Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a connection method for connecting each electric wire such as a single wire and a stranded wire to a slit terminal. 2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, when a coated electric wire is connected to a U-slit terminal of a connector body, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the U-slit terminal a has a slit portion b (an electric wire holding portion). Thus, the covered electric wire c is connected at right angles. Therefore, according to the above-described conventional connection form, as shown in FIG. 5, in the connector main body d, an extra space for arranging wires around the U slit terminal a is provided. , Which hinders miniaturization of the connector and has the problems of extremely poor connection efficiency. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, and has a configuration in which the connection direction and the direction in which the coated electric wire is drawn out are arranged in the same axial direction as the U-slit terminal. By connecting to the insulated wire drawn out from the connection part, the influence on the arrangement of the adjacent terminals, the influence on the adjacent terminals and the electric wire arrangement is reduced, and the necessary connection space in a plane can be reduced, and in a small space, It is an object of the present invention to provide a method of connecting U-slit terminals, which can realize a high-density cable connector. In order to achieve the above object, a method of connecting a U-slit terminal according to the present invention comprises a plurality of electric wires having the same pitch as the pitch of the U-slit terminal for connection of a connector body. After inserting an electric wire through each of the two electric wire fixing plates provided with the insertion holes in communication with each other, the electric wire is moved by moving both electric wire fixing plates in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the electric wire. Along with bending and fixing, when the two electric wire fixing plates are moved in the opposite direction, in a bent portion of each electric wire, a plurality of terminal insertion holes respectively provided in the both fixing plates so as to communicate coaxially. Each U-slit terminal of the connector body is press-fitted, and a bent portion of each electric wire is obliquely crimp-connected to a slit portion of the U-slit terminal. An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of an electric wire fixed state for obliquely connecting an electric wire to a U-slit terminal, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA in FIG. 1, and FIGS. 3 (A) and 3 (B). FIG. 4 shows a front view and a side view of a state in which a coated electric wire is obliquely connected to a U slit terminal, and FIG.
(A)-(D) are each explanatory drawing which carried out the cross section of each process for diagonally connecting a covered electric wire to a U slit terminal. As shown in FIG. 1, two types of wire fixing plates 3 and 4 are used to diagonally connect a covered wire 2 to a U slit terminal 1. These two types of wire fixing plates 3, 4
The connector a plurality of U-slit terminal 1,1 ... arrangement pitch a and a plurality of wire insertion holes 7 in the same pitch a 1 fixed at regular intervals on the housing 6 of the body 5,
, 8, 8 ... penetrate in the vertical direction, that is, the direction in which the U-slit terminals 1, 1, ... are press-fitted. As shown in FIG. 1, the two electric wire fixing plates 3 and 4 are arranged in an up-and-down arrangement to be slidable in opposite directions in the left-right direction of FIG. The wires 7 and 8 are held in a vertically communicating state, and in this state, the electric wire 2 is configured to be inserted through the insertion holes 7 to 8. The one wire fixing plate 3 is provided with approximately 45 for bending the wire 2 at one lower portion of each of the wire insertion holes 7, 7,. An inclined hole 7a inclined in degrees is continuously provided. Further, as shown in FIG. 1, the two electric wire fixing plates 3 and 4 are slid in opposite directions, and the coated electric wires 2. ...
, A plurality of terminal insertion holes 9, 9,.
0, 10... Are formed at the same pitch as the pitch a of the U slit terminals 1, 1,. The terminal insertion holes 9, 9...
Of the 10, 10..., The upper wire fixing plate 3 is formed such that the length in the vertical direction is set to be longer than the insertion length of the U slit terminal 1 by a required dimension, and the lower wire fixing plate 3 is fixed. The plate 4 is formed so as to penetrate vertically. Next, a method of connecting the U-slit terminal 1 will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. As shown in the same figure (A), in a state where the wire insertion holes 7 and 8 of the upper and lower two types of wire fixing plates 3 and 4 are communicated on the same axis, the coated wire is inserted into the two wire insertion holes 7 and 8. Insert 2. Next, as shown in FIG. 1B, when the two electric wire fixing plates 3 and 4 are slid in opposite directions in the left and right direction by a predetermined stroke, the covered electric wire 2 is inclined downward from the upper side to the lower side. And fixed to the electric wire fixing plates 3 and 4, and the terminal insertion holes 9 and 10 provided in these plates are coaxially connected. Next, as shown in FIG. 1C, the extra end 2b of the covered electric wire 2 protruding downward from the lower end of the insertion hole 8 is cut at the same plane as the lower surface of the electric wire fixing plate 4. When the U-slit terminal 1 of the connector main body 5 is pressed into the terminal insertion holes 9 and 10 from the lower side upward as shown in FIG. By being sandwiched between the slit portions 1a of the U slit terminal 1, the coating of the coated electric wire 2 is broken, and the coated electric wire 2 is obliquely connected to the U slit terminal 1. Next, when the two electric wire fixing plates 3 and 4 are removed, the connection portion of the U slit terminal 1 of the connector body 5 is exposed as shown in FIG. If a split mold method such as a molding die is adopted for the electric wire fixing plates 3 and 4, the detachment is facilitated, which is convenient. According to the present invention, since the connection to the U-slit terminal is made as described above, the connection direction to the U-slit terminal and the direction in which the coated electric wire is drawn are the same axial direction. The insulated wire drawn out has less influence on the arrangement of adjacent terminals, adjacent terminals and electric wire arrangement, and can reduce the required connection space in a plane compared to the conventional connection method. Enables high-density cable connectors.
