本発明は、前輪の両側に配置される一対の伸縮可能なフォーク脚と、該フォーク脚の上部のアッパケースを上下に間隔をあけた2箇所で相互に連結するトップブリッジおよびボトムブリッジとを有するフロントフォークが、車体フレームの前端のヘッドパイプで操向可能に支承され、操向ハンドルがフロントフォークの上端部に連結される自動二輪車に関し、特に、操向ハンドルよりも前方に配置される前部配置部品たとえば荷物収納籠、ウインドスクリーンおよびミニカウル等を取付けるための取付け構造の改良に関する。

従来、ウインドスクリーン等の前部配置部品は、操向ハンドルに取付けられるのが一般的である。

【課題を解決するための手段】
ところが操向ハンドルには、ブレーキ操作レバーおよびクラッチ操作レバーや、ブレーキ操作レバーの操作に応じてブレーキ液圧を出力するマスタシリンダや、計器類を配置するスペースを確保しなければならず、ウインドスクリーン等の前部配置部品を取付ける位置が限定されてしまい、配置上の自由度が小さくなっている。

本発明は、かかる事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、前部配置備品を配置する上での自由度を増大しつつ容易に取付け可能とした自動二輪車における前部配置部品取付け構造を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、請求項1記載の発明は、前輪を下端部で軸支する円筒状のロアケースならびに該ロアケースに嵌合される円筒状のアッパケースをそれぞれ有して伸縮可能に構成されるとともに前輪の両側に配置される一対のフォーク脚と、一対のアッパケースの上部間を相互に連結するトップブリッジと、該トップブリッジよりも下方で両アッパケース間を相互に連結するボトムブリッジとを備えるフロントフォークが、車体フレームの前端のヘッドパイプで操向可能に支承され、操向ハンドルがフロントフォークの上端部に連結される自動二輪車において、操向ハンドルよりも前方に配置される前部配置部品を支持する部品取付け具が、フロントフォークのアッパケースに着脱可能に取付けられ、その部品取付け具が、前部配置部品を取付けるための取付けボスを有していてアッパケース外周の一部に当接される形状に形成されるとともにアッパケースの周方向に沿う一端には被係合部が設けられる第1抱持部材と、アッパケースの軸線と平行な軸線まわりに回動することを可能として第1抱持部材の他端部に基端部が連結される操作レバーと、該操作レバーの回動軸線と平行な軸線まわりの回動を可能として操作レバーの中間部に一端部が連結される中間レバーと、操作レバーの回動軸線と平行な軸線まわりの回動を可能として中間レバーの他端部に一端部が連結されるとともに第1抱持部材の被係合部に係脱可能に係合する係合部が他端に設けられる第2抱持部材とを備え、中間レバーは、アッパケースの軸線と平行に延びて第2抱持部材の一端部に回動可能に連結される縦杆部と、該縦杆部の両端に一端を直角に連ならせる一対の横杆部と、両横杆部の他端にそれぞれ設けられて操作レバーの中間部に回動可能に連結される連結部とを一体に有し、第2抱持部材の一端には、縦杆部を回動可能に連結すべく該縦杆部を囲繞する連結筒部が設けられ、第1抱持部材の一端との係合を解除するとともに縦杆部の軸線まわりに所定位置まで回動させた第2抱持部材を縦杆部に沿ってスライドさせるのに応じて両横杆部の一方を嵌合させる切欠きが、連結筒部の軸方向一端に設けられることを特徴とする。

このような構成によれば、操向ハンドルよりも前方に配置される前部配置部品が、フロントフォークが備えるアッパケースに着脱可能に取付けられるので、操向ハンドルでは限られていた配置上の自由度を増大しつつ、前部配置部品を容易に取付けることができる。しかも本発明の上記部品取付け具によれば、操作レバーの回動操作によってアッパケースへの取付け、取り外しを容易に行なうことができる。また特に第2抱持部材の一端には、中間レバーの縦杆部を回動可能に連結すべく該縦杆部を囲繞する連結筒部が設けられており、第1抱持部材の一端との係合を解除するとともに縦杆部の軸線まわりに所定位置まで回動させた第2抱持部材を縦杆部に沿ってスライドさせるのに応じて両横杆部の一方が、連結筒部の軸方向一端に設けられる切欠きに嵌合するので、アッパケースから取り外した状態では中間レバーおよび第2抱持部材の相対姿勢を一定に保持することができ、部品取付け具のアッパケースへの取付け時に第2抱持部材のぶらつきにより取付け作業に支承を来たすことがなく、円滑な取付け作業を行なうことができる。

また請求項2記載の発明は、上記請求項1記載の発明の構成に加えて、前部配置部品には、上取付け部と、上取付け部よりも下方に配置される下取付け部とが設けられ、アッパケースを抱持する状態と、その抱持状態を解除する状態とを切換え可能に構成されて上取付け部および下取付け部をそれぞれ個別に支持する上下一対の部品取付け具が、一方の部品取付け具をトップブリッジに下方から当接させるとともに他方の部品取付け具をボトムブリッジに上方から当接させて、アッパケースに取付けられることを特徴とし、かかる構成によれば、前部配置部品を介して連結された状態にある上下一対の部品取付け具をアッパケースをその周囲から抱くようにして該アッパケースに取付けたときに、各部品取付け具がアッパケースに沿って上下に移動することは阻止されるので、前部配置部品を位置決めしつつアッパケースに容易に取付けることができる。
