2. Description of the Related Art In a heat exchanger such as a water heater, a plurality of endothermic water pipes having a group of heat exchange fins are inserted into one open end of a copper plate-shaped rectangular can body and these are externally connected to the can body. Take the configuration that communicates. The downstream ends of these endothermic water pipes are connected to a hot water outlet circuit outside the can body, and the upstream ends thereof are connected to a preliminary endothermic pipe wound around the can body.

For this reason, a minimum radius of curvature is required to bend the preheat absorption tube so that its cross section is not crushed. Therefore, the preheat absorption tube is wound tightly around the body of the can. Therefore, the corner portion of the body portion of the can is finished to have an arc-shaped cross section. Further, since a burner box, an exhaust pipe, and the like are connected to both ends of the can body having the above-described structure, flange portions projecting outward are provided in order to ensure airtightness with these parts.

However, in order to ensure the airtightness, it is necessary to uniformly adhere the entire flange portion to the mating side, so that a certain degree of rigidity is required. However, since the plate thickness of the can body is set to be thin from the viewpoint of heat exchange efficiency and cost reduction, combined with the fact that it is made of a copper plate and is soft as described above, the rigidity of the flange portion is insufficient. there were. Therefore, conventionally, the back surface of the flange portion is

As the conventional reinforcing plate, there is used one which is press-molded in advance into an L-shape so as to fit the corner portion of the can body. This is because it is possible to reliably reinforce the base end portion to the peripheral edge portion of the flange so that almost the entire area of the flange portion can be reliably attached to the mating side. When manufacturing the reinforcing plate, a blank is punched out from the plate material and then press-molded, resulting in a large material loss and a high manufacturing cost. In the manufacturing process as well, the blank shape is L-shaped, and the blanks between the blanks are increased because the blank shape is finished in the final shape after being plate-cut in the manner shown in FIG. There's a problem.

[Means for solving the problem]. The solution means of the first invention taken to solve the above-mentioned problem is, "When the reinforcing plate is attached and fixed along the flange portion so as to be wrapped around the body portion, the reinforcing plate as a whole is A straight band-shaped plate material, and a plurality of notches that expand toward one side edge of the plate material in a portion corresponding to the corner portion are continuous at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the band-shaped plate material, By bending the notch forming region in conformity with the corner portion, the reinforcing plate is caused to follow the body portion. The above-mentioned solving means operates as follows. Since the reinforcing plate as a whole is made of a linear strip-shaped plate material, this plate material can be manufactured from a strip-shaped material having a predetermined width. By forming the cutout portion in a predetermined manner on the plate material, the cutout portion forming region can be bent along with the corner portion of the body portion of the can body. For example, this plate material may be a molding material in which a strip-shaped material made of a thin metal plate is bent into a U-shaped cross section. In the case of this molding material, there are skirt portions on both sides of the cross section, and the notch portion of the portion corresponding to the corner portion is opened in the range from the base end portion of one skirt portion to the end edge of the other skirt portion. Need to be formed. In this case, the skirt portion remains on both the inner peripheral side and the outer peripheral side in a state where the notch forming region is bent in an arc shape. Therefore, in the state where the reinforcing plate having the skirt portion is additionally attached to and fixed to the flange portion, even if the reinforcing plate is made of a thin plate, the skirt portions have rigidity against a load in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the flange portion. Becomes higher.

Even if the reinforcing plate is a strip-shaped plate material having a length corresponding to one turn of the body portion of a rectangular tube-shaped can body, it is L-shaped or U-shaped along the adjacent side of the rectangular tube cross section. 2 strips of plate material
It may be a combination of two. . The solution of the second invention taken to solve the above-mentioned problem is "a reinforcing method using the reinforcing plate manufactured from a plate member made of a linear belt as a whole, and a part corresponding to the corner portion is provided. Is formed so that a plurality of notches that are open to one side of the plate material and expand toward the one side are continuous at a predetermined interval in the longitudinal direction of the plate material, and the other side of the portion corresponding to the corner portion is formed. A plurality of connecting tongues for connecting adjacent members of the cutouts are continuously formed in the longitudinal direction, and the plurality of connecting tongues are folded inward in a state where the cutout forming region is bent. By crimping the plate material at the portion corresponding to the corner portion to the reinforcing plate configured to be bent in an arc shape in a direction along the plane of the plate material, and the previously bent reinforcing plate to the flange portion. It is attached and fixed ”.

Also by this solving means, since the reinforcing plate can be manufactured by the linear plate member, material loss does not occur as in the first invention. In this case, the notch forming area of the linear plate material corresponds to the corner portion,
The bent portion is bent to have a predetermined curvature, and the bent portion is fixed in an arc shape by crimping the outer portion of the bent portion. It just needs to be attached directly to the flange.

In this case, since a pre-bent one is made to correspond to the can body, two L-shaped or U-shaped strip-shaped plate members along adjacent sides of a rectangular cross section are combined to form one roll. Workability is better when the structure is attached and fixed. Also in the second aspect of the invention, the plate member may be a thin plate member having a U-shaped cross section and having skirt portions on both sides.
In this case, the connecting tongue outside the bent portion is formed from the material of the portion corresponding to the outer skirt. The skirt portion is continuously formed at the inner end of the adjacent member sandwiched by the notches so that the skirt remains.

In these examples, the radius of the corner portion is set to about 15 mm, but the radius of the corner portion of the upper reinforcing plate (2a) is very small. The exhaust top (T) is connected (coupled) to the upper flange portion (11) in the same manner by using the reinforcing plate (2a) manufactured in the same manner. Since the radius of the corner portion of the body portion where the reinforcing plate (2a) is mounted is very small, it remains between the open ends of the cutout portions (22) and (22) as shown in FIG. The member is a triangular tongue (221).
(221) (221) When they are bent so that they are in close contact with each other, they can be bent with a very small curvature. In this case, the outer rising portion (261) of the bent portion (23) is the same as the straight line corresponding portion (21).
The short side portion (24) serves as a connecting portion with the second short side portion (25).
