本発明は、脚柱の突出長さをワンタッチで切換え可能な脚長調整装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
一般に、家具や家電機器等の脚長調整装置として、家具や家電機器等の下部にナット部材を埋設状に設けて、下端に脚座を有する螺軸からなる脚柱をこのナット部材に螺合させ、脚柱を回転操作することで脚長を調整するように構成したものが広く採用されている。
ところが、この種の脚長調整装置では、脚柱をナット部材に螺合させている関係上、脚長の微調整には好適であるが、脚長を大きく調整するためには脚柱を何度も回転操作する必要があり、調整作業が煩雑になるという問題があった。

そこで、ボタンやレバー操作により螺軸に対するナット部材のロック位置をワンタッチで軸方向に調整可能となした脚長調整装置も種々提案され、実用化されている。
例えば第1の公報としての特開平11−82881号公報には、脚柱が挿通する挿通孔を形成したナット部材を設け、このナット部材をその途中部において挿通孔の軸心と直交する支軸回りに回動自在に支持し、挿通孔の内面上部と内面下部に支軸を挟んで対称的に略半円筒状に雌螺子部をそれぞれ形成し、支軸を中心にナット部材を回動操作することで、両雌螺子部が脚柱に係合したロック位置と、両雌螺子部が脚柱から離間した解除位置とに切替可能となしたものが記載されている。

また、第2の公報としての特開平10−42981号公報には、螺軸からなる脚柱の両側に脚柱に係合可能な部分円筒状の雌螺子部を有する1対の係合駒を設け、この係合駒の上端部を脚柱と直交する支軸回りに回動自在に支持して、支軸を中心とした係合駒の回動操作により、両雌螺子部が脚柱に係合したロック位置と、両雌螺子部が脚柱から離間した解除位置とにわたって位置切替可能となしたものが記載されている。また、この公報には、係合駒をロック位置と解除位置とに回動操作するための操作手段として、係合駒の下側に水平方向にスライド可能なスライド部材を設け、このスライド部材に略ハ字状のガイド溝を形成するとともに、係合駒にガイド溝にそれぞれ係合する係合突部を形成し、スライド部材の押し操作により、係合突部がガイド溝に沿って移動して、両係合駒が解除位置側へ回動し、スライド部材から手を放すと、バネ部材の付勢力によりスライド部材が元の位置に復帰して、両係合駒がロック位置に復帰するように構成した操作手段が開示されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
第1の公報に記載の脚長調整装置は、構造は簡単であるが、雌螺子部と脚柱との係合面積を十分に確保するためには、ナット部材が上下方向に大型になるという問題があった。
一方、第2の公報に記載の脚長調整装置では、雌螺子部と脚柱との係合面積を十分に確保しつつ、ナット部材を上下方向に小型に構成できるが、スライド部材の水平方向への押し操作により係合駒を解除位置に位置切換するので、切替操作性があまりよくない。即ち、側部を手で保持可能な比較的薄肉なプロジェクターなどの家電機器にこの脚長調整装置を適用する場合には、家電機器の前部の両側部を手で保持した状態での脚長調整装置の操作性を確保することが好ましいが、スライド部材の水平方向への操作は、家電機器の側部を保持した状態では操作し難いものとなり、切替操作性があまりよくない。

また、第2の公報に記載の脚長調整装置では、ガイド溝により係合突部を案内して係合駒をロック位置と解除位置とに操作可能に構成している関係上、脚柱に対して上下方向への衝撃荷重が作用したときに、ガイド溝と係合突部との摩擦抵抗により両係合駒の解除位置側への回動が阻害され、脚柱と両係合駒との係合部分に大きな荷重が作用するとともに、ガイド溝と係合突部との係合部分に大きな荷重が作用し、これらの部材が破損するという問題があった。更に、両係合駒の解除位置からロック位置への復帰動作は、スライド部材を付勢するバネ部材により、ガイド溝及び係合突部を介して間接的に両係合駒をロック位置側へ付勢してなされるが、ガイド溝と係合突部との摩擦抵抗などにより、両係合駒がスムーズに復帰しないことがあった。更にまた、製作誤差等により両雌螺子部の下端部が上端部よりも脚柱の中心側に位置すると、脚柱に対して上方への大きな衝撃荷重が作用したときに、両雌螺子部の下端が脚柱に噛み込む方向へ回動して、両係合駒の雌螺子部や脚柱の雄螺子部が破損したり、係合駒の支軸が破損するという問題があった。

本発明の目的は、操作性及び耐久性に優れ、しかも脚柱に対して大きな衝撃荷重が作用した場合においても、係合駒や脚柱の破損を未然に防止可能な脚長調整装置を提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段及びその作用】
請求項1に係る脚長調整装置は、略直方体状のケーシングと、前記ケーシングの前部を上下に挿通する、外周面に凹凸部を形成した脚柱と、 前記ケーシングの前部内において脚柱の両側に配置した左右1対の係合駒であって、脚柱との対面部に脚柱の凹凸部に側方より係合可能な係合部を設け、前端部に上下両側へ突出する1対の支軸を脚柱と略平行に設け、支軸を中心としてケーシングに回動自在に支持されて、係合部が脚柱の凹凸部に係合したロック位置と、脚柱の凹凸部から離間した解除位置とにわたって位置切替可能となした1対の係合駒と、前記両係合駒の前端下部の外側部分に形成した凹溝に装着されて、両係合駒をロック位置側へ直接的に付勢する第1付勢手段と、前記ケーシングの後部に組み込まれ、第1付勢手段の付勢力に抗して両係合駒を解除位置側へ操作する操作手段であって、両係合駒の遊端側部分に形成した傾斜案内面と、傾斜案内面に係合するカム部を有しケーシング内に上下移動自在に組付けた操作レバーと、操作レバーを下側へ付勢する第2付勢手段とを有し、操作レバーを上側へ操作することにより、カム部で傾斜案内面を押圧して支軸を中心に両係合駒を解除位置側へ回動操作する操作手段とを備えたものである。

この脚長調整装置においては、操作手段により両係合駒を解除位置へ操作して、係合駒と脚柱との係合を解除し、この状態でケーシングからの脚柱の突出長さを調整することになる。そして、脚柱の突出長さを調整した状態で操作手段を解放すると、第1付勢手段の付勢力により両係合駒をロック位置へ復帰して、脚柱の凹凸部が係合駒の係合部に係合し、長さ調整した位置に脚柱が固定されることになる。

更に操作手段として、両係合駒の遊端側部分に形成した傾斜案内面と、傾斜案内面に係合するカム部を有しケーシング内に上下移動自在に組付けた操作レバーと、操作レバーを下側へ付勢する第2付勢手段とを有し、操作レバーを上側へ操作することにより、カム部で傾斜案内面を押圧して支軸を中心に両係合駒を解除位置側へ回動操作する操作手段を設けると、側部等を手で保持可能な比較的薄肉の家電機器等に適用することで、家電機器等を手で保持した状態で操作レバーを操作して脚柱の突出長さを調整できるので、脚長調整装置の操作性を向上する上で好ましい。しかも、操作レバーを下側へ付勢する第2付勢手段を設けることにより、部品点数は多少増えるが、上方へ操作した操作レバーの下方への復帰動作の信頼性や安定性を向上できるので好ましい。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態について図面を参照しながら説明する。
図1,図2に示すように、脚長調整装置1は、家具や家電機器等の機枠2の下部に取付けられる装置本体3と、装置本体3を上下方向に挿通して設けた脚柱4とを備えている。この脚長調整装置1は、機枠2の下部に1乃至複数個配置され、装置本体3から下方へ突出する脚柱4の突出長さを個別に調整することで、家具や家電機器等の高さや傾きを調整したり、プロジェクターにおいては、前側或いは後側の脚柱4の突出長さを調整することで、投光角度を調整することになる。

次に、係合駒21を解除位置側へ操作するための操作手段30について説明すると、図2〜図6に示すように、ケーシング12の後部内には後方へ延びるレバー部31を有する操作レバー32が上下移動自在に組付けらている。左右の係合駒21の後面下部には直角三角形状の凹部34が形成され、操作レバー32の前面下部には前方へ突出して左右の係合駒21の凹部34内へ延びるカム部35が形成され、操作レバー32を上方へ操作するとカム部35の傾斜部36が凹部34の傾斜案内面37上を摺動して、左右の係合駒21が支軸23を中心に解除位置側へ操作されるように構成されている。
