As shown in FIG. 7, a plate joint welding preheating device according to the prior art is an induction heating machine having an inductor (inductor) 4 which is brought into contact with the butt welding portions 3 of the left and right steel plates 1 and 2 from below. And the coil conductor (square copper tube) 4 of the inductor 4
A high-frequency current flowing in b creates a magnetic field penetrating the steel plates 1 and 2 in the plate thickness direction, and induction heating is performed by an induction current based on this magnetic field. Inductor 4
Has, in addition to the coil 4b, an insulator 4d that also serves as a core 4c and a backing metal, so that the insulator 4d is brought into contact with the butt weld 3 and the steel plates 1 and 2 in the vicinity thereof from below. It has become. Cooling water is passed through the hollow holes 4a of the coil conductor 4b.

In the plate joint welding preheating device according to the above-mentioned prior art, a welding plate (back bar) is used.
Is also used as the inductor 4 for induction heating, that is, since the inductor 4 is arranged directly below the butt welding portion 3, the insulator 4d, by the beam 5 irradiated through the butt welding portion 3, Further, since the coil 4a is burnt out, the burned-out portion needs to be frequently replaced, which causes a problem that it cannot be used for continuous operation.

According to the present invention having the above structure, since the induced currents circulate along the surface of the steel sheet, the induced currents in opposite directions are concentrated at the end portions of the left and right steel sheets due to the proximity effect and a large current is generated. Flowing with a density. As a result, the ends are effectively heated. Also, only the back bar is in contact with the bottom of the butt weld, and the coils are located at both ends of the back bar, or only the rotary backing member is in contact with the bottom of the butt weld. Since the coil precedes the rotary backing member and the welding torch in the traveling direction of the carriage, continuous operation can be realized without burning the coil by the beam.

FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an extracted part of a preheating device of a plate joint welding device according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the back bar 11 is located below the butt welded portion 3 of the left and right steel plates 1 and 2 whose end faces face each other so as to perform plate piecing welding by a butt welder using laser, plasma, or the like. Is a backing metal abutted against the insulating plates 15a and 15b via the insulating members 15a and 15b, and is a member made of copper having passages 11a for cooling water extending in the width direction of the steel plates 1 and 2. The inductor 12 is
This is a transverse flux type inductor including a coil conductor 12b made of a rectangular copper tube and a core 12c. That is, the coil conductor 12b corresponds to the back bar 1
1, which are located below the left and right steel plates 1 and 2 of the butt weld 3 respectively, and as shown by extracting these parts in FIG. 2, a high frequency current supplied from a high frequency power source 13 flows. Thus, a magnetic flux penetrating the steel plates 1 and 2 in the plate thickness direction is generated. Cooling water is passed through the hollow holes 12a of the coil conductor 12b. In FIG. 1, the same parts as those in FIG. 7 are designated by the same reference numerals, and overlapping description will be omitted.

In the above embodiment, the circulating current I flowing through the steel sheets 1 and 2 before welding based on the magnetic flux Φ formed by the current flowing through the coil 12b is the steel sheet 1 as shown by the solid line arrow in FIG. 3 (a). , 2 are distributed and flow in a portion apart from the butt-welded portion 3 which is between the opposite end faces, the current density is small, and the closer to the end face the current is concentrated in the end face, the current density is growing. This is also because the steel plates 1 and 2 are butted against each other with a small gap (0.1 to 0.3 mm). At the end faces of the steel plates 1 and 2, induced currents I in opposite directions are caused by the proximity effect. It is because it concentrates on the edge. Therefore, the ends of the steel sheets 1 and 2, which are the welding portions that require the most preheating for the butt welding by the laser and plasma welder, are effectively heated.

When welding is started, the induced current I is shown in FIG.
Since the circulating current I shown by the solid arrow in (b) is generated, the end face portion of the welding bead 14 immediately before welding is most accompanied by heat generation, and the most necessary portion of the butt welding portion 3 is efficient. Well heated.

On the other hand, at this time, the welding beam 5 is applied only to the back bar 11 and not to the coil 12a, and the back bar 11 is effectively cooled by the cooling water flowing through the passage 11a. Can withstand continuous operation of welding work.

FIG. 4 shows an extracted part of the preheating device of the plate joint welding device according to the second embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, this preheating device is provided with block-shaped insulating members 15c and 1c.
The back bar 11 is arranged via 5d, and the coil conductor 12b is arranged mainly surrounding the insulating members 15c and 15d. With such an arrangement, the distance between the welded portion 3 and the back bar 11 becomes large and the heating of the back bar 11 by the beam 5 is reduced. In addition, it is possible to effectively reduce the flow of the induced current in the back bar 11 by energizing the inductor 12. Therefore, the back bar 11 can be prevented from being heated and damaged, and
The heating electric efficiency of the ends of the steel plates 1 and 2 by the inductor 12 is improved.
