【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】この発明は、スクーター型自
動二輪車の側面反射板（サイドリフレクター）取付け装
置に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】自動二輪車は、使用する地域によって、
側面反射板の取付けが求められている地域と、側面反射
板の取付けが必要でない地域がある。又、自動二輪車の
中でも、スクーター型の自動二輪車は、車体全体を、曲
面構成などの外板で覆うようにして、スマートな外観に
仕上げられている。
【０００３】スクーター型自動二輪車に側面反射板を取
付ける場合には、車体外板のサイドカバー、サイドカバ
ロアー等は曲面で垂直面になっていないため、一端に垂
直面を持つ鉄板等からなるブラケット他端をその車体外
板の曲面に合せて取り付けて、その垂直面に側面反射板
を取付けたり、あるいは、該曲面に垂直側面ができるよ
うな取付け座を設けて、取付け座の垂直側面に側面反射
板を取付け（例えば、実公昭６１−３０９５１号公報参
照。）、取付け座を車体外板の曲面に取付けている。こ
れによって、側面反射板が側面から光を受けたときに確
実に反射できるようにしている。
【０００４】又、曲面に形成した車体外板の所望の一部
に垂直側面壁を形成し、ここに側面反射板を取付けるよ
うにしたものもある。こうして、側面反射板を確実に垂
直に横向きにして、側方から光を受けたとき、確実に反
射できるようにしている。
【０００５】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】車体外板の曲面に合せ
て取付けブラケットや取付け座を作るものは、一つ一つ
取付ける場所の車体外板の曲面に合せて作る必要があ
り、取付けブラケットあるいは取付け座の互換性がな
く、コスト高になると共に、取付け座の管理も大変であ
る。しかし、側面反射板の取付けを必要としない場合に
は、車体外板の曲面が、曲面のままで傷つくことなく外
観がよいものにできる利点がある。
【０００６】一方、車体外板の一部に垂直側面壁を形成
するものは、側面反射板の取付け座は、どの場所にも使
用することができて互換性があり、一種の取付け座で足
りる。しかし、側面反射板の取付けを必要としない場合
には、車体外板の一部に垂直側面壁が残り、不自然で外
観が悪くなる。
【０００７】かかる点に鑑み、この発明は、車体外板よ
り目立たない後輪泥除けに、車体外板より下側に突出さ
せて、ここに側面反射板を取付けるようにし、側面反射
板を互換性のあるもので安価にでき、側面反射板を取付
ける必要がない場合でも、車体外板を瑕のないものにで
きるスクーター型自動二輪車の側面反射板取付け装置を
得ることを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記目的を達成するため
に、この発明のスクーター型自動二輪車の側面反射板取
付け装置は、後輪の上側を覆う後輪泥除けの前部が車体
外板で覆われたスクーター型自動二輪車において、後輪
泥除けの前部を車体外板の下縁より下方に突出させて該
泥除け前部内にタンク収納スペースを設けてその収納ス
ペース内にタンクを収納し、かつ、該泥除け前部の突出
部分の一部外面を車体左右方向に膨出させ、該膨出部の
側壁と前記収納スペース内に収納した前記タンクとの間
にネジ片を収納可能な空間を形成し、該膨出部の側壁外
面に側面反射板を締着して取付けたことを特徴とする。
【０００９】本発明によれば、後輪泥除けの前部突出部
分の左右への膨出部に側面反射板を取付けるので、ブラ
ケットや取付け座を設けることなく、側面反射板を取付
ける事ができ、コストダウンが図れる。また、膨出部の
側壁外面に取付ける側面反射板は、裏面の取付け面が平
面な単純なものでよく、互換性あるものが使用できて、
安価な製造コストにできる。そして、側面反射板は、正
しく側方を向いて取付けられ、側面からの光を確実に反
射できて、視認効果の高いものにできる。又、側面反射
板を取付ける必要がない場合、車体外板に瑕が残ること
がなく、後輪泥除けの垂直側面壁は、車体外板で隠れて
目立つことが少くて、外観上都合がよい。

【発明の実施の形態】以下、本発明の実施の形態を図１
乃至図４によって説明する。実施の形態の側面反射板取
付け装置に係るスクーター型自動二輪車は、車体フレー
ムが見えないように、全体的に車体外板１で覆うように
してあり、車体外板１の後部上側には、シート２が取付
けられる。後輪３の上側には、リアフェンダー４ａとマ
ッドガード４ｂとからなる後輪泥除け４を取付けて、泥
跳ねを防ぐようにしてある。後輪泥除け４は、前側のリ
アフェンダー４ａを左右方向に広げてあって、内部に収
納スペース１０を設けその収納スペース１０内に燃料タ
ンク５を収納しかつ載置するようにしてある。また、後
輪泥除け４の後部は、後ろ斜め下方に延設されるマッド
ガード４ｂになっている。
【００１１】後輪泥除け４の前部のリアフェンダー４ａ
は、燃料タンク５の容積の関係で、収納スペース１０を
広げるため、車体外板１より下側位置まで下方に突出さ
せてあり、更にその突出部分４ｃの一部を下方部の円形
で縦長形状に車体左右に外側に膨出させて膨出部分１１
を形成し、かつ、該膨出部分１１の側面を垂直側面壁６
に形成する。そして、垂直側面壁６に貫孔を設け、側面
反射板７の裏面のネジ片８を通し、ナット９で締着す
る。燃料タンク５は、シート２を開いて給油するように
してある。収納スペース１０には燃料タンク５の他、オ
イルタンクを収納してもよい。
【００１２】側面反射板７は、車体外板１の下側に見え
て、後輪泥除け４に形成した垂直側面壁６に取付けら
れ、側面から光を受けて反射する。側面反射板７は、取
付け面が平面であるので、互換性のあるものを用いるこ
とができて、安価に入手できる。側面反射板を必要とし
ない場合でも、車体外板１に関係がなく、後輪泥除け４
の前部リアフェンダー４ａは一部車体外板１の下側に見
えることがあっても、車体外板１のように目立つことが
なく、外観に殆んど影響がない。また、側面反射板７の
取付けに際して、垂直側壁６の内面と燃料タンク５の外
面との間には膨出部分１１による空間１１ａがあるの
で、この空間１１ａでネジ片８の長さが収まることがで
き、ネジ片８の先端部が燃料タンク５を干渉することが
なく、燃料タンク５はネジ片８取付けのために容積を減
らす必要がない。

【発明の効果】以上説明したように、この発明は上述の
ように構成したので、取付けブラケットや取付け座を設
けることがないと共に、互換性のある側面反射板を用い
ることができるので安価に入手できることから、コスト
ダウンを図ることができる。また、側面反射板は、後輪
泥除けの膨出部側面壁に取付けて、側方から光を受ける
と確実に反射できる。又、側面反射板を取付ける必要が
ない場合は、車体外板には関係がなく、後輪泥除けに形
成した膨出部の垂直側面壁部分も、車体外板の下側で、
目立つことが少なく、車体外観に殆んど影響がない。ま
た、膨出部分側壁の内面とタンクの外面との間には膨出
部分による空間があるので、この空間でネジ片の長さが
収まることができ、ネジ片の先端部がタンクを干渉する
ことがなく、タンクはネジ片取付けのために容積を減ら
す必要がない。尚、後輪泥除けの垂直側面壁は後部方向
