2. Description of the Related Art The surface decoration method for a plastic molded product, in which a pattern is printed or painted on the surface of the plastic molded product, increases the added value of the molded product and gives a high-class feeling. In recent years, it has been particularly noticed for the purpose of giving it. However, many molded products have complicated three-dimensional surfaces, and it is often difficult to give a uniform pattern to the surface having such a complicated shape for finishing. After the pattern is formed on the molded product, it is general to coat the pattern layer in order to protect the pattern layer and give a high-grade feeling. However, such a painting work requires man-hours and time in the work process, resulting in an increase in cost.

There is a hydraulic transfer method as a method for solving such a drawback. In this hydraulic transfer method, as shown in FIG. 4, a printing film 54 (FIG. 4A) having a printing ink layer 52 in which a desired pattern is printed on a water-soluble film substrate 50 is provided on the printing surface 52 side. Activating process of ink for spraying an activator (solvent) to dissolve ink a little and improving transferability onto a molded product (FIG. 2 (b)), activated printing film Floating step 54 on the surface of water for floating 54 in a water tank 56 (FIG. 7B), and application of a pretreatment agent for spraying a primer on the surface of the molded product 58 to ensure the adhesion between the molded product and the printing ink layer 52. Step ((c) of the same figure), a base coating step of applying a base coat of a base color and drying it sufficiently to make the finished hue uniform ((d) of the same figure), Formed on the floated printing film 54 The transfer step of pushing in the product 58 and uniformly pressing and adhering the film 54 activated by water pressure on the surface of the molded product ((e) in the same figure), and cleaning the water-soluble film layer 50 of the transferred printing film 54. To remove only the printing ink layer 52 by washing with water or a weak solvent 60 ((f) in the same figure), and if necessary, the water and solvent are dried and removed to completely adhere the ink. A drying step, a top coating step of applying a top coating to protect the printing ink layer (FIG. 9 (g)), and a heating step of drying or curing the top coating material to obtain a finished product 62.

However, this hydraulic transfer method requires special mechanical equipment, requires a special printing film, requires several coating steps, and not only leads to an increase in cost, but also a coating film on the surface layer. The thickness is as thin as about 0.05 mm, the degree of clearness is low and a high-quality surface cannot be obtained. Further, since water is used, there is a problem that it is difficult to use a material that is weak against water such as wood.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] Laminating Step (FIG. 1 (a)) As shown in FIG. 1 (a), an adhesive or an adhesive agent is applied onto an acrylic resin sheet 2 of a predetermined size placed on a carrier plate. While applying the solvent, the vinyl chloride resin sheet 4 having a pattern on its surface is fed by the feed rollers 6 and 6, and the pressure rollers 8 and 10 are fed.
Then, the two sheets 2 and 4 are laminated. At this time, the temperature of the pressure roller 8 on the vinyl chloride resin sheet side is heated to about 50 to 80 ° C. By this treatment, a composite sheet in which a vinyl chloride resin sheet 4 having a pattern is adhesively laminated on the acrylic resin sheet 2 is obtained. The acrylic resin referred to in this specification includes not only acrylate but also methacrylate.

The thickness of the acrylic resin sheet used here is preferably about 0.3 to 2 mm. If the thickness is too thin, the smoothness of the acrylic resin sheet after molding will be insufficient,
On the other hand, if it is too thick, the trimming work after the molding process becomes difficult. A commercially available product may be used as the patterned vinyl chloride resin sheet to be used, and the thickness thereof is 0.08 to 0.
It is preferably about 16 mm. As the vinyl chloride resin sheet 4 with a pattern, as shown in FIG. 3 , one having a printed layer 14 with a pattern printed on the vinyl chloride base layer 12, or further, for example, vinyl chloride on the printed layer 14. Although any of those provided with a protective layer 16 made of a resin can be used, in the present invention, since a thick acrylic resin sheet is adhered on the printed layer 14, further protection is provided on the printed layer 14 such as the latter. The layer 16 may not be used. However, depending on the type of the adhesive or solvent used for bonding the vinyl chloride resin sheet and the acrylic resin sheet, it may be preferable to provide a protective layer for protecting the printing layer from the adhesive or solvent.

As the adhesive to be applied on the acrylic resin sheet, an acrylic resin-based adhesive is preferable because it has good adhesiveness and also has good transparency on the adhesive surface. Further, as the solvent, a solvent capable of dissolving both acrylic resin and vinyl chloride resin, for example, dichloroethane can be used.

Annealing process (FIG. 1 (b)) Composite sheet 18 laminated by laminating process
Is placed in a heating dryer 24 and heat-treated at a temperature of about 50 to 80 ° C. for about 5 to 20 hours. By this annealing treatment, the residual solvent is removed, the adhesive strength between the laminated acrylic resin sheet and the vinyl chloride resin sheet is increased, and the moisture remaining in the acrylic resin sheet is removed. If the treatment temperature is too low or the treatment time is too short, annealing will not be performed sufficiently, and if the treatment time is too long, it will be complex.
The sheet deteriorates.

Molding process (FIGS. 1 (c) and 1 (d)) The composite sheet 18 which has been subjected to the annealing treatment is clamped at its end and the sheet-shaped heater 26 is used to form the composite sheet 18 into 9 pieces.
It is heated and softened at a temperature of about 0 to 140 ° C (Fig. 1
(C)). If the temperature is too low, the softening is insufficient, and if the temperature is too high, the softening is excessive and the workability deteriorates. Next, the lower table 30 of the vacuum molding machine on which the plastic molded product 28 is placed is raised, and at the same time, vacuum suction is performed from the vacuum suction holes 32 to remove the air between the composite sheet 18 and the molded product 28 to remove the molded product 28. The composite sheet 18 is formed along the outer shape (FIG. 1D). At this time, work is performed so that the vinyl chloride resin sheet layer 4 side of the composite sheet 18 faces the upper surface side of the molded product 28.

1. A laminating step in which an acrylic resin sheet and a patterned vinyl chloride resin sheet are coated with an adhesive or solvent and laminated while heating, and an annealing step in which a composite sheet obtained by the laminating step is heat-treated. And, the composite sheet that has been subjected to annealing is softened by heating,
This heat-softened composite sheet is vacuum-sucked onto a plastic molded product to form the composite sheet on the molded product, and the composite sheet molded by the molding process is once removed from the molded product, A method for decorating the surface of a plastic molded product, which comprises a trimming process of cutting out an excessive portion of the composite sheet, and an adhesion process of adhering the trimmed composite sheet onto the molded product.
