Description
【0001】
【0026】
AESA=AESA+CFIONPO …(7)
TP=TP+CFIONIR+CAIONPK …(8)

[Industrial applications]
The present invention relates to a cylinder-by-cylinder combustion control method for improving a combustion variation between cylinders that occurs mainly in a multi-cylinder engine for an automobile.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Generally, in a fuel injection type multi-cylinder engine, each cylinder is slightly burned due to the tolerance of the fuel injection valve, the difference in the amount of intake air from the intake manifold, the difference in the residual air-fuel mixture, and the difference in ignition timing. The condition may be different. Usually, it is often difficult to determine the cause of the variation in combustion. Then, due to the variation in combustion, the stability of the engine may be reduced, causing vibration or deteriorating the convergence of the engine rotation.
[0003]
In order to eliminate such a variation in combustion between cylinders, for example, as in a lean burn control device for an internal combustion engine described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. Hei 5-18297, an ion current of a level exceeding the normal combustion range of the engine is used. At times and when the level is below the range, the target air-fuel ratio of the cylinder in which the ion current is detected is shifted to the rich side, and the air-fuel ratio that varies for each cylinder is controlled so as to approach the limit for stable operation. Have been.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the variation in combustion is not always caused by the fact that the air-fuel ratio varies from one cylinder to another, and the air-fuel ratio is detected and the target air-fuel ratio of the cylinder is shifted as described in the above publication. In some cases, simply controlling the air-fuel ratio does not solve the problem. In other words, the cause of the variation may be various things as described above, and it may be difficult to detect whether they are occurring alone or in combination, and it may be difficult to detect only the air-fuel ratio. In some cases, the variation cannot be suppressed even by the control.
An object of the present invention is to solve such a problem.

[0018]
The ion current is obtained by starting A / D conversion from top dead center TDC in an A / D conversion cycle (unit based on crank angle) set according to the engine speed NE and converting an analog current value into digital data. The obtained converted values are stored in the RAM of the storage device 8 with the data numbers DTn in ascending order in order from the top dead center TDC. The stored converted value is compared with the maximum value at that time each time, and the converted value having the maximum value is added to the maximum value flag and stored separately. The A / D conversion is performed for a predetermined time from the top dead center TDC, for example, 30 ° CA in terms of a crank angle.
[0019]
A data number DTp with a flag is detected from the detected converted values, and the converted value is used as a sample value AIONPK of the current peak value. Further, the sample value FIONPO at the peak position of the sample value AIONPK is measured by multiplying the data number DTp of the sample value AIONPK of the peak value by the conversion period. Further, all the converted values obtained by the A / D conversion are summed to calculate a sample value FIONIR of the integrated value.
[0020]
As described above, the peak value, the integral value, and the sample values AIONPK, FIONIR, and FIONPK of each of the cylinders are measured for each ignition, and the ignition timing and the basic injection amount TP are controlled by the processing described below. I do.
[0021]
In FIG. 2, in step S1, the cylinder is determined. If it is k cylinders, the process proceeds to step S2; otherwise, the process proceeds to step S6. In step S2, based on the respective sample values AIONPK, FIONIR, and FIONPK, the current ion peak value for each cylinder (hereinafter, referred to as peak value) AIONPKAVk, the ion-integrated value for each cylinder (hereinafter, referred to as an integral value) FIONIRAVk, and the cylinder Another ion peak position (hereinafter, referred to as a peak position) FIONPOAVk is calculated, and the result is stored in the storage device 8. The arithmetic expressions of the peak value AIONPKAVk, the integral value FIONIRAVk, and the peak position FIONPOAVk are as follows. In the following equation, n is the number of cylinders, and is 4 in this embodiment.
[0022]
(Equation 1)
(Equation 2)
(Equation 3)
In step S3, the peak average value AIONPKAV of all cylinders as the reference maximum value, the integral average value FIONIRAV as the reference integral value, and the peak average position FIONPOAV as the reference position are calculated by the following equations. Note that the initial values of the peak average value AIONPKAV, the integral average value FIONIRAV, and the peak average position FIONPOAV are the conformity values obtained in the test.
[0023]
(Equation 4)
(Equation 5)
(Equation 6)
In step S4, the peak difference DAIONPK, the integral difference DFIONIR, and the peak position difference DFIONPO, which are the differences between the peak average value AIONPKAV and the peak value AIONPKAVk, the integrated average value FIONIRAV, the integrated value FIONIRAVk, the peak average position FIONPOAV, and the peak position FIONPOAVk, are calculated. A peak value correction coefficient CAIONPK is determined from the calculated and obtained peak difference DAIONPK, an integration correction coefficient CFIONIR is calculated from the integrated difference DFIONIR, and a peak position correction coefficient CFIONPO is determined from the peak position difference DFIONPO.
[0024]
The peak value correction coefficient CAIONPK, the integral correction coefficient CFIONIR, and the peak position correction coefficient CFIONPO are each set in a one-dimensional map, and are obtained by interpolation calculation. The peak value correction coefficient CAIONPK is set to 0 when the peak value difference DAIONPK is 0, to a value that increases the basic injection time TP when it is positive, and to a value that decreases when it is negative. The integral correction coefficient CFIONIR is set to 0 when the integral difference DFIONIR is 0, to a value that decreases the basic injection time TP when the integral difference DFIONIR is a positive value, and to a value that increases when the integral difference DFIONIR is a negative value. The correction coefficient CFIONPO is set to 0 when the peak position difference DFIONPK is 0, to a value that advances the final ignition timing AESA when it is a positive value, and to a value that retards the ignition timing AESA when it is a negative value. ing.
[0025]
In step S5, the final ignition timing AESA is corrected by the obtained peak position correction coefficient CFIONPO, and the basic injection time TP is corrected by the obtained integration correction coefficient CFIONIR and peak value correction coefficient CAIONPK.
[0026]
AESA = AESA + CFIONPO (7)
TP = TP + CFIONIR + CAIONPK (8)
In step S6, it is determined whether or not the cylinder is the next cylinder (k + 1) after the k cylinder. If the cylinder is the next cylinder, a procedure corresponding to steps S2, S3, S4, and S5 described above is executed. If not, a step corresponding to step S6 is executed. Hereinafter, this operation is repeated until each cylinder is determined.
[0027]
In such a configuration, when the k cylinder is determined based on the cylinder determination signal G1 output from the
[0028]
Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above. That is, in the above embodiment, the correction of the final ignition timing EASA and the basic injection time TP has been described. However, the correction of the basic injection time TP, that is, the air-fuel ratio alone may be performed. In this case, in the above embodiment, the calculation of the peak position FIONPOAVk is deleted in step S2, the calculation of the peak average position FIONPOAV is deleted in step S3, and the calculation of the peak position difference DFIONPO is deleted in step S4. A flowchart may be used in which CFIONPO is not determined and the calculation of the final ignition timing EASA is not performed in step S5. In the case of this other embodiment, only the basic injection time TP is corrected. However, the air-fuel ratio and the torque are substantially detected from the peak value AIONPKAVk and the integral value FIONIRAVk, and the deviation with respect to all cylinders is calculated. Since the increase / decrease correction is performed, a correction corresponding to the combustion state at that time can be performed as compared with a case where the amount is simply increased when there is a deviation, and the deviation of the combustion is controlled without deteriorating the air-fuel ratio. be able to.
[0029]
In addition, the configuration of each unit is not limited to the illustrated example, and various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
