
