By the way, generally, two adjacent sides of the four sides of the roofing material 1 are provided with folded-back portions 6 and 7 for edge prevention, and therefore the roofing material 1 As shown in FIG. 27 (c), the two corners have a thickness corresponding to four roofing materials 1 due to the overlapping portions 9 of the folded-back portions 6 and 7. Therefore, the roofing materials 1 and 1 arranged at the eaves tip
In the interval, the overlapping portion (a portion in FIG. 26) of the supporting piece 4 and the connecting piece 5 becomes thick and rises upward. On the other hand, between the roofing materials arranged on the middle side, the thickness of the overlapping portion (b portion in FIG. 26) of the connecting piece 5 and the supporting piece 4 of the four roofing materials 1 adjacent to each other in the front, rear, left and right is further thicker. As a result, there is a problem in that the roof surface is bulged upward, and as a result, unevenness is generated due to the bulge on the roof surface and the appearance is impaired. Further, there is a problem in terms of waterproofness that a gap is created between the support piece 4 and the connection piece 5 due to the above-mentioned rise and rainwater enters.

In the roof material 1A without a vertical joint arranged at the eaves side, as shown in FIGS. 1 (a), (b), FIG. 2 (a), and FIGS. An overlapping portion 9 of the first folded portion 6 and the second folded portion 7 at both ends.
Eave-side cutouts 10 and 11 are formed by cutting out the substantially rectangular shape. The eaves side notches 10 and 11 are formed by pre-cutting before providing the folded-back portions 6 and 7, and when the connection piece 5 is superposed on the support piece 4, the superposition portion 9 is upward. It works to prevent the heat from rising. In addition, in this example, the cutouts 1 on both sides of the eaves
Notch dimensions d 1 and d 2 of 0 and 11 are different. For example, as shown in FIG. 3A, the dimension D 1 of the eaves side cutout 10 before folding back in the eaves ridge direction N is, for example, 25 mm, and the dimension D 2 of the eaves side cutout 11 in the eaves ridge direction N is, for example, 27 mm. Then, as shown in FIG. 3 (b), the eaves side end portion 1a is folded back along the entire length thereof with a predetermined dimension d 3 (for example, 12 mm), and the one side end portion 1b is fixed along the entire length thereof with a predetermined dimension d 3. Fold it back at 4 (eg 12 mm). As a result, the protruding dimension d 1 of the eaves side end portion 1a in the eaves ridge direction N (FIG. 1A)
Is 13 mm, and the projecting dimension d 2 (FIG. 1B) of the one end 1b in the eaves ridge direction N is 15 mm. This allows
When the connecting piece 5 of the other roofing material 1A is superposed on the supporting piece 4 of the one roofing material 1A as described later, the eaves side notch formed on the connecting piece 5 side (upper side) The eaves side notch 1 in which the front end edge 13 of 10 is arranged on the support piece 4 side (lower side)
The front end edge 13 of the No. 1 protrudes toward the eaves side P, the front end edge 13 plays a role of an eaves, and the rainwater flowing on the connection piece 5 is provided in the gap between the connection piece 5 and the support piece 4. It is designed to prevent infiltration. Of course, the cutout dimensions of the eaves side notches 10 and 11 and the folded back dimensions of the eaves side end 1a and the one side end 1b are not limited to the above numerical values.
