【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、分離型スロットマシン、さらに詳しくは、遊技の部分を担当するリールユニット及び制御装置を交換ユニットとして、他の部分から分離可能に形成したスロットマシンに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来のスロットマシンは、正面側に開口する筺形の本体キャビネットと、本体キャビネットの開口部を開閉自在に塞ぐ前扉とから成り、本体キャビネットの内部に、リールユニット、ホッパーユニット、遊技を司る基板等が固定設置され、全体が構成されていた。

このような、従来のスロットマシンにおいては、遊技内容を変更する際には本体キャビネットまるごと交換しなければならなかった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、上記した従来のスロットマシンにおいては、遊技内容を変更するための台交換の際、遊技を担当しないホッパーユニット等も同時に交換されることとなり、交換に要する費用がかかるだけでなく、資源の無駄となっていたという問題点があった。

一方、類似の遊技機としてパチンコ遊技機があるが、パチンコ機は、正面側に開口する筺形の本体キャビネットと、本体キャビネットの開口部を開閉自在に塞ぐ前扉とから成り、この前扉に盤面あるいは玉打ち出し装置等が固定され、筺体に玉の循環装置が設けられている。そして、台交換の際には、本体キャビネットを残したままで前扉のみを交換することも可能であったし、さらには、盤面のみを交換することもできるように形成されていた。

このような、パチンコ遊技機の交換の便に着目し、スロットマシンにおいても、遊技を担当する部分のみを交換可能とする発明はなされてきた。しかし、これまでの発明においては、現実に、交換される部分の固定をどのようにするか、真に交換が必要な部分がどこであるのかといった細かい検討がなされず、もっぱら概念的な発明の提示となっているにすぎなかった。

かくして、スロットマシンを、遊技性に関わる部分と、遊技性に直接関わらない部分とに分け、このうち遊技性に関わる部分、すなわちリールユニット及び主基板等を交換することにより、全体を交換することなく、新しいスロットマシンで遊技しているかのような印象を与えることがかできる分離型スロットマシンを提供することが求められている。

各請求項にそれぞれ記載された各発明は、上記した従来の技術の有する問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的とするところは、分離型スロットマシンのうち、交換するための交換ユニットを具体的に特定し、真に交換が必要な交換ユニットを提供するとともに、交換しやすく、交換の手間がかからない分離型スロットマシンを提供しようとするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
各請求項にそれぞれ記載された各発明は、上記した各目的を達成するためになされたものであり、各発明の特徴点を図面に示した発明の実施の形態を用いて、以下に説明する。
なお、符号は、発明の実施の形態において用いた符号を示し、本発明の技術的範囲を限定するものではない。

（請求項１）
（特徴点）
請求項１記載の発明は、次の点を特徴とする。
すなわち、請求項１記載の発明は、正面側に開口する筺形の本体キャビネット１と、本体キャビネット１の開口部11を開閉自在に塞ぐ前扉３と、複数の図柄が表示された回転リール23及びこの回転リール23を回転させるための駆動モータを有するリールユニット22と、遊技メダルを払い出すための払い出し装置と、前記回転リール23及び払い出し装置の作動を制御するための制御装置と、電源装置とを少なくとも有するスロットマシンであって、支持体に少なくとも前記リールユニット22及び制御装置を設置した交換ユニット２を、本体キャビネット１内部に着脱自在に形成してある。
そして、前記前扉３は、上扉 30 と下扉 40 とから成り、前記上扉 40 には係合部６の一方が設けられるとともに、前記交換ユニット２の支持体 (21) には、前記上扉 40 の係合部６と回転自在に係合する他方の係合部６が設けてあり、前記交換ユニット２を本体キャビネット１に収納した状態で、前記本体キャビネット１の開口上部 13 を前記上扉 30 で開閉可能に形成したことを特徴とする。

本発明は、分離型スロットマシンとして、リールユニット22及び制御装置を最低限交換可能に形成したものである。
前記払い出し装置としては、例えばホッパーユニット等が挙げられるが、遊技メダルを払い出すことのできる装置であればよい。
前記交換ユニット２は、支持体及びリールユニット22及び制御装置とから構成されているが、他の構成部品が含まれていてもよい。
本発明において、交換ユニット２は本体キャビネット１の開口上部 13 内に取り付けられるものである。取り付けは、例えば中板 12 を設けてその上に乗せてもよいし、本体キャビネット１の側板 16 あるいは天板にガイド部材を設けて支持するものとしてもよい。

前記制御装置としては、例えば配線基板に制御用電子部品一式が搭載されてなる電子基板（単に基板ということもある）等が挙げられるが、回転リール23と払い出し装置の作動を制御することができる装置であればよい。スロットマシンでは、回転リールと払い出し装置の作動を制御することができる基板を、通常、主基板と称している。これは、回転リールと払い出し装置の作動以外、例えば画像表示装置や演出用リールや演出用のその他の表示装置などの演出用装置などを制御することができる基板として副基板を備えるようにした場合に、この副基板と区別するためである。

前記支持体としては、例えば枠体21が挙げられるが、リールユニット22と制御装置を支持することができるものであればよい。
支持体は、本体キャビネット内部に固定するためのものであり、さらに、リールユニット22及び制御装置を一体的に取り扱い可能とするものである。この支持体は、例えばクリップなどの固定装置10により本体キャビネット内部に固定されると共に、固定装置10を解除することにより、本体キャビネット１から取り出し可能となっている。

前記前扉３は、本体キャビネット１の開口部11を開塞自在に取り付けられており、扉を閉めるとスロットマシンの正面構造となるように形成されているものである。すなわち、回転リール23を見ることができる図柄表示窓32や、スロットマシンを操作するための操作部41等を設けることができるものである。
また、前扉３は上下二分割されており、かつ、上扉 30 を交換ユニット２に取り付けるように形成されている。そして、交換ユニット２が本体キャビネット１内部に収納固定された状態で上扉 30 を閉めると、本体キャビネット１の開口上部 13 が閉塞されるものである。

ここで、係合部６は、例えばヒンジなどであって、上扉 30 には上扉係合部 61 が、支持体には支持体係合部（例えば枠体係合部 60 ）が、それぞれ設けられており、これらを係合させることにより、支持体に上扉 30 を開閉可能に支持させることができるものである。
なお、上扉 30 と交換ユニット２は、前記係合部６を介して一体に形成されていてもよいし、分離可能に形成されていてもよい。
また、下扉 40 は本体キャビネット１に係合部６を介して固着されていてもよいし、分離可能に形成されていてもよい。

前記制御装置を交換すると、当選の抽選や回転リール23の停止制御などの遊技内容を変更することができる。そして、遊技内容を変更すると、回転リール23の図柄や図柄配置を変更する必要もあることから、リールユニット22も制御装置とセットで交換できるようにしたものである。リールユニット22は、表面に複数の図柄が表示される回転リール23を複数（例えば３個）有し、各回転リール23の回転軸にはこれらを回転させるための駆動モータがそれぞれ設けられている。

前記電源装置は、スロットマシンに電源を入れるためのものであり、電源基板や操作スイッチ等からなり、電源ユニット４として形成することができる。
（作用）
本発明によれば、遊技内容を変えたいときには、上扉 30を開けて交換ユニット２を取り外し、新しい交換ユニット２を取り付ければ、本体キャビネット１をはじめ、電源装置や払い出し装置など、遊技内容に直接関係ない部品はそのまま再利用することがてきる。さらに、上扉 30 をのみを交換して下扉 40 は交換せずにそのまま利用することがてきる。

請求項２記載の発明は、次の点を特徴とする。
すなわち、請求項２記載の発明は、正面側に開口する筺形の本体キャビネット１と、本体キャビネット１の開口部11を開閉自在に塞ぐ前扉３と、複数の図柄が表示された回転リール23及びこの回転リール23を回転させるための駆動モータを有するリールユニット22と、遊技メダルを払い出すためのホッパーユニット５と、前記回転リール23及びホッパーユニット５の作動を制御するための主基板と、電源装置とを少なくとも有するスロットマシンであって、支持体としての枠体21に少なくとも前記リールユニット22及び主基板を設置した交換ユニット２を、本体キャビネット内部に着脱自在に形成してある。
そして、前記前扉３は、上扉 30 と下扉 40 とから成り、前記上扉 40 には係合部６の一方が設けられるとともに、前記交換ユニット２の支持体 21 には、前記上扉 40 の係合部６と回転自在に係合する他方の係合部６が設けてあり、前記交換ユニット２を本体キャビネット１に収納した状態で、前記本体キャビネット１の開口上部 13 を前記上扉 30 で開閉可能に形成したことを特徴とする。

本発明は、分離型スロットマシンとして、リールユニット22及び主基板を最低限交換可能に形成したものである。
前記交換ユニット２は、枠体21及びリールユニット22及び主基板とから構成されているが、他の構成部品、例えば演出を制御するための副基板などが含まれていてもよい。
本発明において、交換ユニット２は本体キャビネット１の開口上部 13 内に取り付けられるものである。取り付けは、例えば中板 12 を設けてその上に乗せてもよいし、本体キャビネット１の側板 16 あるいは天板にガイド部材を設けて支持するものとしてもよい。

枠体21は、本体キャビネット内部に固定するためのものであり、さらに、リールユニット22及び主基板を一体的に取り扱い可能とするものである。この枠体21は、例えばクリップなどの固定装置10により本体キャビネット内部に固定されると共に、固定装置10を解除することにより、本体キャビネット１から取り出し可能となっている。

前記前扉３は、本体キャビネット１の開口部11を開塞自在に取り付けられており、扉を閉めるとスロットマシンの正面構造となるように形成されているものである。すなわち、回転リール23を見ることができる図柄表示窓32や、スロットマシンを操作するための操作部41等を設けることができるものである。
また、前扉３は上下二分割されており、かつ、上扉 30 を交換ユニット２に取り付けるように形成されている。そして、交換ユニット２が本体キャビネット１内部に収納固定された状態で上扉 30 を閉めると、本体キャビネット１の開口上部 13 が閉塞されるものである。

ここで、係合部６は、例えばヒンジなどであって、上扉 30 には上扉係合部 61 が、支持体には枠体係合部 60 が、それぞれ設けられており、これらを係合させることにより、支持体に上扉 30 を開閉可能に支持させることができるものである。
なお、上扉 30 と交換ユニット２は、前記係合部６を介して一体に形成されていてもよいし、分離可能に形成されていてもよい。
また、下扉 40 は本体キャビネット１に係合部６を介して固着されていてもよいし、分離可能に形成されていてもよい。

前記主基板は、ＲＯＭ、ＲＡＭ、ＣＰＵ等を有し、主として、当選の抽選や回転リール23の停止制御など遊技を制御するものである。そして、これを交換すると遊技内容を変更することができる。
また、遊技内容を変更すると、回転リール23の図柄や図柄配置を変更する必要もあることから、リールユニット22も主基板とセットで交換できるようにしたものである。リールユニット22は、表面に複数の図柄が表示される回転リール23を複数（例えば３個）有し、各回転リール23の回転軸にはこれらを回転させるための駆動モータがそれぞれ設けられている。

前記電源装置は、スロットマシンに電源を入れるためのものであり、電源基板や操作スイッチ等からなり、電源ユニット４として形成することができる。
前記ホッパーユニット５は、入賞によりメダルを払い出すとともにメダルを貯留しておくためのものである。
（作用）
本発明によれば、遊技内容を変えたいときには、上扉 30を開けて交換ユニット２を取り外し、新しい交換ユニット２を取り付ければ、本体キャビネット１をはじめ、電源装置やホッパーユニット５など、遊技内容に直接関係ない部品はそのまま再利用することがてきる。さらに、上扉 30 をのみを交換して下扉 40 は交換せずにそのまま利用することがてきる。

請求項３記載の発明は、上記した請求項１又は２記載の発明の特徴点に加え、次の点を特徴とする。
すなわち、請求項３記載の発明は、前記上扉30の係合部６は、あらかじめ交換ユニット２の係合部６に係合固定されていることを特徴とする。
本発明は、上扉30と交換ユニット２は、前記係合部６を介して一体に形成したものである。

本発明によれば、上扉30と交換ユニット２は一緒に梱包輸送され、設置時も一体ものとして取り扱うことができる。すなわち、交換ユニット２を取り替えるときには必然的に上扉30も取り替えられることとなる。

請求項４記載の発明は、上記した請求項１乃至３のいずれか１項に記載の発明の特徴点に加え、次の点を特徴とする。

すなわち、請求項４記載の発明は、前記上扉30は、前記交換ユニット２の支持体（例えば枠体21）にロックされるロック機構７を有し、交換ユニット２が本体キャビネット１に収納固定された状態で、上扉30をロックすることにより、本体キャビネット１の開口上部13が施錠されるように形成したことを特徴とする。

本発明は、本体キャビネット１の開口上部13の施錠を、上扉30と交換ユニット２とをロックすることにより行うものである。
ここで、ロック機構７としては、解錠手段を用いなければ上扉30が支持体の係合部６を支点として開くことがないように固定するものであり、いかなる構成のものであってもよい。

本発明によれば、交換ユニット２を本体キャビネット１内部に収納固定して、上扉30を閉めロックすると、上扉30は交換ユニット２を介して間接的に本体キャビネット１に固定されることとなり、本体キャビネット１の開口上部13を施錠するものとなる。

本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づき説明する。

本実施の形態における分離型スロットマシンは、図１に示すように、大きく分けて、正面側に開口部11を有する本体キャビネット１、本体キャビネット１内部に着脱自在に設けられる交換ユニット２、本体キャビネット１の開口上部13を開閉可能に塞ぐ上扉30、本体キャビネット１の開口下部14を開閉可能に塞ぐ下扉40とから構成されている。

（本体キャビネット１）
本体キャビネット１は、底板15及び側板16及び天板及び裏板からなる正面側に開口する筺体であり、高さ方向略中央部には、二つの側板16の間に水平方向に中板12が設けられている。そして、この中板12の下面には電源ユニット４が設けられ、底板15にはホッパーユニット５が固定されている。

ここで、電源ユニット４は、中板12の下面に、取り付け板等を介して取り付けられており、特に図示しないが電源装置が内装されていると共に、遊技店側が種々の設定を行うためのスイッチ等、店操作部100を有している。
上記電源ユニット４及びホッパーユニット５は、交換ユニット２の交換に際し、必ずしも交換する必要のないものであり、交換時には設置されたままにしておけるようになっているものである。

なお、本実施の形態においては、メダルを貯留すると共にメダルを払い出す払い出し装置としてホッパーユニット５を有するスロットマシンとしたが、遊技メダルを払い出すことのできる装置であれば、ホッパーユニット５以外の装置が代わりに設けられていてもよい。
また、側板16の正面左側の下部には、前記下扉40を係合させ、回転自在に支持するための本体係合部62が、上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられている。

さらに、本体係合部62の対向側の側板16には、下扉40を閉めた際、下扉40をロックするための突出片90（ロック機構７）が、上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられている。
（交換ユニット２）
交換ユニット２は、種々の部品を設置あるいは固定するための支持体としての枠体21と、この枠体21に固定されたリールユニット22及び基板ユニット24とから形成されている。

なお、支持体としては枠体21に限られず、リールユニット22及び基板ユニット24等の機器を設置することが可能な強度を有する構造体であればよい。
ここで、リールユニット22は、周囲に複数の図柄を表示した複数の回転リール23と、特に図示しないが、回転リール23を回転させるための駆動モータを有している。また、前記基板ユニット24には、遊技及びスロットマシンの作動を制御するための主基板と、各種演出を行うための副基板が含まれている。

前記主基板及び副基板は、スロットマシンの制御装置として機能する。
前記枠体21の正面左側の縦枠には、前記上扉30を回転自在に係合するための枠体係合部60が、上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられている。
さらに、枠体係合部60の対向側の縦枠には、上扉30を閉めた際、上扉30をロックするための突出片90（ロック機構７）が、上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられている。

交換ユニット２は、本体キャビネット１の中板12の上に乗せ、開口上部13内部に収納されるものである。そして、固定装置10により本体キャビネット１に固着される。
（上扉30）
上扉30は、交換ユニット２の枠体21に回転自在かつロック可能に形成されている板状の扉であり、略中央部に前記回転リール23の図柄を正面側から見ることができる図柄表示窓31を有し、周囲に飾り部33を設けてある。そして、種々の表示を行うための表示装置32が設けられているものである。

ここで、前記飾り部33は、ランプ等により形成しても良く、入賞の報知その他の演出時にランプが点滅するようにしてもよい。また、前記表示装置32は、７セグメントＬＥＤ等により数字を表示するものや、特に図示しないが、画像を表示するための液晶画面あるいはＣＲＴなどとしてもよい。
さらに、図２に示すように、上扉30の裏面には、前記枠体係合60部に係合可能な上扉係合部61が上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられており、上扉係合部61の対向側には、ロック機構７が設けられている。

（下扉40）
下扉40は、本体キャビネット１の開口下部14を塞ぐための、上扉30よりも幅厚の扉であり、本体キャビネット１の側板16に回転自在かつロック可能に形成されているものである。
下扉40の上部は、スロットマシンを作動させるための操作部41となっており、下扉40の上面は、閉扉時においては、上扉30よりも前側に突出するようになっている。また、下部には払い出されたメダルを貯めておくためのメダル受け43が形成されており、下扉40の略中央部には、遊技内容その他の表示をするための前パネル50が嵌め込まれている。

前記操作部41としては、下扉40の上面右端にはメダル投入口42及び上面左側に設けられたベットスイッチ、正面側にはスタートスイッチ及びストップスイッチ及び鍵穴44が設けられている。なお、ベットスイッチとは、貯留メダルをメダル投入に代えるためのものであり、スタートスイッチ及びストップスイッチは、回転リール23の回転を開始及び停止させるためのものである。また、鍵穴44は、前扉３を解錠するためのものであり、この穴に所定の鍵を差し込んで回すと、下扉40のロックが解除されるものである。

さらに、図２に示すように、下扉40の裏面側には、前記メダル投入口42から投入されたメダルを誘導しながらメダルの正偽を判断するためのメダルセレクター48が設けられている。そして、下扉40の裏面下部の左右には、種々の音声を出力するためのスピーカ49が設けられている。
また、下扉40の裏面には、前記本体係合部62と係合可能な下扉係合部63が上下方向に間隔をおいて二つ設けられており、下扉係合部63の対向側には、ロック機構７が設けられている。

（上扉30と交換ユニット２の係合及び前パネル50の交換）
ここで、特に本発明の要点となる部分について、図面に基づき詳細に説明する。
まず、上扉30と交換ユニット２の係合及びロックの詳細について説明する。
図３は、交換ユニット２に上扉30を回転自在に係合する係合部６の詳細を示すものである。

図３に示すように、交換ユニット２の枠体係合部60は、枠体21の縦枠から正面側に突出する張り出し部65と、この張り出し部65の先端に設けられたピン67とからなり、縦枠に上下方向に一定の間隔を置いて並設されている。
一方、上扉30の裏面には、水平方向に突出する板状の張り出し部66にピン穴68を有する上扉係合部61が、前記枠体係合部60に対応するように設けられている。この上扉係合部61は、ピン穴68を前記ピン67に向かって下方向から挿入すると、板状の張り出し部66がピン67の段差部分に引っかかり、枠体係合部60と回転自在に係合されるものである。

なお、上扉係合部61は、図４に示すような形状としても良い。すなわち、張り出し部66の先端を筒状に形成し、これをピン穴68とするものである。
ところで、上扉30と交換ユニット２は、枠体係合部60と上扉係合部61を固着しないで分離可能としてもよいが、係合部６を予め固定しておくようにしても良い。すなわち、搬送時、取り付け時において、上扉30と交換ユニット２を一体にして扱えるようにするものである。というのは、遊技の変更に伴い、例えば回転リール23の数を変更したり、表示装置32の種類を変更する場合もあり、このようなときには上扉30の形状も変える必要があるので、上扉30と交換ユニット２は同時に交換される頻度が高いのである。このように形成すれば、台交換の際、上扉30と交換ユニット２を同時に取り外し又は取り付けできるので、作業の手間を省くことができる。

次に、ロック機構７の詳細を、図２及び図５に基づき説明する。
ロック機構７は、上扉30及び下扉40の裏面側部に設けられた固定部70及び可動部80、本体キャビネット１及び交換ユニット２に設けられた突出片90とから構成されている。ここで、上扉30及び下扉40のロック機構７の構造は、基本的には同様であり、下扉40のロック機構７は、鍵穴44に所定の鍵を差し込んで解錠するようになっているが、上扉30のロック機構７は外側から解錠することができず、下扉40が開いているときにロック解除可能となっている点が異なるものである。ここでは、上扉30のロック機構７について詳述する。

図５は、施錠時のロック機構７を示すものである。ロック機構７は、上扉30の裏板に固定された固定部70と、固定部70に上下方向に摺動可能に取り付けられた可動部80を有する。固定部70は可動部80を支持するためのものであり、可動部80は、枠体21に設けられた突出片90に係合し上扉30と交換ユニット２とをロックし又はロック解除するためのものである。

ここで、突出片90は本体キャビネット１に設けることもできるが、上扉30は交換ユニット２に取り付けられていることから、交換ユニット２の交換に伴い上扉30のロック機構７と本体キャビネット１の突出片90とに微妙なズレが生じることもあり得る。これはロック部のがたつきの原因となり、このようにがたつきのある扉は工具などを使用して外部からこじ開けられないとも限らない。従って、確実にロックされるために、交換ユニット２の枠体21に設けるのが望ましいのである。

固定部70には、ピン73及びストッパー71が設けられており、これらで可動部80を支持している。さらに、固定部70と可動部80との間に取り付けられたバネ72が、可動部80を常に上方向に引き上げるようにはたらいており、一方可動部80には段部83が設けられ、この段部83がストッパー71に当接して可動部80を係止している。

そして、可動部80には、斜辺81aと溝部81bを有する係止片81が二つ設けられており、前記溝部81bに突出片90が引っかかり、かつ前記バネ72が可動部80を上方向に引っ張っているので、前扉30と交換ユニット２とがロックされた状態となっているものである。
